Your soundlist.ini HAS to be updated for it to work properly.

I've only tried it in SF2 and SF2E...any idea what needs to be changed in the soundlist.ini?

Pretty sure it has to do with the FrequencyControlled=True/False line, can anyone c/d?

You will have to enter the following sequentially:

SoundFile***=BtyOverG

SoundFile***=BtyPullUp

SoundFile***=BtyYawRate

SoundFile***=BtyLowAlt

[btyOverG]

Priority=NORMAL

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=2

[btyPullUp]

Priority=NORMAL

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=2

[btyYawRate]

Priority=NORMAL

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=2

[btyLowAlt]

Priority=NORMAL

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=2

Does that work for the engine sounds, too?
I seem to have the same trouble with the radials on some a/c.

It should-if you look at some of the campaign packages uploaded here by Spectre8750 and eburger68 you will note that they have incorporated comprehensive soundlist.ini's

My understanding of the game logic is that when you introduce a sound file that is different from the stock sound files and its corresponding call outs in the .ini files it will not work as intended unless the .ini is appropriately edited.(in this case the soundlist.ini)

Thanks all, I added the wav to the soundlist.ini file like Stick said and that did the trick. Looking into that FrequencyControlled parm to see what that does...

Hi,

My sound issue still persists. All piston engines still sound like 2.5cc model airplane ones,
and with every piston engined plane I tested... Aaaarrgghhh!

Muesli, in sf2na only right???

cause all mine to the same thing, EVEN if they are entered into the soundlist ini.  gotta be an na.exe fault somewhere.

and the really weird thing is, all 3 of my ww2 installs, and my KAW, are built from the NA exe, and all the sounds are perfectly fine.

I just don't understand what's going on with that!
