  1. File Name: XvT/BoP Imperial Operation: Pursuit of Traitors File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 31 January 2017 File Category: Star Wars Games XvT/BoP Imperial Operation: Pursuit of Traitors 1/25/2017 This is the 7th set of a total of 20 mission sets/TODs that cover the time from from just before the Battle of Yavin, to just after the Fall of the Empire. Following closely on the heels of NTB6, you will find yourself fully involved in repulsing, pursuing and attempting to end the activities of the Upraisal and Imperial Traitors, and of course those pesky Rebels. Working closely together, the Imperial Navy and the Secret Order will strive tirelessly to chase them to their ultimate end. BE ADVISED: a ship/craft patch =IS= required for this mission set, due to the addition of several of the smaller craft (SCT), some additional cargo ships (CNTRNS) and a new fighter (although only seen in one mission). Balance of Power is also required, as the B-wing finally makes it's appearence. These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder. All missions have been edited for fairness & balance (hopefully!), due the the enhanced AI and weapons effectiveness in XvT/BoP. All have new briefings and descriptions. I've added LOTS of radio messages to act as "in game hints" and to further plot lines. Please pay attention to them, as some may save your life or your mission critical craft. Also, when possible, other craft in the mission can be selected for Player use, or for multi-player. As always, =PLEASE= read the install instructions. Of course, the usual "Notes" and other nonesense. Within the notes is a link to the DSP, for use with the GoG version, also available here at CombatAce. 3. what about just getting the GoG versions of XW or TF??? They run great on modern machines (albeit with the old graphics)
  4. this should be the "stock" one, i think. If not, let me know and I'll search further the one I used for the IME expansion/rebuild is quite different - with the addition of 30-40 new tiles.
  5. Iran/Iraq definately has them (both versions) should be on the Persian Gulf terrain as well maybe even the mid-west USA Israel 2 rebuild, and IsraelME rebuilds (Dimona)
  6. of course you can use (and edit as needed) my readmes!!! Have at it!!! :)

SF2 Korean War Era F-86 Sabre Pak = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *Note: There is a distinct probability that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level, due to the extensive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. End Users ™ that attempt it, do so at their own risk. A Full 5 Merged install is reccomened at the LATEST patch level.* This is the F-86 Sabre Pak for the Korean Air War mod. Probably as eagerly awaited as the terrain itself... Ladies, Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, THIS is the "Star of the Show"!!! In this pak you have 3 Sabre marks, with their various skins/decals sets: F-86A: 334th FIS 335th FIS 336th FIS, 4th FIW This set uses the 'SF2 date switch' to swap from the Black/White Invasion stripes (Early skins) to the Yellow ID band (Late Skins). They switch on March 1, 1951. F-86E: No. 2 Squadron, SAAF 16th FIS 25th FIS 39th FIS, 51st FIW 334th FIS 335th FIS 336th FIS, 4th FIW F-86F: 16th FIS 25th FIS 39th FIS, 51st FIW 334th FIS 335th FIS 336th FIS, 4th FIW ...and a Surprise Bird, with 3 skins of it's own!!!!! All aircraft have brand new skins, built from ravenclaw's beyond superb template. All skins are in jpg format, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all markings are decals, excepting special vert fin/rudder markings (the yellow stripe for the 4th FIW, and checkboard with squadron color for the 51st). New DDS damage textures are included. An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should! (as seen on some other recently released Sabre mods) A new userlist ini is also included. The F-86A gets an SF2-version of my original 'box art' Hangar screen; the E & Fuses a more 'generic' style. No weapons are included; they are in the KAW weapons pak, and excepting for the drop tanks and HVARs, reference stock items (ie: the bombs). Many new sounds are included; be advised the included 50cal sound =WILL= overwrite any others you posess. Several new 'effects' are included as well. For your extra added Flying Pleasure, a KAW =ONLY!!= modded InstantAction.ini resides in the included /Flight folder. REMINDER: use this =ONLY= in a stand alone KAW mods folder. It's based off the Korea V.3 map, and you'll need the MiG-15bis_NK, La-11 Fang, F-82G, F9F-2, and of course, these Sabres. This is an optional use file; I won't be insulted if you don't use it, or change the aircraft to what you want. Really; I promise! As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There are "Operational Notations" and other impertinant data you should know. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein -for the KAW Team-
  10. ok...looking at the terrain, I can see what's happening here. The original version (SF1) and the SF2 update (2010) makes use of the "expanded borders' trick. Wherein one edits the "world space". Unfortunately, one of the 2013 patches fucked that over completely, and it no longer works. as you can see in the image below, the region INSIDE the black square is the "usable" space within the wall. And now several target areas fall OUTSIDE it. So... the best fix is go through the targets ini and locate the following areas and change them from ENEMY to NEUTRAL Soema Kiratu Bengoi and possibly Namlea Namlea Airport. this should end that issue.
  11. the terrain: http://combatace.com/files/file/6089-modern-darwintimor/ update pak: http://combatace.com/files/file/11564-sf2-update-modern-darwin-terrain/
  12. You're welcome but that's not the most recent version....or any version I recognize. Target area 005 is [TargetArea005] Name=Maumere Position=279124,582385 Radius=3000 ActiveYear=0 Location=2 Alignment=ENEMY I'd suggest backing up that whole terrain (just stick the Darwin folder someplace NOT in the /Terrains folder) hitting the download section and get the most recent, with any updates that go with it.
  13. A-6A_DATA ini, the one with all the flight parameter statements. just rename that one to check. A new one can always be extracted from (whichever!) cat file it's residing in. If needed don't do anything to the main ini !!!!! (A-6E.ini) Otherwise, you won't be able to fly it anymore!!! The Toro, I don't remember what the fix was...hopefully some one else will pop in and answer that one!
  14. out of date data ini, with wrong or mismatched hardpoint statments. Fuel tanks are part of the physical model on most aircraft in SF2 series. This issue should be covered somewhere in the Knowledge Base (i thinks!) rename the data ini to X-****whatever, and the problem should go away.
  15. yeah...that's not on my map. I also just checked, and there's no such target area. I'd double check exactly WHICH map you're fiying on, and if it IS a Darwin, I'd check the dates of all the inis Mine show the most "recent" as April, 2012 you sure you're not on the DAT's Timor map??
  16. XvT-BoP Draconis Ship Patch

