  1. American SouthWest - Ver 2.0

American SouthWest Terrain, Version 2.0 for SF/WoE/ WoV and probably WoI, FE and SF2

This is a complete rebuild of the terrain originaly released in Feb 2008. It has been completely retiled, and has had a MAJOR upgrade in the targetization. It is designed to COMPLETELY replace that original version. It has been fully updated to use in the post-patch world.

This semi-fictional terrain represents Southern Texas and part of Northeastern Mexico (Tampilas/Monterrey) region, along with part of the western Gulf of Mexico. I use the term 'semi-fictional', as for the most part, the cities and airfields are relatively close to their real life locations, but some fictional target areas have been added for playability. I've designed this to be used in the alternative world of the "Global Sedition" vs the "North American Alliance"; it is, however, usable in any era from 1940-2040, with minor changes in the targets and types inis.

This is a COMPLETE package, with everything needed to just unzip, install, and fly over. All the tiles are included, including several (ie: MOST) repainted to a more 'lush' version. All new TODs have been created, so you'll see lots of trees and small buildings, including the 'skyscrapers' from Polak's city tod. Almost all the original Desert tiles have been repainted to more closely represent the semi-tropical/minimally arid region of the Texas Gulf Coast. Several rivers have been added, and they, for the most part, follow their Real Life ™ courses across the region. The "look" of the terrain should be something between the stock 'Desert' and the overly green of say, Deuces Euro Repaint and/or the GermanyCE terrain. In other words, semi-arid, but with plenty of growing things.

It is reccomended (read: REQUIRED) that you have Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak installed in your GroundObject folder; either or both the Desert or Euro skinned vehicles, plus any additional vehicles such as Kesselbrut's ZIL truck pak, Infantry paks, Moonjumper's fix for the BM-14-16 (adds working Kytusha rockets) and any other SAMS or AAA, vehicles or whatever strikes your fancy. With such an 'open ended' time frame for use, any and all GroundObjects should be available for use.

It has been tested in SF, WoE and WoV, post 9/08 & 10/08 patch levels.. It should work in FE & WoI (also post Expansion Pak and Post Patch) with the correct cat pointer -- this has NOT been tested, however. It should also work in SF2, as long as you adjust the cat pointer lines in the main ini. Pre-patch users may have some issues due to the new way the Game Engine ™ reads/creates height field measurments. Enough data exists in the CA forums for find the anwsers on how to fix it, if needed.

As you've all come to expect, there's a HIGHLY detailed readme with all the "data and materials" necessary to get you up and running. I'd suggest reading it first, after unzipping to a temp folder somewhere

    Happy Landings!

  2. WW2 Tunisia/Western Med Update Pak

Tunisia Terrain & Targets Upgrade For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 MTO mods

This started out as a simple targets upgrade, and turned into a major rework of Edward's Tunisia Terrain for WW2. As you can expect, the targets have been greatly 'enhanced', with many additions, and most areas have been retiled for ease of targetization. The visuals (ie: the eye candy) has been enhanced by these revamped target areas. This will allow single mission and campaign builders more latitude in their creation of missions and campaigns. It also has the side effect of enhancing in-game generated single mission play, too!

This is a COMPLETE terrain, designed to REPLACE the original verison in it's entirety. It is also NOT compatable with any other terrain retiling or TOD mods to the original terrain that are presently available. All necessary parts are included; tiles, inis, LOTS of new terrain items, with the excpetion for some 'permission-only' GroundObject items. All new planning maps are also included. Also, there are at LEAST 3 Easter Eggs on the map. There are also several brand new tiles, and their associated TODs (new city ports and some other interestering items).

There ARE some historical flaws (and probably physical geographic ones as well!!); they are fully detailed in the "Notes & Explinations" section below. You may also experience extended or longer than usual loading times; this is normal due to the shear number of terrain objects on this map.

The data ini has been upgraded to the semi-latest standards (ie: 2006 patch level). Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". NOTE: this is NOT designed for the post-08 patch or SF2 "NextGen" series. The terrain's data ini does NOT have the new Height Data included!!! (however, that is easily added if you're familiar with the varous terrain data inis, and how to 'update' them).

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE WW2 WEAPONS PAK !! =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GEO'S WW2 GROUND OBJECTS PAKS!! MOST IMPORTANT!!! =

It has been tested in 06 Patch Level WoE (my WW2 install of choice), using the cat pointer line to all the Origianl 3 ™ Terrain Cats (Desert, GermanyCE and VietnamSEA). As most of the new terrain objects and tiles are residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post-08 SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI or any of the SF2 'NextGen' series; it is NOT designed for useage in those type of game installs. If you choose to do so, expect NO support from me -- you're on your own. Although, it should work pretty well in most case. Some data ini adjustments will probably be required for the additional effects. Consult the SF2 Knowledge Base at CombatAce for more information on "how to.."

