Hi folks, I remember reading these forums and seeing something about changing an .ini file in the game to make stock planes flyable but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it and can't seem to find it again.

Could someone point me in the right direction please.

Apologies if it's right under my nose & I'm not seeing it!

thanks

Yes,you need add a cockpit...just add this for relevant cockpit....if you use a plane in game thats not stock...then you need download a pit...or if its a plane thats add on but has one in game stock also...u can use stock pits..

extract the a\c ini file you want pit for...and add cockpit line as this in bold for the mig29c

btw...u dont need cockpit folder in a\c folder unless its add on cockpit with modded items

[AircraftData]
AircraftFullName=MIG-29 Fulcrum-C - UKRAINE AF
AircraftShortName=Fulcrum
AircraftDataFile=MIG-29C_data.ini
CockpitDataFile=MiG-29C_cockpit.ini
HangarScreen=Mig29C_Hangar.jpg
LoadingScreen=MiG-29C_loading.jpg
LoadoutImage=Mig-29C_LOADOUT.bmp
LoadoutFile=MIG-29_loadout.ini
AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll
AvionicsDataFilename=MiG-29C_Avionics.ini

Thanks for the tips guys & I 've remembered to bookmark the page this time :)

funny thing is though - I seem to remember the fix to be much simpler than that?

Something like editing a single .ini file in the main game folder? - or did I just imagine that?

For a quick thrash in any AI aircraft you can amend your Options.ini to include the following line;

FlyAll=TRUE

This goes in the [singleMission] section and you just need to change FALSE to TRUE. This then makes all aircraft flyable by giving your AI aircraft the A-4B pit. It's no substitute for a dedicated pit or a suitable substitute but it's a nice little 'quick and dirty' mod.

Thanks very much again - he is delighted with his new aircraft. :)

Another thing he has asked is whether there is a setting that can give him invulnerability or unlimited missiles?

Tell him to man up :)

Is that really not possible on the EASY in game settings? - just assumed it was

If you cant do it in game then I'm afraid it may require a lot more modding
