As stated in topic - SF2_NA Stalls/freezes after mission start? Don't know if this is a result of the latest Windows update or not? I have re-installed the basic program and updated to latest patch via TW. Added all 'KAW' mods back into applicable folders. I also installed latest driver for my GTX 650 vid. card and installed latest DirectX.........Floundering? Please help.

Haven't tried running it in administrator mode - will do.

Mods are all KAW and other Combat Ace stuff.

Profiles are set to default - I'll try and work with different settings and see what happens.

Everything was working fine until the latest Windows update?

Thanks MigBuster for your reply and input.

Well that must be something from your installed mods.

Had something similar, after i added a new (terrain) object.

BTw, does it happen @ all terrains or only at one specific?

So far my KAW series only with the freeze issue. Initially after the latest Microsoft update I was receiving this problem on all SF2, WOx V2 series:

The procedure entry point Direct3DCreate9Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll

I reinstalled the basic SF2_NA program updated to latest patch July 2013 and it will run without the 'BURP/warning' but after about 30 to 40 second of flight it freezes.

I then have to 'cont alt del' in order to exit the sim?????

I have never had Avast so I tried Microsoft essentials for my virus software because this was mentioned in previous issues/article.

My original virus software was Norton.........I don't think this was the problem.

Have down loaded and installed latest GTX 650 driver and Direct X.

Still stumped on my KAW install - must be something with an object or data entry?

Thanks for your interest feedback MigBuster & Soulfreek

I reckon the base question atm is whether it happens to stock SF2NA? If yes must be system level prob, if not it's the mods. After that's figured out you starting diving into the issue...

Thanks Ya All - Hope all is well

Afirm - No freeze with SF2_NA stock. Had to re-install stock program however to alleviate the loading stall ie.  'The procedure entry point Direct3DCreate9Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll'  This loading failure happened to all my SF2/WOx installs. The only way I could get them to continue was to select the try again button several times. I would get this problem as the sim loaded and while the mission loaded.

I'll do some searching for objects..........Don't know what the enbseries refers to? I do have a base that some ground objects are missing; trucks and vehicles, maybe this is the issue - I'll research number sequence and such in targetdata.ini

Thanks russouk2004 & MigBuster

OK MigBuster - I think it the 'enbseries' was the culprit. I did a search to find out what this file was on CA and found the dll file in my main SF2 exe area. Did not find applicable ini file in flight folder though. Removed dll file and all seems well at  this point.

Bravo Sir and thanks to all for your feedback. The folks here at CA ROCK both staff, modders, and folks 'in the know'

Thanks, NIELS
