  1. Planning Maps for Black Sea Terrain

A rather generic-style set of planning maps for pfunkmusik's new Black Sea Terrain.

No readme is in the zip, so just unzip somewhere, like a temp folder, and just copy paste the 3 planningmap.bmps into the Black Sea terrain folder. When asked to "Overwrite?", just say yes.

As stated, they're pretty plane jane...and only show the airfields.

With thanks to Keith Bedford for creating this little goodis, so long ago

    Enjoy!

  2. Skin Templates for F-80, T-33 & F-94

Templates for Pasko's F-80 'Shooting Star' and F-94 'Starfire'

These are Photoshop (psd) templates I created off the original skin bmps, with redrawn panel lines, rivets, and various and sundry other goodies. All credit goes to the original skin creator, who's name I cannot find having lost the original readmes that came with the aircraft. They are the same size as the original skin maps.
They should be usable for creating skins for the T-33 as well, with some slight modifications, mostly in the nose gun area (as the T-birds sometimes only carried 2 MGs, if any).

The template is broken down into various labeled layers to help you figure out what goes where. For those attempting skins for the T-bird, I'd reccomend creating a NEW layer for the section that houses the nose guns (body.bmp) by adding that skin map to this psd as a new layer.
You'll note there is NO "LeftWing.psd", as the right and left wings are mapped identically. After creating the left wing's skin map, all you'll need to do is a "save as" in PhotoShop or any other image viewer, LeftWing.bmp. This will create the new skin map, without all the hassle and HD space taking of having 2 different psds. There is NO difference in the mapping! Do not worry!! That's how I created the skins for the various P/F-80s and F-94s Ive released over the last couple of years!

    Happy Skinning!

  3. WW2 Luftwaffe stencling for Bf-109s & Fw-190s

Some stencils for skinning WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft

These are some psds I created for 'doing up' all those bothersome warning tags and labels and general info stuff as seen on the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. They can probalby be used on just about any WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft needing or using them.

The various 'thingys' consist of the fuel triangles, oleo extension marking, tire pressures, lift points and other servicing bits.
They were taken via the 'export picture' function in Adobe PDF from various and sundry Aero Detail books I have on PDF.

They are QUITE large, and will require downsizing to fit on your aircraft skin template. I disremember how far down, but for the most part they DO remain viewable on a 1024x1024 skin. Best way to do this, is copy out the section (they're all invidual layers), drop it onto the skin template, guesstimate the shrinkage, delete THAT item, and then copy/paste into a NEW image, then reduce it in size, and copy/paste the newly resized unit onto the skin template. Lots of unnecessary steps, I'm sure! :)

If you're used to working with multiple layers, it's pretty easy!

    Happy Stencling!

  4. WoI WW2 & Generic Style Screen Set

Screen Set for WoI: Plane Jane Screens for Generic Usage:

This is a rather generic set of screens for WoI. They are designed for use in a WW2 type of install, but can be use for any other Version of Wing Over Isreal. Excpeting maybe the main screen and loadinscreen1. Those are WW2 flavored.

Included in this package are the following screens:

    Debriefscreen.bmp
    Loadingscreen1.bmp
    LoadoutScreen.bmp
    Mainscreen.bmp
    OptionsScreen.bmp
    PlanningMapScreen.bmp
    SingleMissionScreen.bmp

They've had the IDF backgrounds removed, and use various cloudy sky backgrounds, excepting for the Mainscreen and LoadingScreen1. The Loadinscreen1 uses various and sundry WW2 theatre maps and will be seen where aircraft have no specific Loading Screen called out in their inis. The Mainscreen is a Mercator projection world globe over a Hubble telescope deep space picture.

These are just a quick and diry fix for those experimentating with WW2 installs, or for those that want a more generic type screen. They are totally based off the stock originals, so need no ini adjustments. All the 'hot spots' for the buttons remain in their usual positions.

Relatively simple, easy to follow instructions are in the enclosed readme...so, give it a read!

