Nevada (NTTR) update, waiting to the 1.3.0

With the completion of the airbase lights at Nellis and Creech, all major art and geometry components of the NTTR map are now complete. We are now waiting for the integration of EDGE and the new map data system into DCS to allow the importing of new maps such as the NTTR.

Not quite Arma 3-level detail on those infantry, but it's pretty good for even Combined Arms.

They are missing the crap load of photographers sitting on the side of the road, waiting for the jets to launch/recover near "Flex-Turn" corner.

I was part of that mob back in Feb. for RF 14-01

JM, My gut still hurts from the "DCS: Goat Sim" comment over at SHq.

Without a solid foundation for a what era/theater this sim should model, DCS is "EDGING" closer to my recycle bin.

Just my $.02

Maybe so.

Tired of all the promises and let downs at our expense. I'll let someone else do the funding for a while.

You're missing the pint then Jeff. DCS is a launching platform for many theaters to be in it. It's not hard to pick and choose what you want to fly.

I saw their intent and thought it was a great plan. But the execution has been the problem. All thrust, no vector...

There are other maps in development by others who are waiting for EDGE's release to come out, or at least to progress to a point where their release will be practical. ED itself is only doing Nevada right now (that they've announced), but Normandy at a minimum is in the works.

Hmmm. So $16 for the full BS2? I want to get it to eliminate the hassle of having the upgrade version, but I was hoping for a little less. I guess I'll wait for now, if I don't have to reinstall it's a non-issue.
