  1. SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack

    SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack 2/11/16

    -- For SF-2E, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is a full aircraft package, containing the F-86A Sabre as used by the USAFE during the early-to mid 1950s. This pack contains only those aircraft as used in Europe.
Like the KAW Sabre pak (albeit this containing only 1 airplane), all needed bits (Effects, Sounds, Pilot, etc) are included.

Again, as a reminder, this is a European-centric aircraft package only (SF2:E)!!

In this package are F-86A Sabres from the 81st FIW, USAFE, as based in the UK ...

    116th FIS
    91st FIS
    92nd FIS

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the tail fin color bands. A "fake SqTail" decal is included and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen for those units listed in the game's SquadronList.ini (91st & 92nd). The 116th is not, but if you wish to add it, feel free to do so. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format. 24 Serials and Buzz Numbers are included for all 3 skins, and are accuate for A Model Sabres, but just not for the squadrons represented. Consider them 'generic' for this purpose. The Hangar & Loading screen remain their "KAW" versions.

The Data and Loadout ini have been tweeked as per the recently released F-86F-40 USAFE pak, and Ground Attack (CAS, Strike) mission tasking has been activated. Operational service dates remain the same, even though the F-86A did not arrive in the UK before 1951.
REMINDER -- the mission tasking and loadouts are =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else! See "Notes" for more information, if wishing to use the modified data ini in your KAW mods folder.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information.
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.
Just so we're clear on everything, this is for use in Europe (SF2:E) ONLY!!!

    Happy Landings!

  2. SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak

    SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak 2/7/16

    -- For SF-2, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is to be applied to the "F-86F-40 Remod Pak", available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13788-sf2-f-86f-40-sabre-remod-pak/

It is also advised, if/when installing both the original Remod Pak and these skins in SF2:E you =MUST= remove any/all other skins for non-European based users (such as JASDF, IIAF, EtAF). This will preclude any "oddites" that you might see over The Continent. See "Notes" below for more information on the included data and loadout inis.
In other words, this is a European-centric skin/decals/ini package only!!

In this package are skins for Sabres from the 50th FWB, USAFE, in the mid-1950s ...

    10th FBS
    81st FBS
    417th FBS

also a remoded/corrected version of the...

461st FDS, 36th FDW (corrected FDW)

skin/decal ini with 'fixed' tail skin, and corrected Wing affiliation in the texture set ini. Also, a "Level 1 decal" has been added, activating the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen. When installing, just allow the overwrite for this skin.

I've been unable to run down exactly WHICH F-86F version was used by these squadron, so simply chose to use the F-40, given the time frame they operated them (1953-58-ish).
As all the Sabres are mapped the same, can be used for any of the F-86F variants. However, if NOT using this on the -40 model, do =NOT= use the included data ini!! (but you can copy the changes, which are the 1950s pilot figure and 'steerable nose gear' callouts)

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the nose color bands for the 50th FBW birds. Tail bands are decals, at Level=1, and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen (these are stock units,
listed in the game's SquadronList.ini). All skins use a "pool" of serial Serial and buzz numbers; while these should be considered 'generic' in nature, are for the variant depicted. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format.

As well as a slightly tweeked data ini, a new "USAFE only" style loadout ini is included. . REMINDER -- this loadout ini is =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information on the 2 inis included!
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.

It is adivsed you have Part 1 installed in the SF2:E mods folder first.
In other words, like Part 1, this is a European-centric skin/decals/ini package only!!

In this package are skins for Sabres from the 36th FDW, USAFE, in the mid-1950s ...