As always, it's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder somewhere's thats easy to find. This will give you access to the rest of the readme for full, detailed install instructions and the Usual Notes and Other Ramblings...
Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It's =HIGHLY= reccomended you read this document completly through before installing this mod.

  3. AT-6G Texan "Mosquito FAC"

    North American AT-6G "Mosquito FAC"

for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI, Post 08 Patch Level and probably SF2/SF2:V

This is a mod of Bunyap's little T-6 Texan trainer into the AT-6G as used during the Korean War as the "Mosquito FAC"

This is a COMPLETE aircraft mod, with all the trimmings. There have been extensive edits to the data, loadout inis and a "new" cockpit. It is designed for use in the post 08 patch envrionments; in fact a couple of edits WON'T work without being in post 08 patch (movable rudder lights, fer example)

It has been totally reskined in a Natural Metal, more of a generic than any particular squadron, with all new Buzz Number and accurate Serial Numbers. I say 'accurate', as they ARE for AT-6G, but not from any particular squadron.

All the weapons supplied have been updated for this late game usage, and are supplied in the new 'folder style'. For SF2/SF2V users, a data ini for each weapon is included in each folder. (note: most of these propably already exist in the SF2 weapons pak. PLEASE check before installing, AND note the T-6_30cal_GunPod has been edited to make the guns shoot in the right direction)

A new blade-type upper antenna, with repositioned pitot tube, and set for use as a 'fake pilot' seat is also included (thanks to Ravenclaw!!). This is also usable for other nations that used the AT-6G in the COIN or FAC roles. New Hangar Screen, in the WoE style, allowing it's use in all the Classic Series ™ and SF2/2:V and a new Loading Screen are also provided.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

    Enjoy!

ps: yes, I know the anti-glare panel is 'off' in the screenie above; it has bee fixed. I was just too lazy to take another screenie!

  5. MiG-25PD Foxbat-E, Libyan AF

    MiG-25PD Foxbat-E LARAF Mod

    A Stand-Alone aircraft for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI

This package will create a complete 'nation specific' aircraft; the MiG-25PD as used by the Libyan Air Force. To make installation as simple as possible, EVERYTHING is included; the complete aircraft, cockpit folder (based off Paladrin's work, as included in the original Foxbat Pack), all the inis, skin, etc. New serial number decals have been created, using the best intell possible; some are speculative, but based from known sources. Included in the data ini are my lighting fixes, as seen on the CA Message Boards.

It is set up to use either of the weapons paks; the Bunyap Pak or Mirage Factory. If using the BunyPak, no additional work is required; unzip and fly away!

For those using the TMF Pak, I've included an alternate Loadout.ini, that using the same NATO style naming conventions for the Soviet/WarPac weapons (See Install Instruction below). The data ini is already set for "WP,SOVIET", so you should encounter NO problems in that respect.

As it is a complete aircraft, it also be usable in WoI, I've tested it in ALL iterations of the game, it works just fine. (See NOTES below for more)
For WoI users: If you haven't added the R-40 missiles, as per the WoI Loadouts Thread at CombatAce, you WILL be adding these, so get your Weapons Editor warmed up!! Remember -- use the WoI ONLY WepEditor!!!

Included are new Hangar and Loading screens; 2 Hangars actually, one is SF/WoV/WoE setup, and one for WoI.

PLEASE!!! read the enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions, and the usual Notes and Commentaries.

  6. Republic F-84B/C Thunderjet

Republic F-84B/C Thunderjet For SF/WoV/WoE and probably WoI

This little mod is a tweek to RussoUK's F-84E, with a new lod with the bubble-top non-reinforced canopy. It represents aircraft from the 59st FS, circa 1948.

Russo made the new lod for me several years ago, and this has been languishing on my HD for some time; I figured NOW would be a good time to finish it off and release to all you good folks!

The new skin, with redrawn panel lines (but no rivets - this was done before I learned how, and wasn't going back to add them!), Serial numbers are accurate, for B and C models. Squadron marking, the yellow color bands, are as close as I could match the few color photos I could find.

The auto-speed canopy has been disabled, as this no longer works in WoI (and by inference, when the SF/WoV/WoE patch arrives), but I somehow managed to fool the game engine by assigning it to the arrestor hook; so, the canopy will open when you hit the "H" key.

A new WoE-style hangar screen, and a new loading screen are also provided.

