  2. remember!! cleared zones for airfields!!! winter tiles too??? It'll need 'em!! (and I'm VERY interested in those tiles!! looks like I might have to remake the new port tiles...hmmmmm) The terrain is basically done, just need to finish the movements ini, and for Russ to move into his new home and finish the laser for Kazavanya
  3. there's a whole buttload of them by dtmdragon, but I forget what mod pak it's in

  6. what about the colors? They're standard FAA and/or USN (in the Hellcat II's case) have you looked in the WW2 downloads section? I've done shitloads of FAA (Home Fleet, EIF and BPF) skins and decals
  7. F-4EJ

cooll! can't wait to fly this (btw, these will be QUITE nice when I finish the Kamchatka terrain rebuild!!) thanks!!
  8. F-4EJ

will this mod conflict with the 3W DLC in any way??
  9. who cares, as long as the aircraft goes in the right direction??? Remember, the original C-47 in game is AI-only, and NOT meant to be flown. One can always correct that with a simple data ini edit of the rudder statements Try this: ReverseModelOrientation=TRUE
  10. File Name: SF2 WW2 Curtiss SB2C-3 Helldiver Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 16 September 2013 File Category: SBD / TBD / TBF / SB2C SF2 WW2 Curtiss SB2C-3 Helldiver Pak 9/10/2013 -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new variant of Veltro2K's SB2C Helldiver. This package represents SB2C-3 Helldiver US Navy Dive Bombers in the mid/late 1944 configuration. There is actually not much external difference between the 3, 4 and 5 models, but I thought it would be nice to have the mid-mark variant. This mod was started in sping 2103 and got lost in some file shuffeling. So, here it is completed. This is a complete aircraft/skin/decal set, minus the weapons and pilot figures. These are all reused from the various other Helldiver packs I've released. The aircraft are finished in the standard Mid-1944 3-tone scheme. Skin/Decal sets included in this pack are for... VB-7, USS Hancock VB-14, USS Wasp As seen during the time frame of the Battle of the Phillipine Sea, and operations over the Phillipines. The historical WW2 squadron patchs, for each squadron, are used for the paint chip on their respective skins seen on the Loadout Screen. Skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Other than the painted on national markings, all others are decals. This included the Modex and CVW "G" System symbols. New to this mod are DDS format damage textures, replacing the tga type. These can easily be used on any other of the SB2C variants now available, with minimal editing of their main inis. The Standard Animations Keystroke ™ are used for the wingfold, Shift/9. The pilot and gunner's canopies remains linked to gear retraction/extension. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file

  13. even better.... in BoB itself, the famous "repeat, please" scene with the Polish-flown hurricanes, you can CLEARLY see them peeling off to attack "themselves" in the Humphrey Bogart movie "Sahara" 1943 (the one with the Grant tank), they get strafed by a "Luftwaffe" P-51A !!
  14. wouldn't be easier to (re)build it out of Russo' Emil?? After all, isn't that what they were originally (with the externally braced horizontal stabs?)
  15. they're built the same way, you just use the SF2 fx statements in the data ini at finalization unfortunately, there are no tutorials. It's all OJT. (unless someone has archived Major Lee's tutes from the Last Ice Age...)
  16. yah, the 2005 Taiwan map (fng2k's work, I think -- there's no read me) would be a decent "modern" one, too, as one could make use of Clark for large land-based bombers and such like and if I'm reading my charts correctly, that notch in the coastline to the s/w is Hong Kong and Canton, with Hinan island just poking it's nose in (behind The Wall, of course)
  17. pity we don't have the REAL ones, with the Merlins (ie: BoB moive)
  18. how the really fun part begins.... adding the mods back one at a time, to find out WHICH one is messed up. Been there, done that, got the bald spot...
  19. File Name: SF2 WW2 PTO F6F-5 Hellcat Skins Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 15 September 2013 File Category: F4F / F6F / F7F / F8F SF2 WW2 PTO F6F-5 Hellcat Skins Pak 9/10/2013 -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = Some new skins for Geo's F6F Hellcat; in particular for the F6F-5 Mod I did of it. If you don't already have it, You can find the aircraft at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/13316-sf2-ww2-pto-f6f-hellcat-pak/ You'll also need to be sure you have the update pak installed as well (that adds a few interesting goodies), available at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/13541-sf2-ww2-faa-f6f-5-hellcat-skin-and-ini-update-pak/ I've listed these in case there are newcomers, or old timers that haven't "caught up". This is simple and basic CYA. Again, PLEASE NOTE!!! These skins are for Geo's Hellcat =ONLY=, NOT for the DAT ones. Skin/Decal sets included in this pack are for... VF-7 "Lucky 7", USS Hancock VF-11 "Sundowners", USS Hornet VF-14 "Iron Angels", USS Wasp All aircraft carry the correct "G" system markings for the time frame. Decal randomization is set to TRUE for all. All are in the later "Dark Gloss Navy Blue" overall finish. They depict late(ish) war schemes (Dark Gloss Navy Blue), in particularly in last quarter of 1944, and to war's end (ie: Battle of the Phillipine Sea, and Invasion of the Phillipines timeframe.) Each skin uses the historical WW2 squadron patch as the paint chip, seen on the Loadout Screen. A slightly tweeked data ini is also included, as I changed the pilot's position slightly to remove a clipping issue on the canopy rail. Make SURE you have the update pack listed above installed FIRST before appling this new data ini!!! As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file