All markings are decals, with the Tail bands at Level=1, and as such, will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen (these are stock units, listed in the game's SquadronList.ini). 5. SF2:I 3W Vautour IIA Upgrade Pack

    SF2:I 3W Vautour IIA Upgrade Pack              11/23/2017
    = For SF2:I (or Any & All, Full-4/5 Merged Preffered) =
*Can be used in any merged install that has access to the SF2I Meteor F.8, as this cockpit is referenced for this aircraft. It is the "best, closest fit" Hence, the 'Full-5 Merged' tag is applicable*
Extensive modifications and upgrades to the stock 3W S.O.4050 Vautour IIA as used by the IDF/AF,and French Air Force. As seen on the CombatAce message boards, the aircraft gets the addition of the missing outboard wing pylons. These are attached via the 'fake pilot' method. The only disadvantage is, they are always present, even when not loaded. A fact that must be lived with. Also, as stated above, with the addition of a cockpit, the aircraft is now "Player Usable".
Many other modification have been performed, and all are listed in the "Notes" section of this readme. Loadouts have been adjusted, as have several other important statements in the data ini. All weapons used are stock 3W items, meaning they still use the UK bombs. End Users (tm) that wish to swap our to the various French bombs available in weapons packs may do. Be advised, I did =NOT= test with those, so their attachment positions -may- not match.
Even though there isn't another Vautour IIA, I've added a statement to the "displayed name", so it now reads:
    Vautour IIA (3W)
This is just one of my usual "things", when more than one of the type exists.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  6. SF2:I Boeing C-97 "Anak", IDF/AF Pack

    SF2:I Boeing C-97 "Anak", IDF/AF Pack             11/27/2017
    = For SF2:I (or Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*Please note, as there is no B-337 Stratcruiser, the C-97 is standing in for all the civilian versions used by the IDF/AF. Also, this represents ONLY the cargo versions, not the air refueling tankers*
This is a mod of Veltro2k's C-97G Stratofreighter depicting those as used by the Israeli Defense Force/Air Force in the mid-1960s through the late 1970s. This is the full aircraft "nationalized" for IDF/AF usage only.
Serial numbers are 100% historical for aicraft(s) depicted (both B337 & C-97). All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Pilot figures, various sounds are supplied. The new, updated/upgraded template IS included for other skinners to use.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please READ them ... after unzipping but before installling, of course!!

*Designed for use in the standard/stand alone SF2:I Mods folder (suggested usage). But will work in all versions of SF2 with the IsrealME terrain.*

**This mod =WILL= work in 1stGen WoI, but End Users ™ will have to 'save as..' back to ANSI formatting. The ini herein is in Unicode**

This pak contains a major expansion of the movements ini for the stock IsrealME terrain.

  8. SF2:I IsraelME Terrain Remod

    SF2:I IsraelME Terrain Remod 6/1/2015

= For SF2:I (or any Merged Install) =

**Note: This Is A MODERN (1948 and Later) Version -ONLY-!!!**

This is a remod of the stock SF2:I IsraelME terrain. It has been extensively retiled, target areas have been expanded and enhanced and so on. BE ADVISED: at this time, it's unknown of these terrain mods will break campaigns-in-progress. To be safe, back up any campaigns-in-progress inis.
It is designed to replace, and expand, the existing stock 3W terrain.

Stock in-game items have been used as much as possible, although some additional structrues HAVE been added. Add-on GroundObjects, while heavily listed in the _Types.ini, aren't included (really, there ARE -none- included -use the ones from the Israel 2 terrain remod, as they're the same). Its up to the End User ™ to make sure that you have the theatre-specific (read: Israeli & Arab states) proper items. SF2:I is REQUIRED for this terrain (DOH!), as it references a myriad of IsrealME -only- terrain items.

A massive amount of retiling has been performed, with the addition of over 60 new tiles to fill in blanks left in the original set. BE ADVISED: these new tiles match the STOCK styling =ONLY=!! Do NOT use these new tiles in/on any IME terrain with any other tile set. They will not match!!

Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life ™ courses, be placed in their Real Life ™ locations, may visually defy gravity and other Universal Laws of Physics, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features and target areas will also fall into that classification. Some target areas (cities, etc) exist only as named places, even if they might have had strategic or tactical values. You may also experience longer loading times; this is to be expected.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended (ie: REQUIRED!!!) you read the document through after unzipping, but =before= installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section makes for essential reading.

