  4. Popular AVIATION movies you've watched and liked!

yup, my SF/Wo site. been open since like 2004 or 5. There might still be some AFT/FA and XvT stuff floating around there!
  5. don't know if this should go here, or in the Operation Darius thread.. The Old and the New: new Iraqi AF AT-6B passes over the Ziggurat of Ur

  7. no, those were _water,bmps for the mission editor, that didn't work at all! (hence, they're removal) there's a different one in the CubaOTC terrain, that has some fairly nice 'swells' in it (coutesy of Fubar)
  8. lazy sods!! let the western folks do all the work...how typical...
  9. familarization flight (just took it as is was a nice shot! Finally get to see the reactor effect working!)
  10. something i thought of last night... is/will/should there be an Iraqi air component; even if using 2nd hand aircraft (Amodel vipers, or modded from my IRIAF Netz -skin would be easy), or anything they can get their hands on (left-over Migs?). Or, are they sitting this one out? edit: and what of the other regional AFs?
  11. File Name: Republic F-84C Thunderjet by RussoUK, for SF2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 27 October 2011 File Category: F-84 Republic F-84C Thunderjet, 59th FIS, 33 FIW (by RussoUK) =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc) *Expansion Pak 1 may be necessary for WW2 era weapons, if not using the GunnyPak* Some modifications, tweeks, and general fiddlating on Russo's early Thunderjet. AKA: revamping of my very old F-84B/C mod, refocused on just the C model (Bs did a lot of crashing and self-disassembly, and wound up back at the factory, or on 'fire training') Serial/Buzz number are 100% correct for the 33rd FIW; those marked in the Numbers.lst with a star (*) have 100% positively IDed as being from the 59th FIS. All others are, again, from the 33rd, but was unable to 'attach' them to any specific squadron(s) within The Wing. Decal radomazation is set to "TRUE" Like the recently released F-84E & G, it has a new 'experimental' SF2-level flight model, uses the same Sabre drop tanks, and uses the same manual keyed animation (surprise! Shift/0) to open and close the canopy. It also uses the same sound file, not included. The same 'generic-style' hangar screen from the G is included as well. A userlist is included; as these were ONLY used by the USAF, it may be moot! As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! As always, the usual "Notes" section for other interestering details and stuff. Good Hunting wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  12. google? search "Soviet anti-aircraft guns" while you there, might as well read up on the SAMs too
  13. as per this thread: http://combatace.com/topic/63262-a-reminder-do-not-post-questions-in-this-forum/ this topic has been moved to a more correct Forum --------------------- to answer the original question: you can't. there is NO radar ground lock in any 3W game
  14. if you mean 'service specific loadouts', that's an easy thing....you can even do it by country user (Super Etendard, for example.....) of course, that would mean editing data inis, as well as loadout inin for the Marine Rhinos (and just in case anyone is wondering, after pathcing or DLC additon, any data ini in an aircraft's folder does NOT get removed). Seen it with both player and AIs folders. However, as stated inumerable times, the AI aircraft becomes non-flyable again
  15. so, it IS an NF 14? just so's I can find the right pic also, the earlier shorter nose had the full-framed canopy instead of the blow-bubble of the 14 i take it all already have the Modelers Datafile and warpaint books?
  16. variations in fuse bands on USAF aircraft in the 50s designate Wing commander (usuall 3, sometimes 4) squadron commander (usually 2, sometimes 3), flight commander/lead, (usually 1, rarely 2) somebody wasn't following the discussion of the F-84E/G for it's various users try this site for serials and histories: http://millionmonkeytheater.com/RF-84F.html
  17. because thoe are GENERIC callouts -- IE: AAA, as listed in the _types ini. It's completly random [TargetType059] Name=AAA FullName=AAA TargetType=AAA UseGroundObject=TRUE <--- ActiveYear=0 TargetValue=50 RepairRate=3.22 StartDetectChance=50 StartIdentifiedChance=10 IncreaseDetectChanceKey=10 MaxVisibleDist=8000.0 DestroyedEffect=SmallRocketGroundExplosion SecondaryEffect=VehicleFireEffect SecondaryChance=100 uses ANY and ALL groundobjects tagged as "Static_AAA" or "Moble_AAA" if you want a specific object called, you MUST list it in the _types.ini, and have wichever AAA entry replaced with that object. also, if you'll look carefully at the runway heading, it east/west. ALL location offsets on ALL airbases are based on a N/S orientation Didn't I cover this in a targeting tutorial, most lilkely in the KB??
  18. EAF F-4E Phantom II

    Version

    1,147 downloads

EAF F-4E Phantom II for WoI This is a conversion of the stock WoI F-4E Phantom II into those being used by the Egyptian Air Force. Included is the Hi-Rez EAF skin by Sundowner; his original read me is in the skin folder -- please read it! The package ONLY includes the Sundowner skin, and a few inis needed to run, as everything 'stock' is reused. A new WoI style Hangar screen is included, as is a WoE style for those wishing to install this mod into another version of the series. This mod makes use of all stock items, with the excpetion of some additional 'nationalized' weapons, based on USAF ones, as used by the EAF -- so you WILL be using the Weapons Editor!!! This mod is designed for use in WoI; it's probably usable in any of the other games (SF/WoV/WoE), as it's using all standard in-every-game-items, but this has NOT been tested, but shouldn't create any difficulties to install. It is designed to be used with the Mirage Factory's Weapons Pak. If you are using another (such as the Bunyap Pak), please double check before adding any of the new weapons, as they may already exist. ==YOU MUST HAVE THE WOI WEAPONS EDITOR== PLEASE read the enclosed readme for futher instructions!!! Happy Landings! Wrench kevin stein (yes, I know it's the same screenie I used before -- why waste a good picture?? )
  19. expect an upgrade pak for Globemaster III in a few days as well (partial reskin, all new decals)
  20. C-17s from the 437th AW departs King Fhad, after delivering vital Patriot AD units (reskin, redecal...4 hours work just to take a screenie!)
  21. there's also an update for the 141 ... can't remember if it's in SF2 aircraft or skins (start with A/C...i'm sure that's where I put it)
  22. mine seems to drop calibration all the time (also a 568) mostly since SEpt. Even moved it to a differnt port, still does it. Unplug, plug it back in, recalibrate, and see if the game re-recognizes it?? Reset you controls and see what happens?
