CaptSopwith 26 Posted November 15 Good evening Gents, Hope you are all enjoying some quality time with OTT! Wanted to toss in something slightly different. I went back and revisited Red Baron 3D this evening - I have several variations installed. Had to share some visuals to see how far we've come. Below is a selection of screenshots from the ancient Beery 2.0 Superpatch, Full Canvas Jacket, and of course, OVS' own Hell's Angels Superpatch. It's still a marvelous game - the old gal is a lovely thing to revisit, some 26 years later! Cheers all! Hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane!
Rick Rawlings 139 Posted November 15 Good times! I remember it well! Well, maybe not too well, did they wheel down the balloons in RB 2 when you attacked? I do remember the scandalous roll out however, before the 3D patch and all that Vodoo! Oh, if only someone could push back that horizon fog!!! It was, however, a massive update over the original, which I played the heck out of on a keyboard!
busdriver 35 Posted November 15 That was a massive amount of fun...that bastige Hermann Göring challenged you to a 1-v-1 duel then showed up with 2 wingmen.

Dutch_P47M 9 Posted November 16 After I did purchase my first PC a cheap Cyrix CPU Win ‘95 PC, I as an WW2 plane fan , went to the local toyshop for purchase a WW2 fly sim game, to fly the Revell and Airfix planes I use to build. But then as an financial poor guy this MS CFS was too expensive. Disappointed about the huge price I did pass the discount basket, were my eye did see the “RB with mission builder” CD on sale. Never could make this MS/dos game to work, but reading all those info that was included on the CD, did get my interest to get RB2 (that also went on sale) and a game magazine containing the upgrade to RB3D. With the help of the RB Dynamix forum members advices I purchased the MS FFB joystick and the Voodoo3 Vcard. A game life that did let me too all WW1 flysims available, some very disappointing and some were good like Flying corp gold, but never reached the level of RB3d modded. It was OFF3 that did finally leave me the RB3d game.
Rick Rawlings 139 Posted November 16 Yeah, I was disappointed that so few went with the full career route of the Red Barons and now WOFF. It really is the spiritual successor...