The loadouts are designed to work with the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06, but can be used with the Mirage Facrtory Pak. I've suppllied the necessary lods, bmps, inis and instructions for adding the older, WW2 style weapons to the TMF Pak. Also, for both, there is an edited version of Zur's F-86 drop tank, for use with this aircraft. So, get your Weapons Editors warmed up. For whichever version you wish to use, you'll still need to add the fuel tank (see Notes below)

It should be noted this is 1of 2 Thunderjet mods I'm releasing; an Historic version, this one, and a "What If..." for WW2: 1946. They are designed to be mutualy exclusive, and are available as seperate aircraft downloads. This Historic version would be a perfect addition to a 'Cold War Gone Hot: 1948' scenario. As is the other for a hypothetical WW2 that runs into 1947, or later.

As usual, PLEASE read the enclosed readmes; it'll make your life just that much easier. Etc, and so forth; blah, blah, blah, and so on!

  8. Templates for 3W Harrer GR1

Someone requested these, so I'm uploading them.

These are HomeGrown ™ templates, based off the original 3W skins, with redrawn panel, rivet lines and some weathering and staining. I've left all my layers intact, so you can use or not use whatever you like!

Standard photoshop PSD format. Mapping appears to be identical to the WoE AV-8A/Harrier GR.1 (I haven't really checked this, but it 99.999999999999999%)
no readme, as these are templates, and those that know how to use them, don't need a read me!

  9. 3rd Wire F-16A Netz Templates

Layered Templates for Stock 3rdWire F-16A "Netz"
These are the PSD templates that I created from the stock bitmaps for the Netz from SF2:I.

These are NOT hi-rez, but only 1024 x 1024 maps. You can experiment with upsizing, but I personally feel that 1024 is perfect 'in middle' size, that looses no detail in game, and will keep frame rates smooth. (after all, the game engine WILL resize to fit)

Feel free to make changes, repaint -the purpose of the upload- and correct any/all errors that I may have induced. Remember, folks, I ain't Sundowner, so things won't be as pretty has his!! (Ant being the Skinning Deity)

I've left ALL my 'working' layers intacat, so there's undoubtedly a bunch of stuff you won't be needed there. Also included are templates for the pylons and drop tanks.

  10. "What If..." 2011 MiG-21MFU (Upgrade), New Iraqi Air Force

"What If..." MiG-21MF(U), New Iraqi Airforce for SF2

    =For SF2, Any and All (but Full-4 Merged Prefered/Reccomended*)

*Note: should work in any install with access to the MiG-21MF lods. Which, iirc, are available in all versions*

While doing research for the "Operation Darius" mod, I came across some statments about rebuilding the New IrAF, possibly using upgraded/updated/rebuilt versions of many that were outside Iraq when OIF kicked off. This mod is the result, albeit beyond speculation, into the realms of pure fantasy.

This assumed (oh! that word!) that the GoI chose to refurbish 18 MiG-21MFs that were in Serbia in 2003 to modern 21st Century capabilities. Think along the lines of the Mig-21-93, Lancer or even closer, the HAL-built Bison for the Indian AF. These aircraft would be used for border security, in-country airspace control, ground support and martime strike. If required.

This aircraft has a modern HUD, TEWS, full avionics suite with multi-mode AA and AG radars, and a defensive pak with jammers and expendable decoys (ie: chaff and flares). It's speced/cleared for weapons of NATO, French and US origins, as well as being able to (re)use old Soviet/WarPac munitions. Offensive weapons mounts carry standard IRMs and medium range radar guided missiles (Magics and R-530F)
This mod also makes use of dtmdragon's 'generic' RWR listing, so make sure you have that installed and updated. As expected, the canopy operates via manual animation keystroke, the ever popular Shift/0.

All new serial numbers using the 2010-stle 'YI' codes have been created, as is the new IrAF insigina (same as the new flag). This is the same prefix code now seen on NIrAF C-130s, Cessna 182s, various helicoptors, and T-6A Texan IIs now in service.
2 versions of the insignia are included; one is full color, the other a Low-Viz version. It's set for the full color now, but you can switch it, if wanted, by a simple edit of the decals.ini.

No weapons are included (other than a "new" 2-IR mount); they are either stock, from pre-existing mods and/or reference those from the GunnyPak.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! The usual "Notes" section for other interestering details and stuff, explinations, and general musings and things.

    =For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 Merged Prefered/Reccomended)

Re-release of Veltro's F-12A Interceptor. This is the FULL aircraft, with pretty much everything needed. If you have the original release, it's advised you delete it and use ONLY the items supplied herein (been some changes, doncha know!).

This package also includes all the various 'tweeks' from my 2011 modification pak.
The skin has been converted to jpg, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
Weapons, sounds, pilot figures, etc, from the Tweeks Pak are included. And a NEW SF2-style hangar screen.

