Updated Korat RTAFB

This is an update of Armourdave's Korat model.

What I've changed/added:

  - redrawn higher res textures for the buildings and runways
  - fixed aircraft parking areas
  - fixed some missing runway lights
  - added ground objects
  - updated the draw distances of some of the ground objects

Please help - can someone clarify how to install this exactly? I've followed the Readme to the letter (I think) but I just have an empty green field where the airbase should be. I've copied the files into my VietnamSEA folder in Terrains as instructed and I've copied and renumbered the entries in the .ini files also (the Korat target area is still 094 as I'm just replacing the old Korat but I'm renumbering the TargetTypes as they appear in the list). Is it something to do with read-only settings on the .ini? I've tried fiddling with this but to no avail. Thanks in advance! :-)

did you ADD the new targets to the END of the VietnamSEA_Types.ini???

You have to extract if first from the VNSEA.cat file, then place it INTO the VietnamSEA terrain folder (you DO have a VNSEA terrain sub-folder in you /Terrains folder, yes?)

This is just a simple copy and paste, it's kinda hard to mess it up

Thanks for replying. I don't know what I was doing wrong. I did exactly what I had done before only this time it worked! Feel a bit of a numpty! Now I'm trying to solve the flickering runways but can see that there are a couple of posts about this already so will take a look.

Just to hold my hand up... I numbered one of the entries at [99] when it should have been [099]. Oops. Mue's shimmering fix also sorted the flickering. Happy days!

Good for you!!

I d/led it last night, but hadn't had a chance to install it. I'd have had to renumber the _types.ini entries, as I was putting it in a stock VNSEA terrrain. I have a whole mods folder for just testing things (mostly the aircraft we build)
