  1. open that main main ini, after you add the lines for the cockpit and avionics (if needed!), save and the "save as..." xA-1H_66.ini that way, when it DOES do it's weird little rewrite dance, you can just open itup and do the save as again, withOUT the x as described here: http://combatace.com/topic/55746-patching-made-easy-part-deux/
  2. I have my own ideas, but I'll leave the research to you
  3. short answer is 'if it ain't the downloads section, it don't exist' as to the post above, file sharing, if it's one of the models from the banned pirate modding group, is a VERY good way to get booted from here. Excpetionally frowned upon Take that as some simple, "firendly" advice.
  4. 3) Player flyable from the factory (ie: 3rd Wire) Skyraiders, though stock, are not. Just like the Red Air birds. and even when a cockpit is added to the normally AI-controled birds, random game engine main ini rewrites will again render them non player flyable. Hence, the use and need for a backuped/renamed main ini for my (patent pending) "One Click Restore ini"

File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO P-47C/D (Early) Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 15 January 2013 File Category: P-47 SF2 WW2 ETO P-47C/D (Early) Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *Note: This package "represents" Early model P-47s (call them Late Model C and Early Model D) Razorbacks, as when they first arrived in the England in the early part of 1943.* This is a FULL aircraft pak, with (pretty much) all the trimmings. This pack contains the following skin/decal set: 56th FG circa Mid-to-late 1943. The decals represent various aircraft from all 3 Squadrons of the 56th, and are combined (as per their original release in 2004). There are only 16 'numbered' decals; I didn't make any more than Major Lee had originally. Decal randomization is TRUE, and the NEW skin is in Jpg format. Weapons (ok, drop tanks), pilot figure, and engine sound are included. A New 'box art' style Hangar, now fully SF2 compliant, is included for your viewing pleasure. Any changes that have been introduced, are listed in the 'ChangeLog', in the "Notes" section. This aircraft has a VERY limited operation life span (April to September 1943). Other mods will be relased for the later Razorbacks and Bubble Tops as they are finished. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Wolfs original readmes, when discoverable, are included for historical purposes. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Good Hunting!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file

Skins remain in their 'lorez' 512 size, and are still in bmp format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. All marking on the aircraft, excepting the Sky fuselage band are decals. This will make it exceptionally easy for skinners to create other RAF squadrons of this time period. Included are modified data and loadout inis. See 'changes' in the Notes section for full listing. And, for you viewing pleasure, a brand NEW SF2-style Hangar screen. The assumption (oh! that word!!) is being made that you've already made the aircraft player flyable, so no cockpit bits are included. Neither is my "One Click Restore Main Ini" (patent pending). The canopy has been activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0 No weapons or pilot figures are included; you should have them already. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. These 2 Mk.IX skin sets should give the recently (re)relased FWs something to contend with! Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file

  21. File Name: SF2 Republic F-105G Thunderchief Wild Weasel by ArmorDave File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 06 January 2013 File Category: F-105 SF2 Republic F-105G Thunderchief Wild Weasel by ArmorDave = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) = *Note: the destroyed model referenced herein 'looks' for the stock destroyed F-105D lod. So, at the very least you MUST have either SF2E, or SF2V to gain access to said destroyed model. Hence the Full 4/5 Merged reccomendation* Some major upgrades to ArmorDave F-105G "Wild Weasel" Thunderchief, bring it in line with SF2 at the Full-5 Merged/Latest Patch level (as of July 2012). This mod is desinged to REPLACE any eariler SF2 update/upgrade versions of AD's aircraft that may be availalbe. Skins remain in bmp format (as they're not excpetionally large in size), and Decal Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are the older tga versions. The data ini has all new FM parameters, loadouts have been 'adjusted' for Game usage (and may not reflect Real World situations, but =WILL= reflect Game World situations). New engine sound, and some other small tweeks. A new SF2 version of my 'box art' Hangar screen is included. No weapons are included, other than the drop tanks, as I've referenced all stock 3W items. See the "Notes" section for more info on the changes. When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Drop-Down Menu F-105G Thunderchief WW (AD) This will differentiate this aircraft from any others you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth. And notes about any SF2V campaign that may use this aircraft; some slight editing of the campaign ini WILL be necessary due to the 'name change'. A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein Ver.2 uploaded ... fixed/added missing control surfaces!!! Click here to download this file

  23. SF2 WW2 Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 Pak by MontyCZ an ndiki View File SF2 WW2 Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 Pak by MontyCZ & ndiki -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) = *This mod Will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs.* *The Latest Patch Level for SF2 (July 2012) is required for this mod. I'm not sure when the 'mission specific loadout' switch was added; perhaps slightly eariler than the June 2012 patch. If you are NOT at the latest patch level (July, 2012), you SHOULD be! Things will -not- work properly if you aren't.* This is a compliation of several Bf-109 mods by Nigel 'ndidki' Dickenson to MontyCZs Avia S-99 (aka 109G-10) into a more (somewhat, perhaps) coherent, user friendly single aircraft download. I've combined (iirc) 3 different full aircraft mods into one. Skins in this pak are: JG 11 JG 53 JG 300 This represents Bf-109G-10s from the mid-to late war timeframe. Skins remain in their bmp format, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. All skins and decals were created by ndicki. The canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0. When 'in game', on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown Menu, you'll see... Bf-109G-10 (MCZ) This will differentiate it from other 109Gs you may have. Weapons, sounds, pilot figures and a NEW SF2 style 'box art' hangar screen. The Loadout.ini makes use of the 'mission specific' style of loadouts to automatically load the 30mm cannon pods on INTERCEPT mission -ONLY-!!. CAP and SWEEP use the internal guns. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, the "Notes" section for other important stuff of interest.