  12. SF2 "What If" Corsair Mk.V FAA Skin Pack

SF2 "What If" Corsair Mk.V FAA Skin Pack 3/30/2015

*For SF2 -ONLY-!! Full-5 Merged Reccomended*

This package contains 2 late service "What If..." skins for the RN FAA Corsair Mk.V recently released in the "KAW FAA What If Aircraft Pak". You can find the base aircraft at the following URL (and you'll need it to add these skins to):
    http://combatace.com/files/file/15387-sf2-kaw-royal-navy-fleet-air-arm-what-if-aircraft-pack/

Reminder: this is ONLY a skin/decal pak!
These 2 skins 'represent' FAA Corsairs in the post-Korean War time frame, up until the Suez Crisis.

    Units represented are:

813 NAS, HMS Eagle (crica 1953-55)
830 NAS, HMS Eagle (1956 -with Suez War Id bands)

Both aircraft are finished is standard FAA dark grey uppers/sky sides and unders.
The SF2 date switch is used for both skins; 813 activating post-Korea, and 830 activating for the Suez War. Both use the same pool of decals. All markings are decals. Decal randomization is set to "TRUE"
Included also is the Mk.5 rocket rack, with corrected End of Service date. This will replace the one in the original package listed above (sorry about that!).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, as usual, give the "Notes and Comments" section a read, too.

  13. SF2 Avro VZ-9 Aerocar Pak

    SF2 Avro VZ-9 Aerocar Pak 10/15/2015

= For SF2 (Any & All, Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)

A "What If" aircraft for you enjoyment.

** Can be used in any install that has access to the A-4B & A-4E Skyhawks hence the need for either a Full 4 or Full 5 Merged Install, as both these cockpits are refrenced for the 2 aircraft. Also, serial number decals from the CF-104 and F-105D are used. You must have these aircraft to gain access to the various bits.**

Some reworking of Simon Porter's Avro Aerocar from 2005, brings it (pretty much!) up to SF2 standards. Be advised, however, there are still a few small issues; most of which stem from the fact the aircraft is one continious mesh, with no sub meshes. This is the main reason that most markings are painted on. See "Change Log" for details.

This pack contains 2 aircraft, and is based on the assumption (oh! that word!) the major bugs had been worked out, and it entered service with the RCAF and USAF for use as a battlefield scout and light attack aircraft.

    Aerocar Mk.I (VZ-9A) with 2 skins (1959 start date):

    RCAF
    USAF
    both in NM finish

    Aerocar Mk.III (VZ-9C) with 4 skins (1965 start date):

    RCAF
    USAF (both early, in NM)
RCAF_L (late, overall dark green ala CF-104)
USAFCamo (USAF Camo SEA T.O. 1-1-4)

The 2 late skins the C use the SF2 "date switch" and will turn on in 1966 (USAFCamo) and 1973 (RCAF_L).

All stock items are used, from cockpits, pilots, weapons, sounds, decal and whatnots. The other add-on items (fake pilot, radar pod, pylons) are included. While skins remain in bmp format, damage textures are in DDS.

When in-game, you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Drop-down...

    VZ-9A Aerocar (Mk.I)
    and
    VZ-9C Aerocar (Mk.III)

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Simon Porter's original readme is included for historical purposes.

  14. SF2 NAA B-45B Tornado "Gunship" What-If by Veltro2k

    SF2 NAA B-45B Tornado "Gunship" What-If Pack by Veltro2k      3/27/2021
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
    "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the release of a "What If..." variant of the North American B-45B "Tornado" light jet bomber. This version is totally fictional, but the model itself is based on some modifications performed on a few "C" models (ie: the solid nose).
This aircraft represents those as if they had entered service with the 84th Bomb Squadron of the 47th Bomb Wing. Historically, all bomber versions only served with the 47th in it's 3 squadrons.
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are spurious, but are taken from another aircraft (also a bomber) of the same year vintage. There are 12 serial/buzz numbers. Squadron color markings ARE historically correct for the 84th.
All necessary parts have been provided, with one caveat. The Mk.7 (61kt) nuclear bomb does =NOT= include the nuke explosion effect. As there are several around, you End Users (tm) may need to do some editing/renaming. I use the one from the Gunny Ordinance Pack. Other weapons include under-wing 5" HVAR rockets & rails, GP bombs, and torpedos. There are 4 20mm cannon in the solid nose. Unfortunately, due to needing a real gunsight (K-14), the bombsight won't/doesn't work. You may have to 'glide bomb' or best guess it.
When in-game, you can identify this aircraft by it's Displayed Name on the aircraft Drop Down Selector. You'll see:
    B-45B Tornado (WI)
The "WI" standing for "What If".
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!! Also, please read the "Notes" for other info, "historical" notes and some operational suggestions.
    Happy Landings!

