The glory days of the biplane fighter were the SCW, so Steve and I are planning a number of late biplanes and early monoplanes. First test shots below of the CR32. More than 200 CR32s were still in service when Italy declared war on Britain in mid-1940. Trotski Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 (edited) The Chirri has to be my favourite Italian bi plane, I like the Falco too, but the Chirri is just a lovely looking aeroplane. Yes, some of the Italian green colors were darker. The Italian camo concept utilized several different shades of green, brown, sand, etc. The intent was the units could choose colors that best matched the season and local terrain. The paint job in 4 Vientos museum is just one of many possible color combinations used in the SCW. Morato's aircraft was repainted several times so it depends on which version you select - I liked the scheme in Osprey's FIAT CR32 Aces.