    Have Fun!!!

  5. China (WW2) Upgrade Pak

China Terrain Upgrade: For WW2 PTO mods

This mod is an upgrade to Edward's WW2 China terrain. What I've done is added LOTS of new targets to the existing target areas, and replaced at least one airfield on each side with a newly repainted "desert airfiled 1", which is now a medium dirt runway (note: IJ forces get MORE than one!). The 'new' target areas are enhancements of already existing ones -- I've just added some more things here and there to make it look a little more populated. There are a couple of new parked planes, based of existing ones, hex-edited and reskinned for their proper users. Also a couple of Easter Eggs...you'll just have to find them for yourselves! New planning maps for all 3 zoom levels are also included.

This is a fairly 'target rich' environment -- there are plenty of items for strike and anti-shipping missions (A.S. missions ONLY for the Allied side - there are NO Allied shipping routes for IJ Forces to attack on this map, as is historical). It is also fairly well defended - so watch out for the flak.

It is suggested, just as an "oh, by the way....", that you install this upgrade into a CBI ONLY version of your PTO game install. Historically, there are many aircraft that are (and should be) "Theatre Specific". Meaning, you shouldn't be seening Zekes over China after December, 1941. While outside the scope of this mod, there IS a specific plane-set for use in the CBI.
You can, of course!, install it into a "Full PTO" style game install; you'll just have everybody and their brother flying around.

You MUST have ALL the Pacific Objects (ground units, ships, AAA, infantry, etc) already installed in you CBI/PTO version of the game; otherwise things won't be appearing. This is especially important for the ships -- make sure you have the barges (get both, they're needed in the GO folder), the Liberty ship, and all warships, both Allied and Japanese. Don't forget to check Geo's page for more WW2 goodies ... there's a lot of stuff that's usable (and used!) here as well. Hinchbrooke has some very nice Royal Navy battleships. <wink>

It is also reccomended that you have installed CA_Stary's WW2 hangars and buildings. They have a nice worn green wood-ish texture, and look really good.
The data ini has been upgraded to the latest standards. Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users".

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK FOR THE WW2 WEAPONS!! ==

It has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post 8/29/08 patch WoI. But should work with minimal problems, as long as one of the original terrain folders (SF/WoV/WoE) is residing in you WW2 WoI install. You do, however, use this in WoI at YOUR own risk.
It has been tested with the stock as-issued terrain tiles, and Bran32s repaints. The new tiles are NOT included. It has NOT been tested with any of the Green Hell mods, as I don't think south-central China is covered in jungle.....

Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It is HIGHLY reccomended that you read the install instructions all the way through FIRST before performing the procedure. Just to be safe, ya know??

    Happy Landings!

  6. F4F-4 Wildcat, VMF-223, Skin and Ini Pak

Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, Skin and Ini Pak for SF/WoV/WoE WW2: PTO Installs

This package contains a new skin, and some minor data & cockpit ini mods for Pasko's F4F-4 "Wildcat".

The skin represents VMF-223 "Bulldogs", as the squadron appeared in August, 1942, upon their arrival at Guadalcanal. They were the first US fighters to land, and be based at, what became known as Henderson Field.
The skin is based off the originals, and was created from a new template, with completly redrawn panel, rivet lines, wear, tear and various scuffs, scrapes, dings, dents and general dirtiness associated with the SoWesPac. Decals for 36 'plane in group numbers' have been included, as has the aircraft type ID, and BuNums. (100% historical accuracy is NOT claimed for the BuNums, as I could only positively confirm the one used on aircraft #13; rest assured, the others ARE actual serial numbers used on F4F-4s, but I'm unable to pin down if any were actually used by the Bulldogs on their aircraft, other then the aforementioned)

The data ini mods include corrected positions and the additions of, running, recognition, formation and landing lights. I've also tweeked the canopy to it opens to it's full extent; swaped out the pilot for a more US looking WW2 guy, and gave him a seat to "park it" on. -NO OTHER CHANGES HAVE BEEN EFFECTD-I!! Flight modeling remains just 'as issued'. Enhanced AI sections have been added, including the "StrafeAI" from post-patch WoI. The engine sound has also been changed (wav included!). Also, it is now fully carrier-qualified, so mission and campaign builders can use it from the CVs.