This is a modification of the stock CF-104_76 into a "What If..." CF-104S Super Starfighter of the Canadian Forces, Royal Norwegian Air Force, and Royal Danish Air Force. The mod is supplied with 5 skins, 2 of which are "generic" for Any Other Users You Can Think Of (tm).
CAFCamo - a 2-tone dark Euro style (no squadron affiliation)
RDAF - Dark Green Overall (Esk 726)
RNoAF - Light, "Air Superority Grey" Overall (Skv 331)
    For Other Users:
    Standard European 2-tone camo
    Standard "SEA" type 3-tone camo
All markings are decals, and the serial numbers are based off the CAF style post 1980s. 24 serials are supplied for each skin, excepting the Euro & SEA which share the same pool of 24 serials (which just happens to be historically correct CF-104 serials). Decal Randomization is TRUE. With the use of 'all decals' for markings, the 2 generic skins are easily re-badged for any other Friendly Nation (tm) that might have recieved these Super Zippers (see notes for more backstory). All skins have individual Hangar Screens. All are in jpg format.
This is a "full use" aircraft; it is speced for medium range missiles (Sparrow, Aspide, Skyflash), Sidewinders, and all manner of air-to-ground weapons. THis is a full strike fighter, minus the RCAF/CAF's nuclear mission for NATO. It's cleared for use with all NATO, UK and USAF weapons. Be advised, the DRAF/CF use the same anti-ship missile, while the RNoAF uses it's own Penguin.
Most weapons used are stock in-game items, excepting the "F104S pylon set". This has been edited to not conflict with the AMI or Turkish F-104S series. Other weapons are included; of these, all have had the 'end of service/export years' extended to at least 2045. All items have been included for ease of installation. Excepting those items who's LODs we can't access (cockpit!). Ini's do the trick. The canopy is also activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero).
As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. PLEASE read it!!!
    Happy Landings!

  16. SF2 Atlas Impala Mk.II by Marcfighters V2

    = For SF2, Any/All (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) =
This is the release of Marcfighters Atlas Impala Mk.2, single seat COIN/Attack jet as used by the South African Air Force.
This aircraft has/had languished for a considerable amount of time in that "hangar of forgotten & unfinished mods". I hope that this will correct that.
This mod represents the Atlas Impala MK2, single seat attack jets. The mod uses all stock 3W weapons (which may need further research/adjustments). 25 all new historically correct SAAF serial number decals are included, and Randomization is TRUE These decals are used for both included skins. This is the SAAF -ONLY-, non exported version. No user list was created; the aircraft is single nation only. There are 2 skins, and "Early" and "Late"; the late uses the SF2-date switch and starts in 1982
    When in-game, you'll see
    Atlas Impala MK.II (MB-326K SAAF)
on the aircraft drop down selection panel.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. The Uploader takes NO credit for the aircraft itself, only for those edits and adjustment to get it more in compliance with the SF2 Environment (tm). See "Notes" section for full change log and other VERy important statements.
= Please Note: is models is released "AS IS". Anything that cannot be corrected/adjusted via ini edits will remain so for all time =
    Happy Landings!

** Important Note: if you install this to the Angola Mod, be advised that there exists an aircraft named Impala Mk.II. This should NOT conflict with it, but you may have some editing to do, as theirs is labeled "Stand In". It is not advised to just drop this one into that mod without further editing. **

    UPDATED: 3/7/2019
"Early" skin has been repainted to remove national markings. All have now been replaced with decals.

  17. SF2 WW2 French Fighters Pak

    SF2 WW2 French Fighters Pak

    = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!)

**Note: due to the extensive modifications to the cockpit and data ini, this mod will absolutely -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me.**

*Notex2: this package is a little on the heavy side, due to the inclusion of the skin templates for both aircraft*

This pak contains a reissue of Veltro2K's WW2 French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) fighter aircraft. These are the complete aircraft, with various/sundry changes.
This pak contains: (Note: the D.520 has been split into AdA and Vichy "Nationalized" useaircraft, in
    essence, 2 different birds)

    Morane-Saulnier MS.406
    GC 1/2 (BoF timeframe)

    Dewoitine D-520 (AdA)
    4 CG II/7 (BoF timeframe)

    Dewoitine D.520 (Vichy)*
GC III/3, North Africa (a bit 'generic' in nature- vichy)
GC II/3, Syria 1941 (Vichy French AF -vichy1)

*(This is the nationalized version. The aircraft folder is called D-520_V, and will display "Dewoitine D.520 (Vichy)" on the aircraft selection dropdown menu)
**Note: the Vichy D.520 resides in a seperate folder called "z--Vichy for MTO Installs". It is structured EXACTLY like the others, but without the Sounds, Pilots, Guns sub-folders. You will have to copy these twice***

Skins are in jpg format, and were created from a (patent pending) Home Grown Template ™. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. Some new decals were created, and NO pretense of historicality is to be confered) on them (see Note below). Damage textures are in DDS format.
BOTH templates are included for use by other skinners. Improvements/corrections are WELCOMED!
Weapons (ok, the French guns) are included.

