+epower 23 Posted December 17, 2021 DID IV Campaign Guns Mod View File This mod makes the following changes to WOFF BHAHII: Reduces Forward guns range to 200 meters (from 450m) Reduces Rear Guns range to 300 meters (from 450m) Reduces AI shooting range from 450m to 200m Increases time between unjamming attempts Required Workshop Settings: Main Guns = Normal Rear Guns = Less Accurate Player Guns = Normal Files Modified: WOFFScenery\Difficulty\Hard\playerguns (all gun .xdp files therein) WOFFScenery\Difficulty\Hard\rearguns (all gun .xdp files therein) OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\simulation.xml ***N.B. +VonS 1,424 Posted December 29, 2021 A good compromise therefore with the guns mod. may be to increase the various gun range entries by a value of anywhere from 10 to 30 meters or so above current values - which should keep the actual max. shooting ranges (for the AI) fairly close to distances specified/estimated in the initial version of the guns mod. +epower 23 Posted December 30, 2021 Thanks for the input Pol and VonS. The idea is to make it more difficult for the player to snipe from distance. If I reset the shooting range to stock then I fear the AI will exhaust all ammo before getting into gun range (<200m). I'm away this weekend but will definitely revisit this. Happy New Year!