It's most important that the legal disclaimer at the bottom be read and complied with. There has been a change in policy with regards to =ALL= my terrain mods.

  9. SF2:I REAF/EAF Spitfire Mk.V Trop Pak by Cocas Aircraft Factory

SF2:I REAF/EAF Spitfire Mk.V Trop Pak by Cocas Aircraft Factory & Co (ver 0.9) 1/06/2014

    -- Something for the Mid-East --

    = For SF2:I, and/or Full-5 Merged +Expansion Paks (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: having whichever expansion pak gave us the Spit Mk. IX is required, as this mod references the stock 3W destroyed Spitfire, and early EAF roundels. It is designed to be =ONLY= used in the SF2:I environment. Anything else is 'at your own risk'. (although it WILL work in a FUll-5 merged +2 Expansion Paks) *

This is tagged as Ver 0.9, as we're sure some minor fixes may be required. We wanted to get it out into the hands of End Users ™, both for your flying pleasure, and further examinations.
As stated, above this aircraft package is for use ONLY in the SF2I environment, and only between the years of 47-49 (although tagged with a 44 start date). This is required, as the national marking reference ALL stock 3W decals.
All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. You have 26 historical serial numbers, in Arabic characters.
Skin included with the package is:

EAF: No. 2 Squadron (post-45, just EAF; previous user, REAF)

Finished in the Standard Desert Day Scheme, as delivered from RAF stocks during WW2.
The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. Guns are also grouped, MGs in Group 1, the cannon in Group 2. No weapons or guns are included -you SHOULD already have these-, but the pilot figure and drop tank are.

    When in game, you'll see:

    Spitfire Mk.Vb Trop EAF (CAF)

on the aircraft selection dropdown menu. This will diferentiate THIS Spitfire from any other EAF Mk.Vs you may (or may not) have.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

  10. SF2:I Vautour IIN Upgrade Pack

SF2:I Vautour IIN Upgrade Pack              11/27/2017
    = For SF2:I (or Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
Extensive modifications and upgrades to Veltro2k's S.O.4050 Vautour IIN Night/All Weather fighter-bomber as used by the IDF/AF. As seen on the CombatAce message boards, a major revamp adds 2 skins for ealy service in the IDF/AF.
This mod is designed to replace all other versions, in toto, of the Vautour IIN. This package contains the full, entire aircraft.
Many modification have been performed, and all are listed in the "Notes" section of this readme. Loadouts have been adjusted, as have several other important statements in the data ini. All weapons used are stock 3W items, meaning they still use the UK bombs. End Users (tm) that wish to swap out to the various French bombs available in weapons packs may do. Be advised, I did =NOT= test with those, so their attachment positions -may- not match.
All new, historical "plane-in-squadron/serial numbers" for IDF usage. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. However, due to the low number of aircraft (6-7) the randomization (for some reason) seems not to be working.
Even though there isn't another Vautour IIN, I've added a statement to the "displayed name", so it now reads:
    Vautour IIN (V2K)
This is just one of my usual "things", when more than one of the type exists.

  11. SF2:NA -- Iceland Targets Tweek Pak, V.1

    IcelandNA Targets Tweek for SF2:NA

    = For SF2NA, And/Or Full-5 Merged Installs ONLY!! =

*Note: for the SF2:NA IcelandNA map ONLY!!! It may be usable on Gerwins TFD/HFD based terrain, but many items will need repositioning due to the existence of actual coastlines*

Some very basic enhancements to the target areas on Iceland, to increase the 'eye candy' and try to make it loook like people actually live there. Using the basic layout of several stock 'cities', filling in some gaps.

