Hey all, just a quick question. Do we have any barrage balloons or similar looking aerostats? Took a look in the downloads and didn't see any. Trying to spice up the Afghanistan terrain (for personal use) and wanted to add something to replicate the observation balloons that were tethered around some of the bases. No idea what they're called, I just remember we had three or four of them around KAF. I should also ask, is it possible to have a fixed object in the air in SF2?

You can see the balloon over the mountain in this picture I took of an Afghan Mi-17 that was doing touch and goes.

Barrage Balloons are included in Battle of Britain terrain and Battle of Britain 2 terrain. But they are not made as single balloons.

And so they looks in game:

AFAIK there's no simple, single balloon object available, apart from the stock ones included with First Eagles. In the FE download section you'll find airships and Zeppelins by Stephen1918, they are much bigger than common balloons. It would be cool to have a simple balloon object for use as a target in training, or as observation balloons. Gepard's 3d model is good for the environment, but you cannot destroy each single balloon in it, as they are all part of the same 3d model.

@Wrench We have a discussion on the matter in the restricted ODS forum, namely about FE2's stock balloon objects. I'd like to hear from you about it, see you there!
