  1. Eric, Looking nice my friend! WDH, Looks like you're learning. Obviously, don't use Pappy's Taiwan skin for anything you release other than as a template to build your own skins. But it's a great skin to start a template with because it looks really good and it's got nice panel lines you can use to build your own panel lines. Pappy...hey man, you around? PM me bud! FC
  2. Gentlemen (and Dave ) I present the Raven. Big thanks to JAT for the skin...sexy ain't it! FC
  3. Thailand has a lot bigger problems (like the fact that their 2 major airports are completely shutdown due to an unhappy populace) to be worrying about an old commandeered fishing trawler. FC
  4. Eric, Lets leave the roundrels off then. I'd prefer decals...I'll make them myself if necessary. FC
  5. Well, if Storm wants to take the lead on this, we could go from there. FC
  6. Yea, I noticed it too. I'm not sure what's the issue. The jet's look like they're 'plowing' in the turns. Idle thrust a bit much maybe? Or rolling resistance a bit too low? FC
  7. Honestly, they pretty much need the whole package (skinning and decaling). Unless there are decals already in the stock installs that would work. FC
  8. Not easy, but if you have a hex editor, that's one way to find out. FC
  9. STORM, I've got the aircraft...if you've got the syllabus. I've got a few ideas for low level and IFF training. Perhaps if sparko would like to chime in... FC
  10. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?s=&am...st&p=132878 Not like this hasn't been tried before. FC
  11. I was wondering about that. I've also seen pics for Iran's current F-5Fs, so the pattern should just fit right over. FC
  12. Also, with the Oct08 patches, dedicated static aircraft have almost (note I say almost) become unnecessary, as the game engine will populate ramps with aircraft that are in your aircraft folder and representative of the time period (and in campaigns, the aircraft that are assigned to that airfield). The hardest part is working out where to park them if the airfield is a non-standard layout (Gepards nice custom airfields as an example). FC
  13. Well, to be fair, the T-38 (basically a 'hard wing' F-5B) has the highest takeoff and landing speeds of any aircraft in the USAF inventory, now that the F-117 has been retired. Jug could give you some better answers on the performance of the F-5E/F series...but it wouldn't surprise me if the F-5E/F has a longer takeoff roll and faster T/O speed than a SupaHornet. The Hornet has those huge wings and very large LERXs that help in the low speed regime, along with being optimized for carrier ops. But I'm really not definitive on my answers here. FC
  14. Another quality Bobrock creation! Nice...we look forward to her. FC
  15. Russ, PM me with your most recent data.ini for it with all your Min and MaxExtentPosition and CollisionPoints already placed. I may have an idea to get you a representative flying FM. FC
  16. Ini files are considered okay to mod and release because there isn't anything really proprietary in them. FC
  17. Jug, Check your AircraftObject.ini file (if you are using a non-stock one) in the Objects folder. People have been reporting control weirdness if you're using a modded one that was done before the most recent patch. FC
  18. I think the numbers are defined thusly: [NoseGear] SystemType=LANDING_GEAR Retractable=TRUE DeployTime=5.85 AnimationID=1 DragArea=0.25 HideGearNode=TRUE ModelNodeName=front_struct ShockAnimationID=2 ShockStroke=0.10 <--- How 'long' the gear travel is in meters (.1 meter from highest to lowest) SpringFactor=1.7 <--- How strong your spring is...the higher the number, the higher the aircraft will sit and the 'stiffer' the gear. DampingFactor=1.0 <--- How 'bouncy' the gear is...the higher the number, the less the gear bounces after a 'bump' Again, this is what I think...I'm not completely sure. FC
