+Fubar512 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Looks like NYC and Boston are in for a bit of shoveling this weekend. I'm sure glad that I stocked up on beer! http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/feb/07/us-northeast-snow-storm-new-york-boston
+Veltro2k Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Im just worried about my roof..I hope this storm doesnt finish what Sandy started
+Fubar512 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Well Ed at least you stocked the essentials. Yes. The news crapsters are doing a great job of inciting panic. The super markets and gas stations have lines (its mostly due to the transplanted cityiots in my neck o' the woods). My response to the whole affair?
+JediMaster Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Now you know the joy of hurricane hysteria that we experience every year. The media pounces on even Cat 1 storms like it's going to be Twister in everyone's yard, sending reporters to stores talking about lines BEFORE they've formed (ensuring they will form), filming all-new stories that are just remakes of the ones we've seen 10,000 times before about securing your windows and crap...
+SupGen Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Can somebody tell me when we started naming snowstorms? Winter Storm Nemo?
dsawan Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Hoth calling in! any at at's and speeders? plowed under. havent lost power yet but flinching . Lots of downed wires and trees though from reports on police scanner. Edited February 9, 2013 by dsawan
+JediMaster Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Yes, because Nemo certainly evokes images of icy weather, certainly not, I don't know, the sea?
