Hi there guys! As a follow up to my old SF2 post.

In South Korea, the South Korean Designed FA-50PH(built specifically for the Philippines)made its maiden flight last June 19!

Finally, after over a decade of having no fighters, we are finally going to get ourselves some air defense!

Even if the FA-50 wont arrive to the country until December, I'm already so hyped about it.

Oh...so in compensation for this historical event, I'm gonna fill this topic with the history of Philippine Interceptors.

So...sorry for the long reply, the first Fighter by the Philippine Air Force is the P-26 Boeing  "Peashooter", a good monoplane fighter when it first flew in 1932...but by December 1941, the P-26 was clearly outdated. However, even so, fighters from the 6th Pursuit Squadron of the Philippine Army Air Corps managed to take off even under enemy fire from zero's.

Lead by Captain Jesus A. Villamor, their Squadron managed to shoot down 4 japanese aircraaft. 1 G3M "Nell" and 4 zeros. 2 were shot down by Villamor himself.

Not really that interesting for some people out there but...hey...a peashooter vs a zero ain't a fair fight.standard.jpg

I wonder if someone is working on a FA-50PH add-on aircraft for Strike Fighters

      PAF C-130B For SF2(ANY/ALL)

PAF C-130B for SF2,tailor made for the Indo/Pak mod.Mod represents the C-130B in Service with the Pakistan Air Force during the time of the 65' and the 71' wars. These aircraft were(are!) assigned to the No.6 Transport Squadron based at Chaklala AB.During the time of the 1965 war, they were modified to drop bombs on enemy targets along with carrying out their normal duties. The modifications included the removal of the cargo ramps for better operations.
A detailed description of their missions may be read here:http://www.defencejournal.com/sept98/nodestination2.htm

Includes one aircraft with two textures.Due to the small amount of information available on the topic,I have decided to not include any Serial Numbers. However, the aircraft do sport their nose Codes. The skins include the early Gray/White scheme aswell as the rare SEA camo(present on aircraft delivered from USAF Stocks).Every attempt has been made to bring the skins as close to the real world aircraft as possible.
The Bomber mechanism was directly imported from Paulopanz's excellent An-12 mod found here:http://combatace.com/files/file/15637-an-12-cub-bonus-an-8-camp/

To drop bombs,Open the cargo ramp using Ctrl + O and then press the fire button.

      DEVELOPER Notes:
1.Since the original C-130 Package encouraged modding,I have gone ahead AND included the LOD files.
2.I could not find a suitable cockpit hence the original "Modern" cockpit is included.

      Installation:

      View File Mirage 5PA3
PAF Mirage 5 PA-3 for SF2(FUll-Merged) OR at least any 1 game Required.

This pack represents the Mirage 5PA3 of the Pakistan Air Force used to reinforce the Navy with an Anti-Naval capability. Now the Question is are there other packs which represent this same aircraft?Yes but those packs require DLC to work.
THis package contains the entire Aircraft with the necessary LODS, pilots and weapons hence, becoming a STANDALONE pack for this aircraft.Made specifically for the Indo-Pak Mod.

The Mirage 5PA3 was acquired by the Pakistani Air Force as a new build aircraft during the Early eighties and has since been subject to many upgrades. The PA3 is fitted with a CSF Agave Radar for compatability with the (in)famous AM39 Exocet Anti-Ship Missile.Based on the Cockpit images,I chose the cockpit of the Mirage factory Kfir and modified the Radar values to match the real world aircraft. The Loadouts and Mission Data has also been adjusted accordingly aswell.100% Historically accurate Decals to represent aircraft assigned to the 8th Squadron "Haiders" based at PAFB Masroor at Karachi.Due to the limitations of the Mirage Factory Mirage 5BA model, the aircraft is not 100% identical to the real world jet as the nose is a little short and due to the absence of the 'radar bump' beneath the nose.

      Technical Issues:
1.Since I did not install NA due to space constraints, the Anti-Ship effectiveness of the AM39 Exocet could not be integrated. You can still fire the missile but it won't track towards anything.

      IMPORTANT:
I HEREBY CLAIM NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THE CHANGES THIS MOD MAY RENDER TO YOUR GAME(Even though it doesn't).IF THIS MOD IS INSTALLED,THEN IT IS DONE ONLY BY THE WILL OF THE USER AND I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS.INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.(The mod is perfectly safe, but I still claim no responsibility just to be safe!)

RELEASED UNDER COMBATACE FREEWARE LICENSE.CANNOT BE USED FOR ANY COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.

You are allowed to use this package for your own mod(s).Please give all credit to all the Original Authors whose work has been used here.

Its been a long while since i last posted here.

      Well i missed this place...

I would like some input from you guys here who are actual pilots in the military that you worked for.

Do you consider the FA-50 Fighting Eagle aircraft by Korean Aerospace Industries a LIGHT MULTIROLE FIGHTER?

Or just a LIGHT COMBAT AIRCRAFT?

I have been In A discussion with someone that claims the KAI FA-50 since it was based off a Trainer (KAI T-50) that has Fighter capability(tip raiks for any AIM-9/PYTHON) and Ground strike capability(PGMs, AGM65 capability), though limited compared to other fighter slightly bigger than it, Can not be termed as a "Fighter"

Would that be even correct guys?

Or should it be considered as a Light Fighter, since it has limited capacity to kill other planes?

      Thanks for all your input...
