  1. Thanks for the tip. I shut down some things that resembled the programs above and it installed fine. Interesting though. Storm
  2. What is nice about it, is the openness of the sim. Most of the tools are out there for the user to modify and add what they want. In fact there is a terrain editor and with a little time and patience, YOU may be able to create a more rugged terrain to your liking and release it. Storm
  3. Hmm, I dont have that program at all, so I'm still at square one. Glad yours works though. Storm
  4. I have the same problem on my laptop. Posted the problem here, but no replies. Let's see if someone can pinpoint this. Storm UPDATE I just D/L'd it from Checksix and had the same result. I'm wondering if I'm missing an XP update or something as this hasnt happened before on any of my other computers.
  5. The examples above are not mine. I wanted to show you something that may be of use to skinners. Anyone interested in doing some? Sorry for the confusion. Storm
  6. Being a fan of the Century series, I was curious if any of you talented skinners have done anything for the 'Six? I know that it wore the ADC gray, but what if it went into service elsewhere (Vietnam, Nato/WarPak conflict) and used a different camo (Hill Gray, Euro I, etc...). Here are some ideas: Storm
  7. Here are the HUD pics. Not the best, but you can see the Fishbed in the mid-lower left side with the pipper over it. Storm
  8. A buddy of mine did an exchange tour with JbG-33, flying the Tornado IDS. He's normally a Strike Eagle driver by trade. Anyhow, while down on det he got a guns kill on a MiG-21. To the average guy, this doesnt sound like much, but knowing the Tornado and how labor intesive it is to fly and fight (the wings are manually swept at speeds), this was a big deal. Apparently a first in the GAF Tornado community. He sent me a copy of the HUD photo. Let me see if I can find it. Storm
  9. While on leave at my in-laws, I installed WoV on my laptop. Well, I went to install the SFP1 extractor, but it locks up in the final portion where it's supposed to be registering the font?!?! What is this? Anyhow, when I try to use it, it errors and says that it cant open the ObjectData catalog file to extract the ini files. Any ideas? Storm
  10. Sweet pic! Thats a VF-154 Black Knights Tomcat in the foreground. Anyway you could send me a high-res scan? I'd like to try and clean it up a bit. I'm sure some of my fellow boom operators over in the Gucci jet would appreciate it. Please PM me. Jeff
  11. Thanks Aggie. Must have missed it. Storm
  12. The Gripen has been cleared to carry the L/M Sidewinder, plus IRIS-T, A-DARTER, ASRAAM, and Python 4 & 5. I have not seen anything on the AIM-9X yet. Storm
  13. Wrench, the E and F both had the wingfold, but not the mechanical system as on the Naval Phantoms. They had to be manually folded/unfolded by the ground crew. They were used when space was a premium. Storm
  14. Dual runway ops would be great if we could start from the ramp. We could go to one, while the rest of the flight launches from the primary. Good luck with your bases. Storm
  15. Not to highjack a thread, but was there anymore interest in finding how we could fly from the Highway/Autobahn in the Germany map? That Harrier camp sounds cool though. Storm
  16. RC_007, Thanks for the info. Mine was not in there for some reason. After using it in game, I didnt like that the chaff/flares deployed far from the back of the pod, so I tweaked the first set of numbers a bit to match it up with the back of Boz 107s. New photos posted.

Dave, That was 76-1606. One of yours. Thanks Silverbolt! Jeff
  18. After loading the weapon packs, I've noticed that the BOZ 107 pods are listed as jammers and not countermeasures pods as they are in real life. Does anyone have the correct data for them in regards to actual numbers carried and the trajectory, etc...? Storm
  19. That was more of my point. There were so many new things coming out all at once, it was hard to keep up with everything. Thanks to guys like you and so many other modders, this sim has lasted a long time and is getting better with every release. Storm
  20. I uploaded 3 images for your enjoyment. All are around 1280x900-ish. I just ask that you dont remove my sig block at the bottom of each. More to come. Enjoy! Jeff

  24. I agree, there have been many small mods that really tweak the game to be real user friendly, but get passed over because they arent descriptive enough or get lost because there wasnt a centralized download site. Before CA, SimHq was the focal point for mods, but nothing was done as a cohesive working group. Trying to key word search for a certain mod (like the voice/comms mod and radar screen removal mod) is difficult enough, but looking through 5-10 sites for it, drives you nuts. Storm
  25. Sweet!! That means I'll probably get to refuel them again. Storm