As to be expected, there are at least 2 Easter Eggs on this terrain - one real, one fictional. I've tried to keep the needed ground objects to a minimum, so they are not included. You should have them from other terrain mods. (fishing trawlers, small cargo ship). Tried to keep it a 'stock' as possible. However, some enhancements have been perfromed on Air Defenses on both sides, but a -very- minimum, just in case things change radically with the next patch.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read the document through after unzipping, but BEFORE installing.

  12. SF2:V RB-57E Canberra "Patricia Lynn" (Remod)

    SF2 RB-57E Canberra "Patricia Lynn" (Remod)              7/25/2019
    = For SF2:V ( or Any & All SF2s, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*note: this mod was started for a CA member in July, 2018. I just recently found it in my archives. Figured I might as well release it!*
This is a complete rebuild of Anjundair's B-57E, and an update to Migbuster's RB-57E "Patricia Lynn" package for SF2:V.
The aircraft has 3 full skin and decal sets; all serial number decals are 100% historically correct. These skins depict the 460th TRW, Det 1 at various times in their deployments to Southeast Asia:
    Natual Metal (1963)
    Night 1 (1966)
    Night 2 (1970)
The skins use the SF2 'date switch', and marking change as needed as per the year in use. Skins remain in their bitmap format.
The FM has been rebuild using the stock 3W B-57 as a base. The avionics have been upgraded, and you'll now have a full time LLTV set up. As there is no accurate B-57 cockpit, the F-4B is used as a stand in, due to it having scope to display the radar, TFR and LLTV (yes, we know there actually wasn't one in the front cockpit). This (gaming) aircraft remains fully combat capable, unlike the Real Life (tm) versions. See Notes for more information.
    When in game, you'll see
    RB-57E Canberra (AJ)
on the aircraft selection dropdown window. The "AJ" credits Ajundair, even though there are no other RB-57s available.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! If you have any earlier versions of this aircraft mod, it is =HIGHLY= suggested you delete the aircraft and decals folders, as THIS mod replaces everything. End users (tm) might also find the Notes section enlightning and informative.

  13. SF2:V USAF A-1H Skyraider, MPPD Skin Remod Pak

SF2:V A-1H Skyraider, MPPD Skin Remod Pak 7/10/2014

= For SF2:V (but can be used in all merged installs) =

*You =must= have SF2:V to have access to the stock 3rd Wire A-1H Skyraider. Please note, the cockpit is NOT included. You'll have to locate and install that yourself*

This pack contains remods of skin/decal sets originally done by Mike "MPPD" Druzolowski for the Razbam A-1H Skyraider, for SFP1.
They have now been adapted for use on the stock 3W SPADs.

Skins included are for the following units:

    1st SOS, 56th SOW
22nd SOS, 56th SOW (Nite unders)
    602nd SOS, 56th SOW

as seen in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam war. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE.
When necessary, the aircraft has been repainted to match the original releases (ie: 22nd SOS).
I've included MPPD's original readme for historical purposes, as it has interestering information.

*Note: in particular, these are designed for use in a WW2 PTO mods folder built =FROM= the SF2NA.exe. No others seem to have whatever coding is needed (at least in my testing) for proper CVBG formation. Be advised, it will absolutely =NOT= work in 1stGens.*

Most of these ships are mods of Hinchbrooks's or Geo's, reflagged and slightly tweeked. Some you may have already, as they've been used on several terrain mods of mine for The Pacific War ™. These will replace them.

Also included is Grinch's original Fletcher DD, that causes NO seizures in SF2/SF2NA.
I'm no Naval Archetiect, so "those that know", please make any needed corrections and upload!
When discoverable, armor values reflect Real Life ™. Names lists have been created for all.
REMINDER: if you have these ships already, you may want to back up the originals, as this pack WILL completly replace/overwrite them!!!!

REMEMBER: For the most part, these are "stand in" ships!!! and may not reflect the full capabilities of their Real Life ™ counterparts. (Or, in some cases, even look like them) Unless otherwise indicated, all ships were originally created by Hinchbrook a loooooooong time ago.

This pack contains naval units for the US Navy, Royal Navy (BPF) and Imperial Japanese Navy.

