One of the Spanish Civil War aircraft in development is an all-new FIAT CR32.  The glory days of the biplane fighter were the SCW, so Steve and I are planning a number of late biplanes and early monoplanes.  First test shots below of the CR32.

Eventually, I'll release a second version for early WW2.  More than 200 CR32s were still in service when Italy declared war on Britain in mid-1940.  Most of them were employed as ground attack aircraft, with two small bomb racks under the fuselage plus an additional radiator when deployed to North Africa.

The Chirri has to be my favourite Italian bi plane, I like the Falco too, but the Chirri is just a lovely looking aeroplane. Looking forward to a new sparveio too, we need an new Br 20 Cigona , as the existing one is a bit clunky.

Got lots of other airplanes to do before we get around  to a new BR20.

Tremendous impression! :good:

But I am afraid that you make accessible this plane to the FE2 owners only, while a scores of people who use FE/FEG (XP OS) will stay empty-handed.

Steven1918 and I are making all new stuff - aircraft, figures, ground objects, etc - for the Spanish Civil War.  Because Steve works in FE1, everything we make will work in FE1 though I would like to make a high performance FE2 equivalent.   Shot below is FE1.

A very good news! It's also in my own interests, by the way.

Thank you and Stephen1918

I've dusted off the old CR32 model and will finish it for the SCW mod that Stephan1918 and I are working on again.

I think skin green splotches should be darker. At least they were darker in te Chirri of 4 vientos museum.

Yes, some of the Italian green colors were darker.  The Italian camo concept utilized several different shades of green, brown, sand, etc.  The intent was the units could choose colors that best matched the season and local terrain.  The paint job in 4 Vientos museum is just one of many possible color combinations used in the SCW.

Morato's aircraft was repainted several times so it depends on which version you select - I liked the scheme in Osprey's FIAT CR32 Aces.  More info:  http://www.stormomagazine.com/Articles/AlfredoLogoluso/FiatCR32Colors/FiatCR32Colors.html
