  1. You need to dive at the proper angle for the drop cue to show in your HUD.
  2. It's gotta be released for Christmas, so that explains the rush. Kids don't care that IW doesn't care about the consumer. They see the cool videos and say "mommy, I want that one for X-mas". A disclaimer: I know there are a lot of you that game that don't live at home so relax. :) But the fact is that these games are being marketed to teenagers first, young adults second and then the rest of us.
  3. They're releasing the PC version a couple weeks later than the console versions because of piracy. So I did some checking....................Let's just say that should you be inclined it's available. I find it funny that PC gamers get blamed for piracy when it's every bit as rampant for the console crowd. Typically console gamers are younger but they own computers. And have broadband. Fact is you can't stop piracy but you can put a damper on it by requiring a CD key and online registration ala Steam.
  4. 18 players max for online play. And a host of other FAIL http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/11/pc-modern-warfare-2-its-much-worse-than-you-thought.ars
  5. Shaolin is correct. There will be no dedicated server software. Period. CodeMasters said the same thing over on the CM forums, but they were smart and waited till after the game was released. Either way, no more of my money goes to Activision until they represent.
  6. I had a discussion on another board with a guy who defended Hasan's actions cuz people were verbally abusing him over his last name. No excuse, period. I feel horrible for our soldiers who died and were wounded cuz this guy couldn't maintain his professionalism. I hope they hang him, in public for all to see. It may stop the next one who thinks about doing this.
  7. Not buying it, no dedicated server software. Not worth playing a game with someone hosting on their home connection. I tried that with OFP DR and it sucks more than I can put into words.
  8. No they aren't. Although Eagle Dynamics will be releasing an A10C sim.

    America, F*** Yeah!
  10. The Battle Simulator's A10C sim is the one that was made for the military. They're making an A10C HOTAS (military grade) and showcasing it with that sim. They're also going to do a commercial A10C HOTAS for flight sim enthusiasts.
  11. I updated the news story in the first thread. Now there's something to really get excited about. CH isn't down and out and neither are us consumers. Looks like there's going to be plenty of choices vying for our dollar.
  12. Quoting Revvin from the CH Hangar What can I say? Schwing!@!!!!
  13. I have a G940. I went back to my CH Gear.
  14. A weapon isn't unloaded until you can look down the breech. Period.
  15. F1 is cockpit view, F11 is airbase view. Continue to hit F11 and you'll cycle thru all airbases.
  16. I was told it would be pricey. Then again so is the new Saitek X-65. I'll have more info after I get a chance to interview Debby from CH.
  17. NEW MILITARY-GRADE CONTROLLERS SHOWCASED AT I/ITSEC 2009 CH Products presents new Military Desktop Training Solutions VISTA, California (October 28, 2009) – CH Products, LLC (www.chproducts.com) today announces new High Fidelity Controllers for Military Desktop Simulation applications. Products in development for winter 2009 include the A-10C HOTAS and Reaper GCS Console. The A-10C HOTAS offers a one-for one split throttle and stick. The Reaper GCS Console is an all inclusive, affordable desktop training simulator and is designed to meet the training needs of the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. Both high fidelity solutions feature industrial grade components, driverless USB connectivity, and award-winning reliability. CH Products can meet or exceed your expectations in Cost, Schedule and Performance. CH Products is proud to demonstrate, along with The Fighter Collection’s A-10C version of "The Battle Simulator", at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (http://www.iitsec.org/) in Orlando, Florida from Nov 30 – Dec 03, 2009. BOOTH 2819. Edited 11/02/09 Quoting Revvin from the CH-Hangar: I've spoken to Debby today as there has been a large amount of interest in the announcement I posted recently. I can confirm that an A-10C HOTAS is on their roadmap for a consumer release but there is no date set as yet. With a project as big as this - a completely new one-for-one, military-style HOTAS and a ground control station for the Reaper system - the design, the development time and tooling costs are very high and this is why it is not being introduced as a consumer product first. Remember CH Products still does all this in-house in the US and does not outsource to sub-contractors half way around the world. There are no plans as yet for a consumer version of the Reaper system as apart from support by Abacus there is no real demand from software for it. I'll try and bring you more details as and when I can but suffice to say any new HOTAS from CH Products will not only have the same unrivalled build quality and support it will have also have support from the industry leading Control Manager software.
  18. The "1" key should cycle the nav points.
  19. It upset Bard as well.
  20. I think I've been banned at DieSimFanboi half a dozen times. Bard hated if anyone posted contrary to what his beliefs were. He was irrational to say the least. Some of my fave stuff to do was to sign up on other forums as Bord and post my new sig pic: I also used to post pictures of "Bard" on other sites he'd show up on. He showed up at CWOS once and started in on me, not knowing that there are basically no forum rules there. Say what you want, do what you want. The regulars ran him off so fast that he broke an ankle logging off. Anyhow, here's a shot of Bard taken at a formal function As for ZeroCinco and his BS, the little I know about him impresses me not at all. You could tell me anything negative you want about him after I found out he refused to compensate people working on YAP as per their contractual agreement. Karma is a bitch, you screw someone over like that you get it back ten-fold.
  21. In the Docs folder in your LOMAC install there is a keybind list.
  22. Just a quick bump: I finally got an MFP and I use it for tactical shooters exclusively. I have a great keyboard (Deck) and it was expensive ($150) but even it isn't as versatile as the MFP is. I'll never use a standard keyboard again for FPS's.
  23. While I liked the G940 quite a bit it doesn't surpass my CH gear. I'm still using CH as a matter of fact. I think once the drivers for the G940 mature that I'll probably like it a bit more. I won't expect to be able to do scripting like I'm used to with my CH gear. For instance, if my airbrake is deployed and I go full throttle with the CH kit my airbrake closes. My brakes act more like hydraulic brakes do, the farther you push them down the quicker you stop. All of that is done by scripting. Logitech software can't do that.
  24. While they may have sold a ton of copies for Black Shark, the online community shows that it's not as big a success as they hoped. Not many servers and people staying faithful to Lock On. This community remembers and it's in ED's best interests to put out another patch that was promised. Granted, before ED decided to put BS out as a stand alone they said all the problems with LOMAC/FC would be fixed. So now they're on the hook for a fix. If they don't fix it then you're gonna see people downloading the game instead of buying it. The Russian version was cracked within 12 hours. I haven't had any issues with the new Star Force (or the old for that matter) but it has such a negative stigma that the smartest thing to do is to use SecureRom for disc protection and a license key (to be activated with an account) online. It would bring tons more people to the DCS series just with those two changes alone. The other thing is there's a dedicated Lock On fan site and it's got something like 40k members. I see several dozen posts a day in each of the 8 forum sections.
  25. Lets not forget that Alfred Nobel is turning over in his grave. Yasser Arafat also won the Peace Prize................
