  2. Doubtful. Mr. Travolta has done so many nice things just cuz he was able to that I doubt that this is a stunt. He truly loves flying and there's no doubt in his mind he did so for any other reason than because he wanted to get involved. He understands what a second chance is. If you study his movie career you can see that he was all but finished until Tarantino gave him a part in Pulp Fiction.

There's a huge lack of common sense in government today. Anyone who has ever been to the DMV, the court system (even to pay a ticket) or used the free clinic knows how bogged down and fecked up government run anything is. The Fed can't run the Post Office and make a profit. They've stolen all the money put away for Social Security. They want to rape Medicare (and those are the people who need insurance the most). Sorry, I can't trust my government to do any of those things. Heck, they put this country in a recession and gave billions to the entities (banks) that were one of the root problems. Now they want more taxes and another system that will be bogged down even worse. No thanks. If they wanna help the people regarding health care how about regulating insurance and drug companies? Insurance companies are out of hand and they're one of the biggest problems regarding health care costs. Universal health care just isn't very good in any of the countries that have it for "free", so why not forward think and do something with our privatized system that will benefit everyone? I can't help but think that the billions given to AIG and the others couldn't have been better spent given to the states (individually) to create state health care coverage for all. I mean if we're gonna do it let the states run it and even then it's not an optimal solution. I'm conservative on many issues, but I believe a woman should be able to have an abortion. We shouldn't clearcut timber. We should save the whales. We shouldn't pollute our water. I'm also pro-gun. It's all about common sense and at this point in our country's history both parties need to get a grip and get some. The DNC needs to take this loss for what the taxpayers/voters says it's about. No universal health care. And since Massachusetts has state run health care why would they want to pay for the rest of the country's health care? The states should do this, not the Fed. Less Federal government, not more.

I've wondered if Mass. voters were truly stupid or truly brainwashed to have kept voting in the Chappaquiddick scuba diver. I think that maybe even the lefties aren't happy about the financial hurt the bailout has done to the economy and that they're telling Barry that it's just not prudent at this juncture (Bush Sr. reference) to spend that kind of money at this time in our nation's history. Let's hope that common sense will prevail in this next decade and that this country can get back on track. I also predict that in 2012 (should the right field someone more competent than McCain and Palin) that the voters will tell Barack that "4 years is enuf".
  5. Bonjour, my neme iss La Trene.
  6. I was a Biohaz member as well.
  7. Go back to the DCS website, the main page and login. Once logged in go to Files on the left side pane, then Products. Your serial number key will be there underneath the version of the game that you purchased.
  8. As bad as our economy is, and the fact that New Orleans still looks like a war zone we still send comfort and aid to other countries. And we're still the bad guys of the world. I'm at the point that anyone or any country that hates the U.S. can kiss my lily white behind. I'm American, proud of it and have big shoulders so say what you will about me or my bretheren. We can take it, we're used to it. I feel terrible for the people in Haiti for many reasons. Not just the quake but the fact that their government barely qualifies as one and does next to nothing for it's people . I'm glad we're there helping. Even though we're imperialists...............