The cockpit ini has a new WW2 N-3 gunsight tga.

An experimental sound tweek has also been added, creating the ratcheting sound of the landing gear mechanism.

-= NOTE: You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
-== This aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE and post-patch WoI (8/29/08). There still are some 'issues' with prop-plane flight models, but there has been a MARKED improvement!! You use it in WoI at YOUR own risk ==-

As you'd expect, there's a nice readme enclosed with detailed, step-by-step install instructions. The Commandant of the Corps requires you to do so. The usual "Notes,Comments and General BS" section might make for interestering reading too!
Feedback is requested on the new gear sound, so do let me know how it goes for you?

  7. F4U-1A Corsair Mod

F4U-1A "Corsair" mod for SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO installs

This package is a simple mod to the existing F4U-1 created by Wolf257. It will create a NEW aircraft, the F4U-1A, which the aircraft really is. This will differentiate the "F4U-1 Birdcage" mod of mine from each other.

The package contains ALL the necessary files to create the aircraft; various inis, etc, EXCEPT the aircraft LOD (the physical model) a NEW skin from my enhanced template, representing VF-17 "Jolly Rogers. I'm really surprised NO one has done this skin before!!! Individual 'plane in group' numbers, BuNums are incuded for 36 aircraft. Unfortunately, the 'tail art' is not. See "Notes and General Nonsense" below for explinations
A new Jolly Roger's themed loading screen is also included, as is the damage tga, a new gunsight tga, and my original Corsair Hangar Screen.

Full, detailed instructions are below in the "To Installate" section.

--YOU MUST HAVE THE BUNYAP WEAPONS PACK TO GET THE WW2 WEAPONS!! --
--- YOU MUST HAVE WOLF'S ORIGINAL F4U-1 INSTALLED FOR THE LOD!!! ---

This aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE and post-patch WoI (8/29/08). There still are some 'issues' with prop-plane flight models in WoI, but there has been a MARKED improvement!! You use it in WoI at YOUR own risk.

Yup, another highly detailified, step-by-step readme for you all to enjoy is included...aren't you glad I write these things?

  8. F4U-1 "Birdcage" Corsair Mod (stand in)

F4U-1 "Corsair" Birdcage mod for SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO installs

This package is a simple mod to the existing F4U-1 created by Wolf257. It will create a NEW aircraft, a 'stand in' F4U-1 'Birdcage' Corsair. You will also be making changes to your EXISTING F4U-1, with some simple file renaming to create the F4U-1A, which the aircraft really is. This will differentiate them from each other.

The package contains ONLY the necessary files to create the aircraft; various inis, etc, and a NEW skin from my enhanced template, representing VMF-124, the first American unit to take the Corsair into action in Feburary, 1943.

You MUST have Wolf's original F4U-1 to create the full aircraft from. The aircraft LOD (physical model) is NOT included!!! The cockpit folder IS included, as I made some changes in the 'viewed' wing, so rather than have the end users make a mistake with the 'wing.bmp', I choose to include the full folder. A "slightly" enhanced dash bmp is included, just for fun.
The damage tga and a NEW -only available in this mod- Birdcage Corsair Hangar screen are also included!

Full, detailed instructions are below in the "To Installate" section.

--YOU MUST HAVE THE BUNYAP WEAPONS PACK TO GET THE WW2 WEAPONS!! --
--- YOU MUST HAVE WOLF'S ORIGINAL F4U-1 INSTALLED FOR THE AIRCRAFT LOD!!! ---

This aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE and post-patch WoI (8/29/08). There still are some 'issues' with prop-plane flight models, but there has been a MARKED improvement!! You use it in WoI at YOUR own risk.

