About Me
Mike Norris was born 1949 in Carshalton, on the outskirts of London. He started his working life as an apprentice engineer Toolmaker. After qualification he worked for a year before he took the plunge and joined the Royal Air Force. After 27 years service as a Propulsion Technician, many of which were with the Tornado aircraft, he 'retired' from the 'mob' as a Chief Technician, and then worked as a Technical Writer for military aircraft. Mike retired in 2016 and lives in Coningsby, Lincolnshire, UK and is married to Sharon. He also has two daughters Shelley and Amanda and four grandchildren.
Mike's hobby is building WW1 1:32nd scale model aircraft and flight sims. He worked for ten years as a member of the OBD team (Wings over Flanders Fields) WW1 flight sim and also hosts work on his web sites for for the flight sim European Air War on his web site ‘Tally-Ho’ as well as hosting for OBD flight sims.
He was a moderator for the EAW forum at SIMHQ for several years as well once being a moderator for the Over Flanders Fields forum, here at CombatAce.
