ultramig688 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I just installed the a-10 warthog pack and am having a problem with certain sounds.the engine fire ,over g,and yaw rate sounds all sound like a 45 record played at 33 rpm and the low altitude warning wav. file wasn't in the install file.does anybody know where I can find the low altitude warning wave file? thanks for any help.
+Fubar512 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 There is no working sound event coded for "low altitude" in this series, and associating a WAV file to a non-functional event will result in..............................................................................................................................................................a nonfunctional sound!
ultramig688 Posted September 21, 2014 Author Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) The reason I asked is it shows an entry in the a-10c data.ini under sounds for low altitude warning and references a wave file I thinks it's called BBtyLowAlt .( the spelling maybe wrong but it's something like that). +Fubar512 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 It does not matter what it's called, it will always be non-functional, unless the developer of the series codes that event in.
Sheriff001 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 At least the missing sound isn't the GAU-8.
+Wrench Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Bitching Betty used to work in 1stGen ... both the Falcons and Eagles. I still have the wavs laying around somewhere. But she gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying, I deleted those lines from the data inis easiest, and simplest fix for the GAU-8, is open the gun's data ini (located in the /Objects/Guns folder, and change the following line: GunFireSound=Vulcan it ain't the Avenger cannon, sound, but it works fine
+Viper63a Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Thanks, I was looking for this as well...also, betty sounds like a chipmunk...help?
