This goes to the "Terraformers". Is there an update for Wrench´s old SFP1 Pearl Harbour to SFNA standards? Did anybody knows how? I´d try myself but some issues founded - no intercept missions for the Allies (wich is sad for this terrain) and no Aircraft Carrier operations for USN. the rest works fine. Thanks!

That is one terrain would be ideal for the SF2NA "LOD-based" engine.  Too bad that TK won't release the details on how to take advantage of that option.

Thanks for replying guys! This´s my own INI:

[Terrain]
TerrainFullName=Hawaii
DataFile=Hawaii_data.INI
TargetFile=Hawaii_targets.INI
TargetTypeFile=Hawaii_types.INI
MovementFile=Hawaii_movement.INI
NationsFile=Hawaii_nations.INI
BriefingText=Hawaii_briefing.INI
DogfightFile=Hawaii_dogfight.INI
DogfightOnly=FALSE
CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat
//Longitude=21
//Latitude=158
Longitude=106
Latitude=16
LimitedNations=FALSE
GroundObjectTexture=Green
NavalMap=TRUE
WaterMap=Hawaii_Water.bmp

[Map]
FilenameFormat=planningmap%d.bmp
Width=1000000.0
Height=1000000.0
NumZoomLevels=3

[AllowedDates]
StartDate=12/1/1941
EndDate=12/1/1941

[AllowedMissionTypes]
FriendlyMissionTypes=CAP,INTERCEPT,RECON
EnemyMissionTypes=ESCORT,STRIKE,SEAD,RECON,ANTI_SHIP

What´s wrong?

Just noticed your start and end dates are the same date. Is it supposed to be that way?

it should not be.

December 1st??? Wilches, man, you need to check your history books!!! :biggrin:

your allowed dates should read:

StartDate=12/7/1941

EndDate=12/8/1941

I've updated mine to full NA coding, and it's a bit broken.  I don't feel it's worth fucking around with. not for a terrain that only good for 18 hours. Pity too, there's some good things in there, like Ford Island that Geezer made for me.

Oddly, using the CV zones, IJN birds work fine. AAF (ok, USAF), USN and USMC aircraft will (sometimes) lock up the game and crash it.

I've tried the "switch nation01" trick

[LimitedNationList]

FriendlyNation001=USAF

FriendlyNation002=USN

FriendlyNation003=USMC

EnemyNation001=IJN

This, above, seems the best compromise. OTH, Strike missions (when flown by the Navy), don't seem to generate any escort fighters. AT ALL.

the main ini should look like this, especially with reference to the cat pointer

[Terrain]

TerrainFullName=Hawaii

DataFile=Hawaii_data.INI

TargetFile=Hawaii_targets.INI

TargetTypeFile=Hawaii_types.INI

MovementFile=Hawaii_movement.INI

NationsFile=Hawaii_nations.INI

BriefingText=Hawaii_briefing.INI

DogfightFile=Hawaii_dogfight.INI

DogfightOnly=FALSE

//CatFile=..\Desert\Desert.cat

//CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat

CatFile=..\VietnamSEA\VietnamSEA.cat

Longitude=158

Latitude=21

WaterMap=Hawaii_Water.bmp

NavalMap=TRUE

LimitedNations=TRUE

it's designed to use the VNSEA stuff.

In truth, there's a LOT to be desired with the NA coding.  It has a very unfinished feel to it.