  9. What would you know about Joe Sixpack? Or integration for that matter? I live in the 5th largest city in the country and I see plenty of people who show up here (legally and illegally) who have no interest in integration. Take a look at Los Angeles, they have a Chinatown, Koreatown, Vietnamesetown, etc. My brother is married to a Korean girl and her mother has been here for over 30 years and speaks no english. Neither do the majority of her neighbors. They want the benefits of living in a free society but don't want to become part of it. Same with my city and people from south of the border. I work in construction and there is little to no attempts to integrate or even speak the language. I've met a grand total of 5 people who actually went to an ESL class and have applied for their green card so they can become part of this country. Without exception every one of them told me that they didn't wanna live 5 families to a house. They wanted something better than where they came from. And they were proud to one day become American. The company I used to work for had 250 employees. 3 of us were American. I've met quite a few of these people who don't care about integration. Look, I'm proud of my heritage. I'm Czech both sides of my family. I don't expect the ballot that I vote on to be in Czech. Nor do I expect to be able to press 2 for Czech on my phone. I know that INS is messed up and it's a PITA to get a green card, but ultimately don't we want those that will go the extra mile to become a citizen to be a fellow citizen? Or would you rather have a neighbor who despises you because you're American? On 9/11 two of the illegals who were working on my crew were laughing about the towers going down. I speak spanish enuf to get by and you can't imagine how pissed off I was that these people disrespect me and my countrymen like that. The country and the society that allowed them to make a living wage. And to send money home so their familes could surivive. I may sound cold hearted but we don't need people who hate this country in this country. As for the "War on Terror": You make some point Julhelm but it's clear that you're doing a good job at taking digs at my country without it appearing overt. I don't know the answers but I know about common sense. And I know that our government officials are hampering the military at every turn in doing their job. The only way to handle a situation with people who act like Taliban does is to get down and dirty with them. With all these BS rules it's insulting to our servicemen/women who put themselves in harms way over there. I remember when there was a higher up terrorist funeral in Iraq, and all his terrorist buddies showed up to mourn him at the graveyard and we weren't allowed to JDAM the procession. Or they shoot at our guys and run into a Mosque. As a non-Muslim how do you expect me to respect a Muslim's holy place when he doesn't respect it? This country has haters and apologists of all kinds and it filters down into our military and our people are dying because they are doing everything possible to make the rules of engagement difficult so that our soldiers can't do their jobs. Regardless of how you personally feel about our involvement in Afghanistan, we have a right to be there because we were attacked by the reigning government there. Unfortunately there is no negotiation with the Taliban. There is no discussion, all they know is evil and killing. So be it. When I have a bunch of ants trying to get into my house I don't try to shoo them out of the way. They only know one or two things and the only way to handle them is to kill them. IMHO the Taliban aren't any different.
  10. Yes, it is.
  11. The TrackIR 5 is supposed to have a wider FOV and a higher refresh rate.
  12. To run as administrator right click on the program's icon, choose properties. Under the Shortcut tab choose the Advanced button. Check the box for Run as Administrator. Don't close the window. Choose Compatibility tab. At the bottom under Privilege Level choose the box for Run as Administrator. You can choose to turn off UAC which causes many of these problems but it's supposed to make your computer less secure. I recommend you read up on Admin Priveliges for Windows 7, do a Google search. There are lots of answers out there. Win 7 is a bit confusing but once you get used to it you'll like it. I like it as much as I liked XP. As for Hamachi I don't use it so the only thing I can say is run Hamachi with Administrator priveliges. You may have to tell Windows Firewall to allow Hamachi out and you may even have to choose the correct port numbers to open. Again, Google will help you with answers to do this.
  13. I loved Yeager's Air Combat. Same with the early Jetfighter series. Had Janes F-117 too. And Strike Commander. But what really got to me was Ghost Recon. My FPS squad has over 2000 matches on one ladder alone. We used to play every night and sometimes we'd have 18 of our own in our 35 man server. Never played with less than 10 of my guys online.
  14. You need to be logged into the Admin account and give admin permissions to HL.
  15. It has to be something with your user permissions, mine saved right off the bat. Go into properties and uncheck the read only box.
  16. What won't save?
  17. When you install, make sure you right click on the .exe and choose "Run as Administrator". Some also say to install in your main (C:) drive, not Program Files. Additionally, when you get it installed open the Hyperlobby Pro3/Skins/Default folder and open SKIN.INI with notepad. Choose CTRL H which will bring up the find and replace prompt. In the "Find What" box type in ... (that's 3 periods), then in the "Replace" box type in .. (that's 2 periods). Choose OK. For some reason the INI file gets corrupted with the 3 periods and the GUI on Hyperlobby doesn't show any of the buttons or the ping graphics. This fixes it.
  18. So DBAN doesn't work? Cuz I accidently got some bondage midget pr0n in a download and I feel very ashamed.
  19. Install LOMAC, reboot and run the game once. Install FC, reboot and run the game once. Install patch 1.12 a or b (B is for Vista or Win7 OS). As for the mods, there's a ton of them. I have some uploaded here and there's a bunch at Lockonfiles.com Here's a link to a thread that will give you some cursory info on everything LOFC. If you have any other questions I'm here to help.