Essex Class CV (SCB-125) - by 3W; stock carrier. Yes, I know it's the wrong deck shape. This Modded data.ini allows for WW2 usage -IT HAS NO DEFENSIVE ARMAMENTS!!!-and -THAT- needs fixing!!!
Akakazie class DD - total stand in! based on Geo' Kriegsmarine DD
Nagara Class CL - mod of Hinch' Foch
Unryu Class CV - mod of HMS Eagle
Zuiho Class CV - tweeked version of Hinch's orginal
Ise class BB - from HInch
Fuso class BB - from Hinch
    Nagato Class BB - HInch
Fletcher Classs DD - Grinch's original release, with some SF2NA tweeks. Does =NOT= cause game to lock/crash. Useable in all eras.
Cleveland Class CA - "CL-83" from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc)
Atlanta Class CL - from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc)
    New Orleans CA (aka 'Astoria')
Enterprise6 - ???? (aka: Yorktown Class CV) from the original PTO WW2 terrains releases
Indepencence Class CVL (mod of Zuhio)
    Casablanca Class CVE (Hinchs' MAC)
    Benson class DD (USN_DD)
    New York Class (Texas)
    Nevada Class BB
    Tenessee Class BB
    HMS Victorious CV
    Renown Class BB (aka: "Repulse")
Tribal Class DD (rebuilt from Daring)
Leander/Dido class CL - rebuilt from Foch

Make sure you have the WW2 Nations ini that includes the IJN. It's available at the following URL:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/13095-ww2-nations-formations-inis/

It should be noted at this time, I am NOT a Naval Archeitect, and pretty much all these ships need SOMEBODY to go through them and add the 2ndary and Tertiary AAA batteries - expecially the Cruisers, Battleships, and stand-in Destroyers.
Included are the ships sounds wavs, and my SoundList.ini. If you have an extracted soundlist, just edit your existing one to add the 2 sounds.

It's also advisable to have the WW2 Guns pak, as it includes the Naval Artillery. It's available at the following URL:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/13268-guns-pak-for-ww2-mods-folders/
However, some new guns ARE included for the RN boats (by YeYe).

Some terrain mods that allow for CVBG usage will be released as soon as I finish testing, and making sure all the original defects (unflattened airfields, etc) are corrected.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Where possible, and if I still had them, original readmes are included.
Reminder: a lot of these vessels are really old (2004/05), and therefore do NOT have multiple main gun installations or secondary/tertiary batteries; those that do, have been jiggered into being, and =DO= need further tweeking. Due to their age, "they are as they are". Of course, if someone wants to build new ones.....<grin>

With thanks to ALL our Shipbuilders!!

  15. SF2I DLC 28 IDFAF S-199 Mule Tweek Pak

SF2I DLC 28 IDFAF S-199 Mule Tweek Pak

    = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED + DLC 28!)

*Designed for use in the standard/stand alone SF2:I Mods folder (suggested usage)*

**IF you do NOT have DLC 28, do not download this mod. It will be of no use to you
    whatsomeever**

This pak contains some "quick and dirty" mods for the S-199 "Mezek" (or Mule) recently
    released in DLC #28

Now a flyable aircraft, with the included cockpit. 25 Historicaly accruate serial number
decals, and NEW SF2 style Hangar and loading screens in my World Famous Box Art Style
    ™.
Loadout has been adjusted to add the 300 ltr drop tank, a different pilot figure,
AvHistory Jumo engine sound. Canopy activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke,
Shift/0. FM remains "as issued". See "Changes" in the Note section below for more stuff.
Also included is my "One Click Restore" (patent pending) main ini for when it becomes AI-
    only again.

    When in-game, you'll see

    S-199 (3W)

on the aircraft selection drop-down menu. This will differentiate it from the S-199 by
MontyCZ (an excellent mod, btw!), in case you may have that one as well. If you DO have
Monty's, you may want to rename it's folder and main ini to further differentiate it.
Otherwise you WILL experience conflicts/problems/issues/and assorted troubles.