All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package.
Ini tweeks include (but not limited to) "newish" flight models -which, as always need some further refinments by Experten (no, seriously! they REALLY do!! Please!! somebody buld better ones!!), replacement/repainted cockpits, new gunsights, and AvHistory engine sounds.
See "Changes" in the Notes section for more details.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total.

**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. They 'are as they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**

  18. 3rdW A-1J Skyraider, Skins and Ini Update Pak

A-1J "Skyraider" Skin and Ini Update Pak

    -- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:V =ONLY=!!!

This package contains inis, full skin and decals sets, a few weapons and a complete cockpit, to make the stock AI-only A-1J "Skyraider" flyable. While the cockpit is not 100% correct (or, more truthfully, close), it does have all the gauges working as they would be in a propeller aircraft. Until such time a a proper AD-7/A-1J pit arrives, this WILL have to suffice.

Ini edits include some enhanced AI statements, corrected ammo counts, fuel quantity, on-board countermeasures (chaff and flares for Vietnam era usage) the addition of the running/formation lights on the tail, a landing light, and a working canopy (use Shift/0 to open and close). Wingfold is NOT activated, due to odd movement and placement issues with the outer wing stores locations. At some point in the future, I'll try and get them dailed in properlly, so the wingfold will work and the weapons follow the wing.

A new 300 gallon drop tank has also been included, as the LOD lacks the nodes for built-in drop tanks as seen on other SF2 aircraft (even though called out in the data ini, it just ain't there!). And just for extra added enjoyment, the "Special Weapon", as used by VA-25 is also included. Yup, the world (in)famous Toilet Bomb.

A new SF2-style hangar screen, and a new loading screen are also included. All decals are new, with correct Modex, squadron codes and BuNums. It should be noted, that in Vietnam era squadrons (and possibly before) most Skyraider units used a mix of AD-6/7 (or A-1H/J after 1961), so these may not be fully historical, as the BuNums reflect only the one type (AD-6 or A-1H) per squadron. But the BuNums ARE 100% accurate for the models they indicate; and in the cases where photos or profile were available, the actual aircraft represented.

Skins included in this set are:

VA-25 "Fist of the Fleet", USS Coral Sea, 11/1966
VA-115 "Arabs", USS Kitty Hawk, 3/1966
    VA-145 "Swordsmen",USS Intrepid 9/1967
VA-152 "Wild Aces", USS Oriskany, 8/1965

The new "A-1J.INI" has been edited to move these new skins to the top, and the original 3W "USNGray1" and "USAFCAmo1" to the bottom, making it easier to select the USN/USMC marked skins.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires, to make it a LOT easier to install.

  19. SF2 A-1J Skyraider VA-115 Camo Skin

    SF2 A-1J Skyraider VA-115 Camo Skin 11/30/2015

= For SF2V (or Any & All at Full- Merged) =

*Note: must have SF2:V as part of your merged install to access the A-1H aircraft itself.*

This skin/decal pak represents VA-115 "Arabs" during their Oct 1965-June 1966 deployment in South East Asia aboard USS Kitty Hawk. It represents the experimantal 2-tone green camoflague use during that cruise. It should be noted, sources only point to 3 aircraft actually being painted such, but I've given you a full 12 aircraft squadron.

The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. I've also included a new, fully updated data ini, that has all the corrected lighting and so forth. Canopy and wingfold operation are the Standard Keystrokes (shift/0 canopy, shift/9 wingfold). Be advised, folding the wings with ordanance loaded, the items don't move with it. Also included are new sounds for flaps, gear and engine.
The skin uses the SF2 "date switch statement" that will (hopefully!) turn it on in October 1965.
What is NOT included are the cockpit or other items that make it flyable. You should have these already. If not, what are you waiting for???

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  20. JASDF F-86 Sabre Skin Pak

    JSADF F-86F-40 Sabre Skin Pak

    =For SF2 & SF/SFG/WoV/WoE and maybe WoI @ 08 Levels and above=

Something to fill the gap for early usage by the JASDF, from it's formation in 1954, until the mid/late 1960s when the F-104s began replacing them.