As mentioned above, there's (yet another!) detailed readme enclosed -- so I require you to read the thing!! Notes, explinations, blah, blah, etc, and so forth.

  9. Grumman TBF-1 Avenger Mod

    Grumman TBF-1 Avenger -- A Mod of the Dev A-Team's TBF-1C

This is a mod of the DAT's TBM-1C Avenger of WW2 fame, into an early war version, circa 1942

This is to be considered as an "incomplete" aircraft mod, due to the non-inclusion of certain files. I've NOT included the aircraft LOD file nor the cockpit folder. See below "To Install" for a complete list of the necessary parts.
You -MUST- have the DAT's TBF-1C to make use of this aircraft, as you'll be coping files over from it.

The new skin, from a completly redrawn template based on Gramps' original skins, represents VT-3 based aboard USS Saratoga (CV-3) circa August/September 1942, approximately the time of the Battle of Santa Cruz and the fight for Guadalcanal. All the panel and rivet lines have been redone, new decals created for 'plane in group numbers', aircraft designation, and BuNums for 24 aircraft. It can also be considered a rather 'generic' USN/USMC version, as most units carried no markings. Some USMC VMSB units DID use a 3-digit ID number, based upon the aircrafted BuNum, but that's a story for another day...

I've included all the inis I've modified, so you'll be copying the minimum number of bits. The data ini includes mods that remove the wing guns, and adds the single 30 caliber MG on the nose. Unfortunatley, the LOD still contains the postions of the 2 wing mounted 50 cals, so you'll have to suspend disbelief (or pretend they're broom handles stuck there to fool enemy fighters that they're real guns)
Surface search radar has also been activated. NEW damage tgs's have also been created (they can be used on any of the TBF/TBMs).

= IMPORTANT: This aircraft is designed for use in SF/WoV/WoE -ONLY-, I have NOT tested it in post -8/28/08- patch WoI =

=This mod is designed for use with the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06, as it contains all the needed weapons . If attempting to use this aircraft with any other weapons pak, you'll need to add ALL the WW2 era bombs, torpedoes, etc. They are NOT included in this package.=

As you probably suspect, there's a highly detailed, step-by-step readme included, so you'd be wise to read it!!! And as always, the usual notes and comments and general nonsense....

  10. 11 Sentai Ki-43iib Oscar Skin Set

Nakajima Ki-43 "Oscar", Skin , For SF/WoV/WoE PTO Installs

This package contains a reskin of Wolf257's Ki-43 'Oscar'. It is specifically designed for use on the Ki-43iib mod I released last year . Again, this skin is for Wolf's Oscar =ONLY= , and will absolutely NOT work on ArmorDave's version
You MUST have the Wolf's "WW2 Planes Pak", AND my Ki-43iib mod to install this to. Both are available at CombatAce.

The skin is based off the original IJAAF Natural Metal and Camos, and was built from a new template created off the original skins. All new panel, rivet lines, and other details were drawn by me. The tail Chutai marking is a decal.

It represents aircraft of 11 Sentai, 2 Chutai during early 1942 through early 1943 timeframe, as seen over Malaya, Dutch East Indies (or NEI) and New Gueina. 2 other chutai tail makings have been supplied for those wishing to create the full Sentai. (full instructions are below in the "To Create The Full Sentai" section)

-= NOTE: You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
--= NOTE: You MUST have Wolf257's Ki-43 (and my Ki-43IIb mod) to install this pakage into (duh!!) and =--
    - This mod has ONLY been tested in SF, WoV and WoE. This mod is NOT reccomended for use in a WW2 style install of WoI, as it handles prop flight models in "an extreamly odd way".-

It is HIGHLY suggested that you read the enclosed readme COMPLETLY THROUGH before installing this pak; this will help you during the install process, blah, blah, blah, Notes and Comments section, and of course, etc.