As always, other improvements and changes/fixes are welcomed! As I said above, it's just a
Q&D mod to get them flying so others can help out with any needed/wanted/whatever tweeks
    and fixes.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE
    read them!!!

  16. SF2NA A-6E TRAM "Libyan Intruders"

    SF2NA A-6E (TRAM) Intruder, VA-34,VA-55,VA-85 Early Lo-Viz Skin/Decals Pack    2/15/2018
    = For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the A-6E_79 (aka: TRAM)*
3 new skins for the 3W A-6E_79 Intruder that depict the 3 squadrons that participated in the
"Freedom of Navigation" exercises in the Gulf of Sidra during 1986, and subsequent strikes
against various Libyan targets (El Dorado Canyon).
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE.  All serial (BuAerNums) are correct as they
are for the A-6E, but should be considered Generic (tm) in nature, not representing specific
aircraft in any particular squadron. In fact, all 3 skins use them as a 'pool' of decals.
The Default Start Date switch is used on this skin, so in 1983, you should see only these. The
skin maps are new; The aircraft is finished in the 2-tone Compass Ghost Grey over Medium Grey
scheme, with subdued markings (black and light grey). The skins are in jpg format.
    The aircraft are:
    VA-34 Blue Blasters, USS AMERICA
    VA-55 Warhorses, USS CORAL SEA
    VA-85 Black Falcons, USS SARATOGA
As these are 'stock' squadrons in the 3rd Wire listing, Level=1 decals are used to activate the
squadron name display. This should make it easy for campaign builders to use them in user-made
campaigns or single missions (like on Menrva's new Libyan terrain).
Please note, =NOTHING= is included that makes the aircraft flyable; no inis, cockpit parts (I
use the Razbam payware pit on my A-6E & A-6E TRAMs). You should have made them flyable or need
to seek the "parts" on your own.
Also, if you have made it flyable, and use the "Read Only" trick on the main ini (A-6E_79.ini),
you'll have to un-read only it to add this skin.
While specificly designed for the A-6E_79, this mod =should= be compatible with the A-6 Intruder
MegaPack by Homefries; the skins use unique squadron named folders and should not conflict or
interfere with it (even though said squadrons also exist in his pack, as Level=1 statments,
selectable from the Squadron Dropdown on the Loadout screen). Please note the "1983" start date
is an arbitrary year, based on my research as a "best guess".
On the Loadout Screen, for skin selection you'll see:
    VA-34 Blue Blasters (2-Tone 1983)
    VA-55 Warhorses (2-Tone 1983)
    VA-85 Black Falcons (2-Tone 1983)
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read
    them ....

  17. SF2NA A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79") Skin Pak 1

    A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79) Skin Pak 1

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =

Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-6E_79 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA, DO NOT download this mod, as you will =NOT= be able to use it.

The skin pak is designed to be used with my A-6E_79 Upgrade/Fixit/WhatHaveYou Pak, located here at CA at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/12760-3w-a-6e-tram-upgrade-kit/

The shins herein are conversions from the 1stGen A-6E Tram by MontyCZ. I'm really not sure who created the original skins/decals, but suspect it may have been Paul Nortness. The Lo-Viz skins are new creations, from the TRAM template I created a few weeks back, and the stock 3W Gray/White skin is used for VA-128, so =ONLY= the decals are being reused.

The skins in this pak are:

    =Standard GullGray/White:

    VA-128 "Golden Intruders"

    =In Lo-Viz:

    VA-42 "Green Pawns" (called VA42lo)
    VA-52 "Knight Riders" (called VA52lo)
VMA-533 "Hawks" (called VMA533lo) as seen during Desert Shield/Storm when based in Bharain.