You MUST have the F-86F-40 installed first, before installing these skins (duh!). Although all Zur's Sabres are mapped identically, these are for the F-40 variant, and NOT the standard or garden variety F-86F (although the JASDF DID use/build a lot of F variants)

The 4 JASDF Squadron represented here are:

    1 Hikotai
    3 Hikotai
    6 Hikotai
    8 Hikotai

While designed with SF2 installs in mind (this was tested in my full-4 merged), it can also be used in 1st Gens, with some minor editing. I've suppled a 'blank' SF/Wo* F-86-40.ini (blank meaning it has no textureset listings), and full instructions for use in 1st Gens, found down below in the "To Insall" section. Be advised, I no longer mod for 1st Gen Series, excepet for WW2 (and I'm trying like crazy to get THEM updated...), so if you can't figure it out...

All have accurate serial numbers assigned, as per squadron (rated at 90%, as I couldn't find each and every one of the 18 A/C per squadron, so 1-3 are 'fill-ins'. Rest assured, however, they ARE correct either for NAA or Mistubishi/Fuji built versions). While the number.lst in included, it's been deactivated as for to keep you from running out of numbers while playing; what with only 18 aircraft per squadron, this is a VERY real possibility. It's easily reactivated by a simple rename. A 'generic' patch is included, also renamed to remove it. SF2 seems to have some kind of 'issue' with the paintchip/patch, in that it shfits the squadron selextions in the dropdown to the left a bit, making it hard to read.

For SF2 only, there are a new SF2 style plane-jane Hangar Screen, a new avionics ini that activtes the gun ranging-only radar (puts the yellow diamnomd on the target when within range),a =very= incomplete UserList.ini, and an extra main ini for SF/Wo* 1st Gen usage. The avioinics.ini =NOT= usable in SF/Wo* 1st Gens, except with the possiblity of WoI with the new Suez Expansion Pak. This has =NOT= been tested, as I don't have the WoI Expansion.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, highly detailed, step-by-step install instructions. For those wishing to install to 1st Gen games, =PLEASE= make double damn sure you read the special section for you. I've tried to keep it as simple a possible, while covering all bases.

It is HIGHLY suggested you read this document through before installing the mod, to make sure you understand what's to be accomplished.

  21. SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak

    SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak 2/7/16

    -- For SF-2, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is to be applied to the "F-86F-40 Remod Pak", available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13788-sf2-f-86f-40-sabre-remod-pak/

It is also advised, if/when installing both the original Remod Pak and these skins in SF2:E you =MUST= remove any/all other skins for non-European based users (such as JASDF, IIAF, EtAF). This will preclude any "oddites" that you might see over The Continent. See "Notes" below for more information on the included data and loadout inis.
In other words, this is a European-centric skin/decals/ini package only!!

In this package are skins for Sabres from the 50th FWB, USAFE, in the mid-1950s ...

    10th FBS
    81st FBS
    417th FBS

also a remoded/corrected version of the...

461st FDS, 36th FDW (corrected FDW)

skin/decal ini with 'fixed' tail skin, and corrected Wing affiliation in the texture set ini. Also, a "Level 1 decal" has been added, activating the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen. When installing, just allow the overwrite for this skin.

I've been unable to run down exactly WHICH F-86F version was used by these squadron, so simply chose to use the F-40, given the time frame they operated them (1953-58-ish).
As all the Sabres are mapped the same, can be used for any of the F-86F variants. However, if NOT using this on the -40 model, do =NOT= use the included data ini!! (but you can copy the changes, which are the 1950s pilot figure and 'steerable nose gear' callouts)

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the nose color bands for the 50th FBW birds. Tail bands are decals, at Level=1, and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen (these are stock units,
listed in the game's SquadronList.ini). All skins use a "pool" of serial Serial and buzz numbers; while these should be considered 'generic' in nature, are for the variant depicted. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format.

As well as a slightly tweeked data ini, a new "USAFE only" style loadout ini is included. . REMINDER -- this loadout ini is =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information on the 2 inis included!
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.
Just so we're clear on everything, this is for use in Europe (SF2:E) ONLY!!!

    Happy Landings!

  22. SF2NA E-2C Hawkeye Upgrade Pak

    SF2NA Nor/Grum E-2C Hawkeye Upgrade Pak

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Reccomended and/or SF2:NA ONLY! =

REMINDER: you MUST have SF2:NA to access the the E-2C. If you do not meet this minimum requirement, do NOT download this mod, and you'll not be able to use it

This pak is a compilation of the 5 skins now available, and adds several new and/or tweeked inis, including a cockpit, that make this aircraft Player Usable. Importantly included is my (Patent Pending) "1 Click Restoration Main Ini", for when the aircraft reverts to AI controled after patching or DLC installation.