  12. Darwin (WW2) Update Pak

Darwin (WW2) Terrain Upgrade: For WW2 PTO mods SF/WoV/WoE -ONLY-

This mod is a relatively simple upgrade to Edward's WW2 Darwin terrain. What I've done is added LOTS of new targets to the existing target areas, and replaced at least one airfield, on each side, with a repainted "desert airfiled 1", which is now a medium dirt runway. The 'new' target areas are enhancements of already existing ones -- I've just added some more things here and there to make it look a little more populated. There are a couple of new parked planes, based of existing ones, hex-edited and reskinned for their proper users.

This is a fairly 'target rich' environment -- there are plenty of items for strike and anti-shipping missions. It is also fairly well defended - so watch out for the flak.

It has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line, or down below for full instructions)

New planning maps (all 3) have been created; only the #3 map has the cities listed on it, to keep #1 & 2 fairly 'clean'.

You MUST have ALL the Pacific Objects (ground units, ships, AAA, infantry, etc) already installed in you PTO version of the game; otherwise things won't be appearing. <wink> However, you DO get a new PT Boat. The lods and skin bmps come from Edwards Solomons Terrain; I just built an half-assed data ini for it to add one more little ship.

It is also reccomended that you have installed CA_Stary's WW2 hangars and buildings. They have a nice worn green wood-ish texture, and look really good in the PTO theatre! I have, also, included the original data ini with it's terrain and water effects activeated (Vista user take note!! -more for you below).

I HAVE tested the map with both Brain32's tiles, and CA_Stary's "Green Hell'' mods; it is NOT set up for their use, and if you choose to install either of them, you do so at your own risk (not that anything bad would really happen...). See "Notes and Comments below for more". While they do greatly enhance the visual eye candy, there are several issues due to target placements.

As stated above, the data ini has been upgraded to the latest standards. Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users".

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =

  18. Ki-57 "Topsy" Skin and Ini Pak

    Ki-57 "Topsy" skin - for SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO instals

This is just a simple reskin of Wolf257's Ki-57 IJAAF transport plane to give it a slightly better looking paint job. Nothing really special, just added on the 'side windows' (ie: painted them on). The skin is based off my Ki-21 'Sally' upgrade for some time ago. It's a very basic, rather generic IJAAF green, with no important markings. Simply because I couldn't find any in my source books!

As this aircraft IS desinged for AI use only, I haven't included any of the really neat little bits for adding a cockpit. You can use the instructions in either of the Sally upgrade pak. It might actually be kind of fun, to just take off and fly around the map (avoiding enemy fighters, of course, as you ain't got no guns!!). The cockpit ini, just for giggles, IS included. You'll need to have the cockpit from Pasko's Mosquito B.IV. The readouts have been converted to use metric data, as has the data ini.
The included slightly tweeked data ini, adds Japanese pilots and seats for them to rest on. A damage tga is also included, so you can have the shot up look.

I didn't bother to create a hangar screen. It's a transport, and nice for eye candy.

See the enclosed readme for more, detailed install instructions

    Happy Landings!

  19. P-51A Mustang, 530th FS, CBI - Skin & Ini Pak

NAA P-51A Mustang, 530FS, 311 FG, Skin and Ini Pak, For SF/WoV/WoE CBI installs

This package contains modifications and a reskin of Wolf's P-51A as used in the CBI Theatre. These are the early Allison-engined versions. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, -specifically- designed for use in the CBI style install of the games, if you've created CBI only WW2 install that is . I've seen no other references to "A" model Mustangs being used anywhere else in the Pacific Theatre.

The skin represents aircraft from the 530th FS, 311 FG located in Burma, circa 1943.
I say 'semi-complete', as only the skin and decals, plus various inis are included in this mod. You =WILL= be transfering several critical files from your original P-51A to get this mod to work. (see "To Install" below) Consider this a "Theatre Specific" type of aircraft mod.

The various inis supplied in this kit, will give you the loadouts and other tweeks I've made that fit the time frame, and more importantly, the Theatre of Operations. "A" model Mustangs were slightly different in their usage and loads, then AAF ones used in the ETO/MTO - and different again from RAF ones. The P-51As as used in Burma at this time carried the 3-tube M-10 "Triple Bazooka" launcher, plus their usual compliment of bombs and machine guns. Nose guns are NOT used on this model.

