TROOPER117 146 Posted May 8, 2021 What a difference a little colour makes... It gives a different perspective to these well known pilots. 7
Eagle114th 723 Posted May 9, 2021 (edited) This is simply amazing. Adding the colors to the old photo makes it feel more real and alive. It's like if the picture finally 'breaths. This remind me of the movie project where someone attempt to bring the ancient videos back alive with the colors and smooth 60 FPS. New York in 1911 (Colorized, 4k, and 60 FPS) Street Scenes in San Sebastián, Spain in 1913 (Colorized, 4k, and 60 FPS) Tokyo in 1913 - 1915 (Colorized, 4K, and 60 FPS) Edited May 9, 2021 by Eagle114th

catch 81 Posted May 9, 2021 Lovely stuff Trooper and Eagle. It's amazing how a bit of modern tech colourisation and manipulation of old films/photographs can bring events of the past to life. I recently and accidentally stumbled upon Peter Jackson's doco "They Shall Not Grow Old" on the telly. What a mind blower that was. It's like what unfolded happened yesterday. You see these guys in this horrific war larking about much like we all do here. They are guys just like us but thrust into an extraordinary conflict and making the best of it. Mostly. Fascinating stuff.

TROOPER117 146 Posted May 31, 2021 A few more... The infamous Mata Hari. Another one of the Baron. Kurt Monnington.
catch 81 Posted June 1, 2021 I dunno about that Mata Hari one? It looks like something out of a BBC series. Mind you, I only ever saw her naked so maybe that's it?