There is no "StartDefaultDate=" line for the Lo-Viz skins, as yet. When more have been created/converted, then it's suggested to add that line to the textureset inis with the date of 1985. That's a fair apporximation of the transition. For now, you'll just have to
select them from the drop down on the loadout screen.

Some of the decals have been modified from their original form to give a better 'fit' on the 3rd Wire model. To that end, some will notice the checks on the rudder for the Hawks is a seperate decal, whereas it was a single piece before. For the "Knight Riders", I've tried as best as possible to get the notch on the knight's helmet to line up with the position light (same as in Real Life; the light represented the Knight's eye).

Decal Randomization is set to TRUE, but be advised of some oddities; these may be caused by the lack of a full squadron's numbers (TK has always reccomended a minimum of 18) or something odd induced by NA or 3/2012 patch. I personally suspect it's the lack of numbers.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them before installing!

  18. SF2NA A-6E TRAM VA-176 Skin/Decal Pak

    SF2NA A-6E TRAM VA-176 Skin/Decal Pak                  1/24/2018
    = For SF2NA (Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
    * Designed for SF2:NA, but can be used in any install (full 5 merged) that has access to the A-6E TRAM Intruder (aka: A-6E_79) *
This package contains 1 new skin in lo-viz TPS for the A-6E TRAM Intruder, that comes with SF2:NA. This package represents:
VA-176 "Thunderbolts" embarked aboard USS INDEPENDENCE with the 6th Fleet (Med)
The skin maps are in jpg format. Decal randomization has been set to "TRUE". 25 new Modex and serial numbers (BuNums) have been created for this mod. BuNums, while correct for the A-6E, should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they do not represent any specific aircraft within any given squadron. All markings are decals. However, it should be noted nothing to make this AI plane flyable is included. Other mods provide the necessary instructions and "parts".
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  19. SF2NA E-2C Hawkeye Upgrade Pak

    SF2NA Nor/Grum E-2C Hawkeye Upgrade Pak

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Reccomended and/or SF2:NA ONLY! =

REMINDER: you MUST have SF2:NA to access the the E-2C. If you do not meet this minimum requirement, do NOT download this mod, and you'll not be able to use it

This pak is a compilation of the 5 skins now available, and adds several new and/or tweeked inis, including a cockpit, that make this aircraft Player Usable. Importantly included is my (Patent Pending) "1 Click Restoration Main Ini", for when the aircraft reverts to AI controled after patching or DLC installation.

    The skins/decals included are:

    601 Hikotai, JASDF
    VAW-112 (renamed from it's 'USNGray')
    VAW-121
    VAW-123
    VAW-124

The cockpit supplied is a very slightly modified version of the S-3B Viking. New avionics and data inis are supplied. Mods to the data ini add manually folding wings (use the Usual Suspect manual animation key, Shift/9), and all lighting positions have been corrected, and other running lights added as needed. Wingtip position lights will now 'move' with the wings when folded. Landing lights have NOT been added.
A new turbine engine sound, borrowed from Del's C-130s is used, and supplied as well.
New Hangar & Loading screens are included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

  20. SF2NA WW2 Okinawa/Japan Terrain Update

    SF2NA WW2 Okinawa/Japan Terrain Update

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (ONLY) =

*This mod will absolutely =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs; it is designed for use =ONLY= in a WW2 PTO-centric mods folder that is built off the SF2:NA exe.*

A very quick and dirty mod for the WW2 Okinawa/Japan terrain that adds the required NA "coding" and _water.bmp with carrier stations.

This is =NOT= a full terrain: just inis & a _water.bmp. It is to be applied to the modified version of the terrain I (re)relased in 2009, avaliable at this URL:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/9767-okinawajapan-version-3-ww2/

New main, data, targets, nations, types inis and a new HFD, along with (excessively) modified desert airfield inis, allow for a 'drag-drop' update to SF2NA. A new SF2NA style water bmp with 3 carrier 'zones' was created and included.
LimitedNations is set to TRUE; make sure you have the latest version of the WW2 Nations ini, as 'IJN' is most definatly one of the nations needed.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, PLEASE read them for necessary instructions. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

REMINDER: if you're downloading the original terrain listed above for the first time, DO NOT USE the enclclosed Ship GroundObjects (perhaps, excepting the LCM and _T taged ships and the 2 Forts/Gun Emplacements); they are NOT at SF2 levels. Use only those ships from the SF2 WW2 Naval Units Pak.