I have included a bunch of small files, NEW Loading and Hangar screens, SHD (shadow), and other bits. But remember -- the main aircraft LOD file is NOT included, as per Wolf's wishes, nor is the cockpit folder. His original "P-51A_readme.txt" is included as well.

-= NOTE: you must have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
=NOTE: you MUST have Wolf257s WW2 Planes Pak for the Original P-51A Lod and Cockpit folder (DUH!)=
    - This mod has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE. This mod is NOT reccomended for use in a WW2 PTO style install of WoI, as it handles prop flight models in "a most unusual, and odd way"-

PLEASE read the enclosed readme for detailed, easy to follow install instructions.

    Good Hunting!

  20. Burma (WW2) Terrain Hot Fix

WW2 Burma Hot Fix - for SF/WoV/WoE, PTO Modded Installs

This little package contains redone TFD and HFD files for Edward's WW2 Burma terrain.
I did an ooopsy, and forgot to include them in the original Upgrad Pak.

What this will do, is 'flatten' certain target areas, most notably Hanoi Airfield, and the various train stations, so their objects do not appear sunked into the ground.
It will have NO effect on anything else.

EASY to follow instructifications in the enclosed readme.

    Enjoy!

  21. Burma (WW2) Targets Upgrade Pak

Burma Terrain Upgrade: For WW2 CBI/PTO mods

This mod is a relatively simple upgrade to Edward's WW2 Burma terrain. What I've done is added LOTS of new targets to the existing target areas, and replaced at least one airfield with a newly repainted "desert airfiled 1", which is now a medium dirt runway.

(see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line)

It is suggested, just as an "oh, by the way....", that you install this upgrade into a CBI ONLY version of your PTO game install. Historically, there are many aircraft that are (and should be) "Theatre Specific". Meaning, you shouldn't be seening Zekes over Burma/Occupied Indo-China or China itself after December, 1941.

They have a nice worn green wood-ish texture, and look really good in the CBI theatre! Also (more below), the data ini I've supplied is based on using CA_Stary's "Green Hell" tiling mod for WoV's VietnamSEA. -- this mod is highly reccomended. I have, however, included the original data ini; also with it's terrain and water effects activated (Vista user take note!!)

As stated above, the BOTH data inis has been upgraded to the latest standards. Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users".

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER ==
=== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK FOR THE WW2 WEAPONS!! ===
==== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE WW2 PLANES NEEDED, TOO. OTHERWISE IT'S KINDA BORING ====

Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems.

As expected, there are highly detailed, step-by-step install procedures. I'd suggest reading the enclosed "readme" through FIRST before putting all the bits into the terrain folder -that should be standard CYA for any mods to be installed. And the usual Notes and Explinations, Credits and Other Nonsense.

Good Luck, Good Hunting, and Happy Landings!!

  22. A-4AR FightingHawk

    A-4AR FightingHawk, Fuerza Aérea Argentina

    A Stand-Alone aircraft for SF/WoV/WoE =and= WoI

    Introduction, from the ReadMe:

This package will create a complete, 'nation specific' aircraft; the A-4AR FightingHawk, as used by the Argentine Air Force. You will also be adding several 'new' Argentinian nation-specific weapons, so get your Weapons Editor of choice warmed up. As stated, this is a COMPLETE aircraft, with ALL parts necessary to -almost- unzip and fly away. I've included ALL the aircraft LODs and Damge tgas, as the A-4F itself is readily availble as a free add-on aircraft from 3rd Wire, and it's internal parts exist in all versions of the game, excepting WoI. This is the main reason it's an 'all inclusive' mod -- WoI does NOT contain the necessary aircraft LODs, and as it's freely available, I reckon it won't voilate the EULA in any way, shape or form.

