Hello all, another noob question coming up;

I am having an issue with attempting to win campaigns on NA and Vietnam.

I always preform my (mainly strike) missions and take out all of the primary targets, and usually many targets of opportunity. If I don't, I usually Re-fly the mission. Yet, after many missions, I get the "this campaign is finished" and if I click accept, it's all over. (If I'm playing NA, I'm responsible for destroying the world!)

I've checked that I still have planes, pilots and ordance remaining.

Could anyone provide my some suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? I always hit all of my strike objectives, yet I still lose the campaign. Frustrating!

Thanks! - Jake

The campaign target is defined, if friendly ground forces capture the enemy base (capital) or similar. If this is achieved the campaign is over. Or if the missions limit is arrived, then the campaign is a draw. Or if enemy ground forces capture the friendly base, then the campaign is lost.

Pretty much as above -

some examples

SF2NA

The campaign structure is different to all the other games - so if you fly an A-7 and the AI F-14s dont take out the bombers and the landing fleet get taken out then that can end as stalemate

In SF2V

Even though there is a DMZ there are no ground forces - so with no ground war  you essentially fly a series of missions within the time period. In the campaign you will get proper unit representation and the different skins - but your objective is to survive the tour really (pretty much as the real thing).

In any of the 3 campaigns historically the best you can hope for was a draw - i.e. LBII achieved clear objectives for the US - but North Vietnam still went on to invade South Vietnam and win.

SF2/E/I

This is more straight forward - you get a FLOT and ground forces actively engaging each other - With these you win by making sure your ground forces get to the objectives

Thanks Gepard; Besides the campaign description, is there any other way to check the definitions? In a file, perhaps?

Thanks MigBuster, for the information. I'll pay more attention to those details.

The plain "campaign finished" sometimes comes, because the carrier leaves the map, doesn't it?

I haven't touched it in ages. I just remembered, that someone complained about LB II ending after a raid or two in a recent thread.

The Pilot career and the over all campaign designed into EAW is most playable on v1.2.
The EAWPRO has a set of files you can download extra, to give the v1.2 campaign while still using many of the effects and improvements in the FXEXE.

      https://www.mediafire.com/folder/l0g2lap23wi39/game-patch-fxexe
That link is to get the EAWPRO patch and the extra Career Target and FMs Files for it.

So I'am playing this strike fighters 2 black sea crisis addon and I believe I did everything right . The campaigns work for all factions except United States air force . When I select them and a specific squadron of aircraft and click on generate campaign ,the game just crashes to desktop . The same thing does not occur for Russian , ukrainian air force  and united States navy . What could I be missing here . ? For some reason , the USAF aircraft are easily flown in single mission scenarios . Like the F16 will fly in single missions but when I try to click on its campaign . The game just crashes .

      Hi,
a couple of months ago i discovered this gorgeous total conversion called "Yankee Air Pirate", and that the "REVAMP" edition for SF2 (the original one was for WOV) existed, and other awesome total conversions like "Drug Wars" and "Flight School" too, so i got ready to download them, but since i hadn't enough space at the time, i waited.
Now i come back on the website to find out all the links and pages about the revamp are gone, there's only the original ones for SF1 series.
Do anyone of you know why they're gone? Will they come back? They're maybe updating the mods?
      Thanks

Can anyone help me with this campaign for ICELAND02 V2?
I took an existing Campaign for ICelandNA, edited all the bases to existing bases in ICELAND02, changed the strategic points too, to the same or similar locations on both maps, but when I go to start it, the aircraft/squadron I chose is run over and the game puts me in a random Hawkeye.
Before I changed all the bases, etc., effectively converting one terrain to another, just changing the terrain from one to another, the campaign started normally without any problems regarding the aircraft/squadron I chose, the only problem was that after a single mission the campaign ended. , saying that the strategic objectives had been achieved.

I've attached the files below, if anyone can test them and eventually help me, that would be cool.
If there is a campaign already made for ICELAND02 V2 and someone has it, I would also be grateful.