  23. Short Belfast C.Mk.1 for SF2

Short Belfast C MK1 for SF2 Series by RussoUK                   8/20/2020
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
This package contains a new aircraft, the Short Belfast RAF airlifter.
The Belfast was one of the largest turboprop aircraft ever built. Designed as a strategic freighter, its range and speed were however rather poor. The first Belfast was delivered to 53 Sqn. RAF in 1966. Ten served with the RAF; they were all withdrawn in 1976, with four continuing to operate with HeavyLift Cargo Airlines, Stanstead. HeavyLift ceased trading in Sept. 2002.
Converted from a Freeware Virtavia\Alphasim model by me RussoUK
Thanks to Kev aka The Wrench for assistance and the decals and ini work for this project. Some nice decs...Cheers Kev ole m8.
    Animations Keystrokes:
    Main Cargo doors: Shift_0 (zero)
    side Cargo door:  Shift_9
    Crewdoor:         Shift_8
All decals (aircraft names, serial numbers) are 100% historically accurate. There are 2 loading screen jpgs included, one for wide screen, the other for 'standard' (1024/768) screen. A simple text edit will swap them out.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.

  24. Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" (for SF2 WW2 PTO)

    Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" WW2 IJN Transport
    == For WW2 PTO SF2, Any and All, =WITH= SF2:I Expansion Pak1 ==

*Note: can be used in any PTO centric install, BUT you MUST have Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the stock 3W C-47A this is based on.*

This is a mod of the stock 3rdWire C-47A into the Japanese-built L2D, code named "Tabby" by the Allies. This mod also replaces my eariler 1stGen version, based off the DAT C-47, and reuses those very same decals.

The cockpit ini, whilst the standard Skytrain one, has been converted to metric measurments. ALL insturmentation labeling remains in English. A new nation has been added, and instructions for adding "IJN" to your WW2 nations ini are included in the "To Install" section. Although not required, it's an option

The aircraft has been reskinned in a redish-brownish color seen on many IJN aircraft, and represents aircraft from the 4th Kantai Transport Division (the only unit I could find references and tail codes for). Tail code decals for 18 aircraft are included. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).
Just another mod I had sitting on the HD, collecting stray electrons. Thought I finish it off, and get it out the door. Although of no practical use in-game, it will give you another parked aircraft to strafe.

  25. Skin Templates for F-80, T-33 & F-94

Templates for Pasko's F-80 'Shooting Star' and F-94 'Starfire'

These are Photoshop (psd) templates I created off the original skin bmps, with redrawn panel lines, rivets, and various and sundry other goodies. All credit goes to the original skin creator, who's name I cannot find having lost the original readmes that came with the aircraft. They are the same size as the original skin maps.
They should be usable for creating skins for the T-33 as well, with some slight modifications, mostly in the nose gun area (as the T-birds sometimes only carried 2 MGs, if any).

The template is broken down into various labeled layers to help you figure out what goes where. For those attempting skins for the T-bird, I'd reccomend creating a NEW layer for the section that houses the nose guns (body.bmp) by adding that skin map to this psd as a new layer.
You'll note there is NO "LeftWing.psd", as the right and left wings are mapped identically. After creating the left wing's skin map, all you'll need to do is a "save as" in PhotoShop or any other image viewer, LeftWing.bmp. This will create the new skin map, without all the hassle and HD space taking of having 2 different psds. There is NO difference in the mapping! Do not worry!! That's how I created the skins for the various P/F-80s and F-94s Ive released over the last couple of years!

    Happy Skinning!