This is an almost complete rebuild of an aircraft created by "Ravens**t" , from 2005. The skin supplied, and possibly the decals, were originaly created by Soulfreak. All the serial numbers are new, created by me.
The aircraft is based off the stock 3rd Wire A-4F Skyhawk, and while not a perfect physical match (there are a some exterior changes on the Real Aircraft ™ - such as the ECM/ESM fairing atop the verticle fin, after all, the Real Aircraft ™ were rebuilds of the A-4M), it's close enough until someone builds a correct A-4M body.
Loadouts are a 'best guess' based on the eariler FAA Skyhawks, and research on the Web.
Ravens**t's original readme is also included, for historical purposes.

The cockpit is based off Julheim's "What If..." Kestral, and included a working HUD, CCIP and for WoI users, working Ground Mapping radar. Also included are almost all the avionics, including various and sundry bmps and tgas, from The Mirage Factory's F-16A-10, as they have the best look and feel.

Remember: although this is designed for use in ANY of the game, you won't have the GM radar working in SF/WoV/WoE. I have supplied a WoI-only style avionics ini (for use in that game), as at present, it has the only avionics70.dll that supports HUD/CCIP and Ground Mapping radars. So, again: there are 2 avionices inis - you'll be choosing which to use based on what game you install it to. Obviously, after the next patch comes out for SF/WoV/WoE, you'll be using the WoI style one. But that's still a long time off...
See the "Selecting the Avionics ini" in the install instructions below

There are 2 hangar screen enclosed, one is RS's original for SF/WoV/WoE, and a new one by me for WoI.

It is set up to use either of the weapons paks; the Bunyap Pak or Mirage Factory, ---BUT-- you WILL be adding the Agrentine nation specific-weapons. See "Adding Weapons" section below.

As you've probably guessed by now, there's an EXTENSIVE readme with hightly detailed, step-by-step install instructions. It's strongly reccomended that you read it through first, before making choices. There's even a screenshot to illustrate a point (aimpoint, actually)! Also, an extensive Rants & Notes section.

  23. P-400 Airacobra Skin & Ini Pak

Bell P-400 "Airacobra", 39th FS Skin and Ini Pak, For SF/WoV/WoE PTO installs

This is a semi-complete mod, re-creating the P-400, export version of the Bell P-39 "Airacobra". The skin represents aircraft from the 39th FS, 35th FG as seen around Port Morseby, PNG during mid-1942

It is also to be considered a FULL replacement, minus certain files, for the P-400 mod that's been on my site for several years. This version gets a fully upgraded skin, with newly redrawn panel and rivet lines, and a replacement cockpit, based on the Dev A-Team's Hurricane.

When I say "semi-complete", this means the aircraft LOD file is NOT included, NOR are the cockpit files from the Hurricane 1. You WILL be transfering these from their respective aircraft. Needless to say, you MUST have Wolf's WW2 Planes Pak for the LOD, and the DATs Hurri. Full instructions, and a parts list, are below in the "Install Instructions".

I've supplied all the inis, misc bmps and tgas and various and sundry bits to make the process as easy as possible.

The skin, as said above, is for the 39th FS, and has completely new redrawn panel and rivet lines. Aircraft ID numbers are as accurate as possible, based on research. Serial numbers are NOT used, as these were painted out in-theatre. In reality, although not painted on the aircraft, these birds were assigned RAF serials, as they were originally intented for the UK.

A revamped, cleaned up version of my original P-39 Hangar Screen is included, as is the damage tga.

-= NOTE: you must have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
    - This mod has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE. This mod is NOT reccomended for use in a WW2 PTO style install of WoI, as it handles prop flight models in "a most unusual, and odd way"

As usual, you are REQUIRED to read the enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions.

  24. MiG-31BM "Foxhound" Field Fix Repair Package

    MiG-31BM "Foxhound" Repair Package

This package is designed an 'in the field' repair kit to fix several of the unfinished bits in the recently released Mig-31BM Foxhound.
Included are tweeks to the data, loadout, cockpit, avionics inis, as well as several repainted bmps and tgas for the cockpit itself. Also, are 2 new APU-62 dual IR missile rails, with corrected weapons placement. These are based off the original units, but have been edited for use on the Foxhound -ONLY-.

