Ehi guys,

I think said this before but...

I've YAP F-100F ;I know that is a SF1 bird but work pretty well in SF2 but I've two minor issue: the tanks are without skin ( I've already added the tank skins as per normal in the skin folders) and the Loadout.ini pratically is like if can't be read,I need to load the plane/s at every single mission and consequently lack for the AI in Campaign

Any idea/help?

look at the tanks in the LOD viewer, it'll list the skin maps. Since not a lot of us have it ... hard to begin guessing. But I'll bet there's a mis-match between the data ini and loadout ini as to station numbering, or missing weapons (which makes NO sense). Or a mission type being flown on a terrain that doesn't have it set?? (guessing!)

the tanks are most likely a weapon, so the skins would go in that folder, not the aircraft's skin folder. That's only for sF2 aircraft.

the tanks are most likely a weapon, so the skins would go in that folder, not the aircraft's skin folder. That's only for sF2 aircraft.

I try to be more precise:

When bought the YAP pack,I've long time that not play at SF1 but the games were installed on my old PC and this way I'll able to install the plane. At this point I've copied and past on SF2 only the planes and relative decals in the appropriate folders.

When I changed to my currently PC.I saved the F-100F and relative decals on an external HD as I've no interess to anything else,even the Wings Over Series,ok?

So,with the new PC I re-installed all the SF2 Games,DLCs,etc and created my modded games/folders and ,obviously, added the F-100F to replace the 100D_68_WW from SF2 Vietnam Exp Gold.

The planes can be used in total tranquillity,the skins and decals are perfect,the only issues are the aforomentioned.

About the Loadout.ini  and the DATA.ini  possible mismatch,I checked and all the stations numbers match each others, but at any mission I haven't the weapons I've added in the Loadout.ini for the various type of missions,but anyway I can add ALL I want from the loadout screen. The tanks are those of the SF2 series and not the SF1 ones,again I can load them but are "bare metal". 'Cause in SF",if I'm right, the tank skin will be in the plane skin folder,I added there the image but nothing.

What make me nervous is the Loadout problem,as the planes in the Campaign fly the Sead or Armed Recon missions at which destined with only the guns...with the result that are pratically ineffective and useless

which tank is called for in the data ini, on the fuel tank stations?

below is from the WoE F-100D (yes, I still keep a couple 1stGens around for "spare parts" -LOL!!)

[RightWingStation2]
SystemType=WEAPON_STATION
StationID=4
StationGroupID=2
StationType=EXTERNAL
AttachmentPosition=3.02,-0.93,-0.83
AttachmentAngles=0.0,-3.0,0.0
LoadLimit=1360.80
AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,FT
AttachmentType=NATO,USAF
ModelNodeName=pylon_right_middle
PylonMass=163.2
PylonDragArea=0.03
FuelTankName=Tank335_F100

[LeftWingStation3]
SystemType=WEAPON_STATION
StationID=5
StationGroupID=3
StationType=EXTERNAL
AttachmentPosition=-1.55,1.80,-1.04
AttachmentAngles=0.0,-3.0,0.0
LoadLimit=680.40
AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,CGR,RP,FT,ARM,TER
AttachmentType=NATO,USAF
ModelNodeName=pylon_left_inner
PylonMass=81.6
PylonDragArea=0.03
FuelTankName=Tank200_F100

the statements in bold, of course!

also, check the attachment types, although they should be "stock" for when the plane was released. The SF2 versions have different names., as they're built into the aircraft lod (but you knew that!!)

yap F-100F uses Tank335-F100C and Tank335_F100C (silver and camo) both should be included in yap set. Each bitmap skin should be in the weapon folder not in aircraft skin folder (tank is not a part of airframe)

look for errors in  aircraft.ini  loadout.ini etc. maybe there is a misspell or something.

The Attachment and AllowedWeapons  look the same for me ( not the tanks),so I don't understand why the game don't load weapons from the Loadout:ini.Here the ini lines

I guess your problem is, that the game doesn't know what to do with loadouts called FACMisty or SEAD1...

Have a look at a loadout.ini from a stock-plane to see, what is possible.

For "automatic" loadout, the name should match the mission your flying (Strike or Recon does work for example). There's also a command to use custom-named loadouts as alternative way. I can post that later, as I'm not at my computer and I cannot remember exactly. 😉
