  1. iirc, the planets are there too. watch for the Pleiades cluster, too back around 2003 or 4, there was a thread "stargazing in SF", no matter where you fly, the star patterns are (mostly) correct, even below the equator

FM remains the same; I've just performed some very basic and small tweeks. A new skin is included for VF-191 "Satan's Kittens" (that I'd forgotten to finish from 3 years ago!!) All markings are decals, and the skin is in jpg format. The aircraft is finished in standard USN Gull Grey/White. I've supplied 18 modex number decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. The skin is basicly "blank", making it fairly easy to create other units, via decals. As always the standard, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them!   3. the whole 'stick' would be positioned in the same place (as in above) guestimate position of the paras, with door removed (the x/y/z statement in the image)
  4. it's not animated. you can only "remove" it (see my AC-47 gunship mod) 2nd question, no. as they're treated as "bombs"
  5. damaged model should be left blank, as there's no "dmaged sign' lod. For the destroyed model, sometimes a crater1 or nothng, just have the fire buring. I don't thing I've ever used them in a region so close to the water, which might be why I've never experienced the 'sinking' issue. Mostly in cities and air bases, that were (are) pretty flat. It may just BE the sign lod, but ????. I'm leaning more towards something on the island's height field, but who knows!???!!! place one someplace inland, and see what it does, would be the experiment I'd try next

  9. have you "folderized" the individual weapons, and create new, individual ***_data.ini, "main".ini, and so forth? In this respect, it's exactly the same as SF2 the individual weapon folder should look like this:

    SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack 2/11/16 -- For SF-2E, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended -- This mod is a full aircraft package, containing the F-86A Sabre as used by the USAFE during the early-to mid 1950s. This pack contains only those aircraft as used in Europe. Like the KAW Sabre pak (albeit this containing only 1 airplane), all needed bits (Effects, Sounds, Pilot, etc) are included. Again, as a reminder, this is a European-centric aircraft package only (SF2:E)!! In this package are F-86A Sabres from the 81st FIW, USAFE, as based in the UK ... 116th FIS 91st FIS 92nd FIS Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the tail fin color bands. A "fake SqTail" decal is included and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen for those units listed in the game's SquadronList.ini (91st & 92nd). The 116th is not, but if you wish to add it, feel free to do so. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format. 24 Serials and Buzz Numbers are included for all 3 skins, and are accuate for A Model Sabres, but just not for the squadrons represented. Consider them 'generic' for this purpose. The Hangar & Loading screen remain their "KAW" versions. The Data and Loadout ini have been tweeked as per the recently released F-86F-40 USAFE pak, and Ground Attack (CAS, Strike) mission tasking has been activated. Operational service dates remain the same, even though the F-86A did not arrive in the UK before 1951. REMINDER -- the mission tasking and loadouts are =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else! See "Notes" for more information, if wishing to use the modified data ini in your KAW mods folder. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information.   17. yes, "noise texture" doesn't work any more in SF2 (look at stock terrain data inis) I also noticed it's listed twice, with differing values
  18. the russian bird in question is a Yak-3RD. It's in the downloads section as to the "AST-1", that is pretty much the Vought XF5U, Unfortunately it was never (really) finished, and the author has not been around to do so. Some of us DO have it for our WW2 flying. I think my version is the "most complete" ini wise, but the model needs more work. But without 100% proof of "who done it", can't be released

  20. it won't, as it's not part of the airframe. open cockpit should never be used on the Rhino -- the restriction of vision is a VERY well known fact of life on the F-4s (one of the reasons there's so many and so large rear view mirrors). It should only be used on such things as bombers or transports, and only when the internal structure of the aircraft (meaning those parts of the lod are skinned and painted --and most ain't) would be "visible". Best example would be the cockpit tweeking I did for the B-66 Destroyer; used open cockpit, and a myriad of removals to show the external framing (and even then, it's far from perfect). This is completely unnecessary on the Phantom.

  24. C5's site, for al intents and purposes, is pretty much closed. None of the mods stored there have been updated since 2009. Those that are updated, are here at CA. It's exists mostly for historical purposes gotta love that them words, trotski!!!