    Other fixes include:
Adjusting the operational years to more "Real Life" for this model, and making it "SOVIET" only
Adjusting the cockpit position to match the pilot position on the external model
Upgrading cockpit ini to the latest standard (SF/WoV/WoE); this includes adding the latest fixes for several intruments, post Patch 4
Adding running lights and adjusting the Landing/taxi lights
Adjusting the Loadout to fit semi-current knowledge and weapons; adding drop tanks,
Repainting several cockpt bmps and tgas to have correct Cyrllic/Russian labels,
Adjusting avionics, adding/replacing several display bmps/tgas
Mod to decals ini, to use stock in-game bort numbers
Several other tweeks I'm sure will become apparent as you fly (meaning: I can't remember them!)
Addition of 2 "new" RWR sounds (can't remember where they come from)
Switching over the engine sound to TMF's "MiGEngine"

Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do about the flight model, which still needs some attention by an expert. I don't have the understanding of how those things work, so .... it'll still 'bob and weave' as originally released.

To complete the package, I've included The Insky Boys AA-9 Amos, and the weapons data to be added to your WeaponsData.ini, just in case you didn't have it before. Instructions to add the weapons in the 'Weapons' folder in the kit.

Note: weapons loads are designed for use with the Bunyap Pak. If you're using another WepPak, you MAY need to add several weapons to it. This is of particular insterst for the A-G guided missiles (which are a 'best guess' at best!)

READ the enclose readme for fully detailed, step-by-step instructions, plus a full listing of contributors. Without their help, I couldn't have fixed this bird

  25. WW2 Europe by FNG2K & Edward

Europe WW2 Terrain for SF, WoE & WoV

I couldn't find the original readme, so we'll make due with this....

This is FNG2K and Edward's WW2 Europe terrain, reissued for those that don't have it. It is NOT as released, as I've made some small changes over the years since it's original release, most notably in the area of 'Ground Objects'. I've pulled them out of the terrain folder, and re-created them as GroundObjects. Their main inis have been adjusted, as per Patch 4 to have them show the proper way.

This is the COMPLETE terrain set, with all the various inis, bmps, tgas, and whatnot needed to ALMOST unzip and fly on. You'll be adding various items to several main game folders, so it is MORE THAN HIGHLY RECCOMENDED THAT THIS TERRAIN BE USED IN A "STAND-ALONE" WW2 ETO/SWOTL GAME INSTALL. For information on how to create one, if you don't know already, consult the Knowledge Base at CombatAce.
You'll find that information here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=19630

Water effects are active, so Vista users take note...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users".

It is HIGHLY reccomended you have Geo's WW2 Ground Object Pak, for the various and sundry trucks, tanks, AFVs, AAA units and etcs. I've included as many as I can positively ID as coming with the original terrain set, as stated above, now turned into GroundObjects. Hopefully, I've filtered out the permissioned ones. If not, I apologize in advance.

NOTE: this terrain is NOT reccomended for use in a WW2 ETO/SWOTL install based on Wings Over Israel. WoI handles prop flight models in a 'most peculiar way', and you'll experience massive frustration in just trying to fly. It is designed, originally, for SF, but works in WoE and WoV, as long as the proper terrain cat is selected. See below for more detailed instructions

= NOTE: You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons & Guns Pak of 6/06 for the proper WW2 weapons and guns!! =
Although, I HAVE included my GunData.ini and GunData.dat files. These have all the proper WW2 guns and such.

Be advised, one of the objects I've added is the Nazi Flag. If you live in a country that prohibits it's exhibition, you may wish to delete the "3RFlag" bits.

PLEASE read the enclosed readme for full, detailed, step-by-step install directions. This complies with MOD Directive of June, 1941 #1058, but is NOT coverd by the Official Secrets Act.
