  7. File Name: SF2 WW2 PTO P-38 Lightning Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 07 September 2012 File Category: P-38 SF2 WW2 PTO P-38 Lightning Pak - More P-38 Lightnings in the Pacific - -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.* Mods/reskins/redecaling for Wolf257's WW2 aircaft. This package contains, broken down by aircraft and skins: P-38H 9th FS, 49th FG "Flying Knights" 39th FS, 35th FG "Flying Cobras" P-38J 431st FS, 475th FG "Satan's Angles" 7th FS, 49th FG "Screaming Demons" P-38L 80th FS, 8th FG "Headhunters" 433rd FS, 475th FG "Blue Devils" P-38M* (NightLightning -radar equiped 2-seat nightfighter) 6th NFS (*Note: M's never reached operational, squadron status before war's end. This one is more for fun) All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. All get new SF2 versions of the original 'box art' hangar screens. Damage textures are the old tga versions. All have semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts. All lighting is 100% historically correct. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". All original readmes, when discoverable, are included. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  8. at 50% loss ... no wonder it wasn't tried again (and Mitchels could use torps, too)
  9. hint: look at the Betty's it'll be readily apparent 'how to'
  10. don't forget this line, added to the Textureset.ini: DefaultStartDate= dd/mm/yyyy allows the skin to 'trun on' at a specific time

SF2 WW2 Ki-27 "Nate" -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.* This is a compilation of all my work, and anyone elses I could find, for Wolf's K-27 Nate IJAAF fighter. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised. This pak comprises the complete aircraft, with several skins from differing time frames of WW2. Most are for those units based in China, Indo-China/Malaysia and Burma regions, with one I've been able to ID as being used in Japan in the last days of the war. Skins are by myself and Jeff "pcpilot" Gerald. It has semi-compliant (VERY! semi!) SF2 Flight Models, but they REALLLLLLY do need further fine tuning by experts (meaning: it turns on a dime, and gives back 9.5 cents change). All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization (for those with ID numbers) is set to TRUE. the 77 Sentai skins use decals for the Chutai markings. I've tried, as best as possible, to use the 'StartDefaultDate' on all skins to limit the availability for pre-War markings from those that came into being post-American entry into WW2. 2 of these skins are Sentai that operated in Manchuria against the Soviets in the Late 1930s. A new SF2 version of the old 'box art' Hangar Screen is included. Sounds are included (which you prolly have anyway, along with the bombs and drop tanks.) A new glass tga finally allows the aircraft to have visible windows. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases, are included where discoverable from the archives. This will give the AVG guys something to go up against -- 77 Sentai was one of their main antagonists. Also included is my HomeGrown Template ™. It too, could use some enhancing. Remember folks, the physical model is very old; "it is as it is", and any flaws/faults cannot be fixed without the unavailable MAX files. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein
  12. File Name: New Damage Radio Message Sound - for SF/Wo* & SF2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 04 September 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Objects SF/Wo*/SF2 New "Taking Damage" sound -For SF/Wo* and SF2 Series games. This little mod replaces one of the acursed 'I'm taking damage' wavs with one the most famous sound bites in movie history. Yes, that's right ... the World Famous Wilhelm Scream ™ Like the rest of you, I'm tired of hearing that yahoo always complaining -- at least now he'll say something Historic. Tested in my SF2NA-based WW2 PTO install; you milage may vary Please read the install instructions below. Enjoy! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  13. actually, I was just testing the exhaust effect, which wasn't/isn't working right. It's being "looked at" by an expert. the J8M was a real aircraft; it just didn' enter service (except for a couple dozen glider trainers). As to be expectd, issues with the Walther rocket the PB4Y-1 skin is in the 1stGen downloads, prolly under WW2/Allied Bombers. it's by Pappychksix; however, it needs redoing to add the other ID leters/numbers. Built from Pasko's B-24J
  14. Must be from "The Wingman" universe!! Geary, look up the 1960s VSF- Navy squadrons, in particular those that used Scooters. C, and iirc, B have been able to use 'winders for sometime (both in game and Real Life ™ there's a VSF-1 'Warhawks' A-4C_65 skin in d/l section
  15. i even use that wav as my 'empy recycle bin' sound, too! and I can't stop laughing every time I do it!!!
  16. Geary, I moved this topic, as you'd posted in the 1stGen forums!! hope you don't mind!

wait to till ya hit 50....
  20. which I've already done -- and are in the SF2 WW2 aircraft/skins section. but I LOVE the ANG skins!! good job Champ!! now....if we can somehow bribe Russ into D models.....
  21. thats because, for the most part, they've been improperly positioned from the start. And most require editing of the aircaft data ini to 'hide external nodes'.
  22. the WoE/WoV/WoI terrain editor COMES with the texture lists necessary for it work. Methinks your TE is set up improperly; all 12 of mine work.
