  1. Jat: sundowner located and sent me the templates. Revamped pak out very soon! russ: that Jug is looking better and better!! srceenie: KillerBees over the Cari-bee-an
  2. by chance, do you have the latest issued/build fo the Fletcher destroyer? If so, try removing that first. There's somethinhg wrong with it I can't figure out (totally screwed KAW, until I removed it, and used the original release). don't forget, it 'supposed' to point to the Desert.cat; it should work pointing to the GermanyCE.cat, but I'll have to restest that. (conversly, if you have 1stGen SFP1, you can copy/paste the Desert terrain folder over, extract the data ini and make the necessary adjustments in the shader statements to bring it to SF2 compliance) Modern Darwin also points to the VietnamSEA.cat; but again ...?????
  3. once again, see my post 2 above yours http://combatace.com/topic/71746-su-34-fullback-skin-pack-and-bits-for-sf2/?do=findComment&comment=564192
  4. ok, as it stands right now, I could release an SF2-ized version, but it'll only have the one skin (Royal Army/Marine). One other thing I DO want to do, is figure out decal placements, for the other 30-odd users Should I wait for Ant to find the template, or go ahead?? even got the running lights added and positioned...
  5. another reason why low-level laydowns with nukes from Vigis is a bad idea.... directly under the fireball, that black streak is my wingman. That black flaming streak in the right foreground is what's left of my Vigi...while the city of Ceinfuegos burns.
  6. Screenshot??? it's kinda required!!
  7. File Name: OA-4M Skyhawk, for SF2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 06 August 2012 File Category: A-4 OA-4M Skyhawk by triplethr3at/pappychksix/Fracture = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = ** The Full-4/5 Merged is a requirement, as the A-7D_78 cockpit is referenced for the Mod (SF2:E??). If you don't have these minimum requirements, you shouldn't download this, as you will not be able to use it.** This is an overhaul of triplethr3at's SF2 USMC OA-4M Skyhawk FAC/Attack aircraft. All the inis have been brought up to the latest (as of July, 2012) standard. Some modifications to the avionics are existant more for 'playability' (meaning: it's far more capable then the Real Life ™ aircraft). Loadouts use all common or garden variety stock 3W weapons. It is set to fly all mission profiles as any other standard Scooter (with the exception of carrier basing). Decal randomizations is implemented, and all skin maps are jpg. The avionics hump, while not fitting quite as nice as I would like, and the 'probe/antenna/blister combo kit' are attached via the Fake Pilot Method ™* New damage textures (dds) and a new SF2-style hangar screen are included. Data ini modifications using the 'Remove Component Trick**' eliminate the shadow tractor beams from the outer pylons as seen on other mods using the TA-4J LOD. The Threat Library also makes use of dtmdragons' extensively expanded list (not included). A userlist is included, even though the aircraft has only one User (USMC). SF2NA style Carrier statements are listed in the Data ini, but commented out; as I was unable to determine if these ever were flown from The Boats. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. More interesting and perhaps vital info there, as well. Triplethr3at's original readme is included for histerical purposes. Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein * the FPM is copyright © FastCargo, and used freely ** the RCT is copyright © BPAO and The Mirage Factory, used by permission, also freely Click here to download this file
  8. 80% used to be when ground objects started loading ... which game? -this seems very important of late!! what patch level? what service/nation are you flying for? has anything been done to the 2 terrains _water.bmps (like adding cv stations?) are all the ground objects from the terrains, IN the GO folder?? (in my all-is-everything SF2 install, they work fine. however, in SF2NA, the carrier stations I added to Libya are 'unusual') been having the same issues with CubaOTC -- works fine in NA, but locks at 80% in SF2. This is a bug I've been trying to run down since April!!! oth, llooooooooooooooooooooooooong loading times are the norm for my terrains, simply because I put so much crap on them! But this freezes completly, and you have to control/alt/delete and open the task manager? it's 2am here in california ... i'm going to bed!
  9. nice to meet you! I"m an idiot, and can't seem to keep names straight lately!!
  10. some Gazelle testing ... with 50 cal gun pods & Nords and (post 1984!!!) Giat 20mm gunpods and HOTs never messed that much with helos before ... this is a beaut of a model; cockpit's a GEM!!!
  11. the weapons, SF2-wise were all f***ed up. Took me almost an hour to get them straightened out. this is a VERY nice model, and the pit is outstanding!
  12. looks like only one skin map has any real panel lines on it ... it ain't that hard to redraw them. I'd suggest that someone takes the time and starts learning how. since it's a solid color, the other maps shouldn't be difficult at all. (meaning: too bad Kess isn't around to ask about a template)
  13. i also have to corrcet myself on the Hercs ... we only have the A model Spectre; there is no U availble. Possibly with a LOT of work, one of Dels could be converted...
  14. you just have select the cat, dlc pane on the extractor drop-down window. like paulo said, no LODs, but (nearly) everything else is there
  15. possibly related to 'off map basing' for the soviet bomber forces???
  16. slarti: true. but once those statements are reactivated, and you're flying on a terrain that's NavalMap=TRUE, you're stuck flying from The Boat. This way, I gave everyone the option of having it on or off (carrierbased=true, that is)

  19. F-4E Phantom II, RAAF

    Version

    244 downloads

F-4E Phantom II, RAAF For SF2 (any and all, Merged or not) This mod creates a 'stand alone' aircraft, using all in-house/in-game stock bits, to recreate the 24 Phantoms used (for a short time) by the RAAF. All new, 100% historically accurate serial number decals have been created for all aircraft. Data ini edits change (essentially) nothing, but nationalizing the aircraft to Australia. A new userlist is incuded -- the only real changes are that I 'cheated' and extended the EndServiceYear to 1980. The canopy is active via an animation key; use shift/0 to open and close it. As the standard, garden variety F-4E (no year suffix!) exists in all versions of the game, this mod should pose no issues whatsoever for those that (for whatever reason) have not merged their SF2 installs. These would be, in Real Life ™, the 1969 Model year Phantoms (hence, they're spurious A69 RAAF coding) You can use this pak in one of two ways: 1) Stand alone aircraft (as designed), or 2) additional skin/decal set for the F-4E. If done as an additional skin, a decals ini just for that has been provided. A new userlist has been created, extending the operational years past what is historical. (Australia is actually listed on the F-4E's userlist, but only for a very few years 70-73). They now are operational from 1970-1980. As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me. Good Hunting Down Under! Wrench kevin stein
  20. got the FastFacs updated too, for the SF2V playas
  21. why would skins not be compatable?? I'm just re-useing my fancied=up CorsairII pit, needing the HUD, better radar (way too much better to be exact) the main issue is the hump (and by inference, the refuelliing probe and sensor blisters) ... since they're added via FakePilot, you only get one choice -the grey one with Pete's HMS-12 loviz grey skin. (converted to jpg) to do it correctly (ie: SF2 style) a completlly new aircraft would be needed, with the proper hump and bits built into the LOD.