  21. It sure didn't look like that when I was building and testing it. possibly a truncated download? It appears either the new desert1 or desert2 tiles are missing, as the new desert road tiles are certainly showing up. What I'd do, is move the whole terrain OUT of the /Terrains fodler, redownload BOTH and install as per the instructions. The new tiles are all named exactly as the originals, and everything should drop right in and overwrite. The floating trees fix SHOULD have already been in the data ini, but I don't remember. IIRC, it's something to do with the AlphaObjectTextureMaterial. Try commenting out the terAplhaObject.fx line, and see what happens. just in case, here's the 2 desert tiles
  22. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO B-17G Flying Fortress Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 10 September 2013 File Category: B-17 SF2 WW2 ETO B-17G Flying Fortress Pak 9/1/2013 -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = **Note: Having any SF2 series game is HIGHLY reccomended, as this mod references the stock destroyed An-12. Also, due to modifications to various inis, and LOD exportation coding (Unicode) this mod will -NOT- work in1stGen games installs at ANY patch level.** This is the release of Veltro2K's B-17G Flying Fortress Heavy Bomber. This mod ONLY represents Forts used in the ETO. To eliminate any confusion with any other B-17Gs you may (or may not) have, your in-game displayed name will read "B-17G Flying Fortress (V2K)" There are 2 skins/decal sets in this pak. These represent 2 squadrons fron the 91st Bomb Group (of the 4), based in England... 322nd BS - in standard OD over Grey (folder is called "OD43") 323rd BS - in overall natural metal (folder is called "NM44") The skins make use of the "Start Date" statement, and will change accordingly in June, 44 from OD to NM. Although, historically, OD aircraft were seen up until VE-Day. All skins are in jpg format. All new Squadron Codes, plane-in-group and serial number decals were created. One may consider the serials as 'generic' in nature, but ARE correct for the model depicted, AND are actual serials for 17G's as used by both squadrons. It was impossible, however, to match serials to plane-in-group letters. All markings are decals, making in easier for skinners to recrate other ETO units (and by inference, MTO units). All lighting is historically correct. There are =NO= nose arts. Those with the desire (and talent) are encouraged to do the necessary legwork on research, running down the correct match between nose art, plane-in-group letter and serial number. The Skin templates ARE included. Look for the seperate folder "B17G templates -v2k", inside this zip. It should be noted, do =NOT= use this mod in a PTO-centric mods folder; these aircraft were NEVER used in the Pacific. Those wishing to recreate 15th AF (MTO) units are encouraged to do so. Engine sounds, pilot figures, BRAND new Hangar and Loading screens (in SF2 jpg format) are included. Bombs and guns are not included; you should have them already. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole months'. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for other EXCEEDINGLY!!!! important notations. The last round of patching (May/June/July 2013) seems to have induced some "issues" with Player Flown Heavies ™ Happy Landings!! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file