  21. I suspected drugs as soon as I heard the announcement. Seems that now the coroner is looking at that and checking for heroin and cocaine cuz she had problems abusing those in the past. http://entertainment.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/12/22/accidental-overdose-eyed-in-brittany-murphys-death-following-discovery-of-pills-source-says/

  23. A statement or two or a story: First, you should never hit a woman. Unless she does that to your car, then even a female judge would understand. I have a 454 c.i. SS El Camino. When I lived in Las Vegas my crazy stripper g/f got pissed at me and walked out of the club to my car (it was close to the front door) and started keying it. It took 4 bouncers to hold on to me and I prolly only weighed about 160 lbs. at that time. She went up one side and down the other on my car. Anyhow, it's a good thing that the bouncers stopped me cuz I'd be doing 25 to life had they not..............
  24. Tiger's old lady is hawt! But there's one thing that everyone here should remember, and if it's the first time you're hearing it remember that Uncle Ruggy said it: No matter how hot the woman somewhere there is some guy that is sick of her BS.
  25. In 2004 I finished a tract of high end homes for the builder, Pulte. They were HOA homes and the same HOA that governed the 1700 sq. ft. homes down the hill also governed the 4600 sq. ft. homes that I was responsible for. The fearless leader of the HOA governed with an iron fist and the rules were a joke, his wife was right beside him along for the ride. You couldn't put more than a 4 foot tall fountain in your front yard. Thing is, that was the rule for the small homes with 8 foot ceilings down the hill. You can imagine how stupid it looked on the 12 foot ceiling homes that I speak of. Some of the pony walls adjacent to the walkways running to the front door were 4 foot tall. But little Hitler could care less. As long as he was doing things by the book and screwing people over he could have cared less about what was right. I used to wave to him every day when he'd drive by. I was giving the universal hand sign for "you're number one!". The guy went on for a couple more years then died suddenly. There was a party, I don't know which homeowner started the idea but everyone in the neighborhood celebrated this man's death. I knew every homeowner, being the guy did the final walkthru and turning the house over so I can honestly say that there were only a couple of homeowners out of the 50+ that I knew that I didn't like. But everyone was glad he was gone. That says something about what kind of asshat in an HOA can make your life miserable. Their new HOA president is awesome, having lived under the thumb of the previous administration and having been punished by a small and inconsequential individual. Now rules are made that benefits the homeowners, no more petty BS. I've worked all across the valley (Phoenix) and I haven't seen one housing tract built in the past 10 years that isn't HOA controlled. HOA's can be good and for the most part have decent board members. But once in a while you get some idiots like the ones who won't allow the flag pole. What many people don't get is that the rules laid out in the covenants for the HOA are meant to be amended and changed. The city of Phoenix is responsible for the HOA's in our town. They have a whole set of rules that are detrimental to the builder so the builder lays out the HOA rules for stuff such as rainwater retention, noise abatement, dust control, etc. So the builder puts all of these lame rules into the HOA covenants so that he doesn't have to foot the bill for the aforementioned items. But they're almost never changed once the builder relinquishes control over the HOA. This usually happens as soon as the housing tract is complete. I know that in Las Vegas (where I've worked extensively) also has the same kind of situation regarding builders, the city and HOA's. I'd be willing to bet that it's very similar across the country. I'd like to point out that the HOA board can give a variance that is opposite of one of the "rules" if they so choose to. The HOA who won't allow the flag pole are dicks, plain and simple. It's in their power to give a true hero a break. Hell, it's in their power to give anyone a break. And I don't give a damn what anyone says, a proper flag pole is not a nuisance or detrimental to the asthetics of the neighborhood. God bless that soldier for what he's done, IMHO as long as he isn't physically hurting anyone else he should be allowed to do whatever he wants to do. He's earned it. That and our undying gratitude.
