  1. definately NEED better Finbacks than what's not available
  2. the USMC carried them from land bases (maybe Navy too), but not off the carriers.
  3. 1) wrong terrain cat reference pointer 2) missing airfield from the terrain cat referenced 3) missing airfield data ini from terrain cat referenced
  4. one could always just download the A & Cs from the 1stGen section, and make the necessary adaptions (however, there ARE extensive shadow artifacts on those lods) CF104s are, iirc, essentially G models build for specifc CF needs, and are physiclaly different from the A/C (different fin/rudder chords, and other stuff i can't remember off the top of my head.) if physical accuracy isn't a 100% concern, wouldn't be difficult to redecal for whatever service usage (would need the bolt-on probe for USAF C, and prolly the CFs as well; ie via FakePilot)
  5. talk about behind the curve... Hawaii and Japan (well, southern half the Home Islands, Korea and Ryukus) have been terrains for about 5 years ... look in the SF1/Terrains downloads section. be interesting, though ... but methinks a LOT more difficult, as this terrain will be LOD driven. Can't wait to study it!
  6. PLEASE!!!! DO NOT POST IN THE KNOWLEDGE BASE!!!! It's for Answers, NOT for question, comments, statements or other posts. Those go here, in the regular forums
  7. DDR Su-9s??? that camo is righteous cool!! great looking model, too Russ!
  8. hasn't the been asked and asnwered about 79,263 times already? some SF2 addon aircraft use Unicode lods, and are 100% UNUSABLE in 1stGens. Even if the inis are converted from unicode to ANSI, it'll still not work
  9. because the Nimitz start of service date is probably wrong for the CVN-68: [MissionData] NationName=USN ServiceStartYear=1975 ServiceEndYear=2050 GroundObjectRole=WARSHIP Availability=VERY_RARE FormationSizeBase=1 FormationSizeVariation=0 for CVN-75: [MissionData] NationName=USN ServiceStartYear=1998 ServiceEndYear=2050 GroundObjectRole=WARSHIP Availability=VERY_RARE FormationSizeBase=1 FormationSizeVariation=0 dates and nations are incorrect in the released versions and needed correcting (notable lack of research, there)
  10. Also: don't install to any of the C:/Program Files folders for Win7 (and probably Vista too), install ONLY to the root of C: ie: C:\Wings Over Europe this eliminates the permissions issues, and has no effect on the game
  11. yes, very worn looking from the start the RDAF decals are all stock!
