vertical_stab_ant is the antenna coming out of the front of the tail.

 

I found rwr_tail in an old .LOD.  I'm guessing I just need to do "TOP" and "BOTTOM" to get the rest of it.

i just increased the size of the decal slightly   something to the tune of xx.5 instead of xx.3.  dont remember having that issue on the N tho

I'm just going off pictures, but it varies. For VF-111 though, I haven't found a pic that didn't have it painted.

some were some weren't. more were later in the naval Phantoms life, which coincidentally is my area of interest. even more interesting is many had it cut off at the line for the rudder so only halfway down the rwr....