I wasn't sure, so just included EVERYTHING. When I did the copy/paste install for my GoG version, everything worked fine (or I just got lucky!!) REMEMBER FOLKS: most of us uploaders don't read these sections. So, please, if there's any issues, problems, comments, or information post it it the regular threads or the Release Announcment thread thank you! :)

XvT-BoP Draconis Ship Patch 1/2/2017 This ship patch was originally for old versions Win95/98 versions, the instructions herein are moddified for use with newer GoG version of XvT-Bop. It is VITALLY important that this document be read all the way through before attempting installation of ANY of the files included herein. The files provided are "as is", as they originate circa 1997. You will be copying and pasting the various files and folders, as the original install bat file no longer works in Win7 and higher operating systems (well, at least for me). For those that remember the "old days", this ship patch will add various and sundry ships to BOTH XvT and BoP, fighter types, crago craft and starships for use by both sides of the Galactic Cival War. See the enclosed original SPReadMe.txt for a more detailed listing. Most, if not all, of the upcoming mission set conversions by me will =require= several of the ships in this craft patch set. To make things even safer, it is required that you ==BACKUP== your entire original XvT game folder, with everything inside, to a safe location BEFORE INSTALLING ANY OF THESE FILES. Seriously, I really mean it! Do the safe thing!! I've written, what I hope to be, fairly simple but detailed install instructions. Included are several images (jpgs) to help illustrate the install proceedures. Any questions, comments, or issues, please post in them here at CombatAce, in this release announcement thread. We'll try to get any problems ironed out. But it's a fairly straight forward install proceedure. So, PLEASE read it all the way through before attempting the install!! Happy Flying!! Wrench Kevin J. Stein DSP by Draconis, circa 1997
  18. well, if we need any Titan missiles airlifted, this would be the bird to do it!!
  19. that's almost correct, but incomplete. Thusly: [TargetType193] Name=SA-3DL FullName=SA-3 Goa Dual SAM TargetType=SAM_LAUNCHER UseGroundObject=TRUE GroundObjectType=SA-3_DL ActiveYear=1962 TargetValue=100 RepairRate=0.555 StartDetectChance=20 StartIdentifiedChance=0 IncreaseDetectChanceKey=0 MaxVisibleDist=8000.0 DestroyedEffect=SmallRocketGroundExplosion SecondaryEffect=VehicleFireEffect SecondaryChance=100 the main problem with "direct call" AD units, is their associated radars (both search and track/targeing) will NOT show up on any RWR display (3-ring, vector, or TEWS). This is a major glitch in the game engine, and hasn't been (and never will be addressed).
  20. the air defenses HAVE to be built into the terrain. They just don't show up by magic. in the types ini, they (any and all SAM launcher units) should read "STATIC_SAM" (SA-2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12) Eve the SA6 can be set as STATIC. SA-9 can be mobile, as it's on a BRDM chasis. your MANPADS (SA7 and etc) can be set as "MOBILE_AAA" in their data inis. They'll show up randmly replace gun-type AAA units. basically, means that whoever set up the terrain (and the desert is infamous for this) left them out

In this mission set, in the aftermath of suppressing the Scavanger pirate group, you will be tasked with running down any of their remaining forces, and joining with the Secret Order and other Imperial Naval units to eliminate the Rebels. This set will have you tasked with craft inspection, blockade, and various other actions against enemies of the Empire; external and internal. These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder. All missions have been edited for fairness & balance (hopefully!), due the the enhanced AI and weapons effectiveness in XvT/BoP. All have new briefings and descriptions.
