Wrench Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 the WW2 version (as in "Sink the Bismark") was sunk 1941 so, post war is new build Quote
+JonathanRL Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 There was a few before then too. Ark Royal, Flagship of the English Fleet facing the Spanish Armada And the WW1 Aircraft Carrier Ark Royal... So the WW2 one, sunk by a U-boat is the third. Quote
MigBuster Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Ark Royal R09 was commissioned in 1955: wiki: Ark Royal was the first ship to be constructed with an angled flight deck and steam catapults, as opposed to having them added after launching Quote
+allenjb42 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) We have the post-war R09 and there is also the Invincible class version. http://combatace.com/files/file/13758-sf2na-ultimate-carriers-pack/ AFAIK the WW2 version isn't available. Edited May 3, 2013 by allenjb42 Quote
usafphantom2 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Is it possible to remove the angled deck from post-war R09 to create the WW2 Version? I really want one can ya tell? Quote
Wrench Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 nope 'remove component trick' dosen't work on groun dobjects ... I've alredy tried in essence, a complety NEW model would be needed Quote
MigBuster Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Ark Royal (91) was a unique ship - nothing like the post war one - the best model to use is the old Eagle Straight deck model from the carrier pack which has model men on the deck - I probably wont get round to doing the korean war and WW2 era for a while yet.
