SF2 file update notification

Hey admin/admins;

I would like a clear notification somehow when a file is updated in SF2.  Especially since I had to get lucky to find the Super Hornet package was updated.

We do this already.

1. Follow the content. Use the button shown to get updates on when the content is updated. Of course your notification preferences must be set under your profile to receive those notifications and if notification by email we have your proper email address on file.

2. The download section is sorted by default to most recently updated content on top. Scrolling to the SF2 download section would show you all the updates and uploads in recent times.

3. The activity button on the top menu. There you sort content on the site for most recently updated and you can also use that section for many other useful ways to parse the site.

4. We send you a notification of a file that you may be interested in just because you reviewed it or downloaded it sometime ago.

All of the above are true statements except number 4. We don't send junk email or spam to anyone for any reason.

@Erik Would it be possible to differentiate a simple page description update from a real update of the downloadable package? Right now, if I simply update the page description, even the changelog's date (the "What's New in Version X" bit) would change, even if the downloadable package has not been touched at all. Not a real issue, I'm fine as it is. In case of real updates, I always advise users in the mod's relative support page.

It should already do this, if you change only the file. However the notification is the same for any change to the upload page; file, description, or photos. I'll look into distinguishing the notifications.
