Does anyone know anything about the Coins card?

I'm wondering if any of you happen to know something about these things. Could their information be easily hacked when people jack a WAP code? Would all the data be swipped if that code is too be taken? Just wondering. All in all its looks like a pretty cool thing to have in the wallet.

Well something even simpler and more secure , it's called Cash. My favorite .

In theory anything can be cracked - that card needs a physical swipe it looks like so you need physical access to the card and a reader. (Very brief / Lazy research shows no wireless)

 

How secure it is depends on the security that's been implemented.

 

I like that its a dedicated device and a replacement for normal plastic cards - it probably is preferable to it going on as a phone app on an embedded OS where its difficult to see whats logging your transactions and are usually transmitting wireless.

Of course, cash is easily stolen, lost or burned in the fires of time.