    The skins/decals included are:

    601 Hikotai, JASDF
    VAW-112 (renamed from it's 'USNGray')
    VAW-121
    VAW-123
    VAW-124

The cockpit supplied is a very slightly modified version of the S-3B Viking. New avionics and data inis are supplied. Mods to the data ini add manually folding wings (use the Usual Suspect manual animation key, Shift/9), and all lighting positions have been corrected, and other running lights added as needed. Wingtip position lights will now 'move' with the wings when folded. Landing lights have NOT been added.
A new turbine engine sound, borrowed from Del's C-130s is used, and supplied as well.
New Hangar & Loading screens are included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

  23. SF2 F2H-4 Banshee Tweeks Pak -for Razbam Banshees

SF2 F2H-4 Banshee Tweeks Pak -for Razbam Banshees 4/12/2015

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

***PLEASE NOTE: You must have the original Razbam Payware Banshee set for all the necessary items!!! If you can't purchase the item from the Razbam Store, do =NOT= download this mod; it will do you NO good. This package =ONLY= includes those items modded by me.***

This package contains a few (partly) repainted skin maps for the original skins. They now carry decals for Modex and BuNums.
These are =ONLY= for the F2H-4, as used in the mid 1950s through early 1960s by the USN and USMC.
Included are new decals, decal inis, number lists, etc. The repainted skin maps for the 2 original skins are:

    Fuselage_t
    Main_t
    Wing2_t

You'll find all these items in their appropriate skin subfolders.

You are also getting 2 brand new skins, for the "early" paint schemes. They are:

    VF-114 (NM)
    VMF-533 (DGNB)

This was done because the 2 original skins are for AFTER the switch to Gull Grey & White. The aircraft operations years predate this, and these skins were needed for histerical accuracy.
These 2 skins carry no painted on marking, other than the star-and-bar (and the fin top color for VF-114), making it a fairly easy proposition for other texture artists to create other units via decals for CVG letters or Modex numbers (and painting out or changing the color of the fin topper).
Skins remain in bmp format. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. All aircraft use a "pool" of BuNum decals. VMF-533 uses the same numbers, but residing in their own folder, as they are white in color. The BuNum decals, while correct for this model, should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent only the aircraft itself, not specific aircraft in any particular unit.
National insignia, and CVG code letters remain painted on for the originals.
The SF2 'date switch is used for the gull grey/white skins, activating them in 1956, for their respective services. The other 2 early skins will show when years BEFORE 1956 are selected.

Modified data, loadout, and main (F-2H2.ini) inis are included. The cockpit ini has had a few small adjustments, as has the data ini (see "Notes" for more information). A new SF2 userlist.ini has also been created. Operational dates (including export start and stop) have been adjusted to 'closest year'.
A brighter gunsight tgs is included as well. Shadows have been turned OFF, due to 'tractor beam' issues. NEW damage tgas are supplied as well.
It may be advisable for you to back up ALL the original inis, just for safetys sake (read: DO IT!!).

    When in game, you'll see

    F2H-4 Banshee (Raz)

on the aircraft selection drop down menu.

The aircraft is carrier-capable (after a fashion) with SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'.However, as the wings do =NOT= fold, you will probably NOT see them parked on the boat. More information in the "Notes" section.
The Standard Animation Keystroke ™ is used for the canopy, (Shift/0)
No weapons are included, using all stock in-game itmes. Nor are sounds, pilots, etc included. These are Razbam copyright items, and are included in his package. Those End Users ™ that have NOT updated their pilot to the SF2 folderized standard, should do so soonest.
Further work is required by those FM Gurus to bring it all the way home. I've done what I can with it.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them BEFORE installing (but after unzipping, of course). Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. It, as usual, contains important operational information.
Full credits are listed in the usual place, down with the "Notes".

  24. SF2 Korean War Era PLAAF/NKPAF MiG-15

*Note: You =MUST= have SF2:I Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the MiG-15. If you don't have it, downloading this mod will do you no good, as you won't have the aircraft it's intended for*

A small reskin/decal mod for the stock 3W MiG-15 (no suffix) Fagot-A, in PLAAF markings of the 72 GvIAP. Which we all know, of course, was "actually" North Korean, flown by "advisors" from the Soviet Union <grin>.
It represents the first operational PLAAF/NKPAF Squadron for the MiG, which scored the first air-to-air kills against UN forces in Korea.

Skins maps are in jpg format, decal randomization is TRUE.

Included are modifided data, loadout and main inis (along with my PatentPending 'xMiG-15.ini' that allows for easy restoration to flyable status, after patching or game-generated random re-writes). A 'new' seat and my 'PilotER' figure are included, as well as new sounds. Stary's cockpit as well is here for you flying pleasure (with a repainted gunsight tga for those of us with Old Eyes ™). A Hangar screen is NOT included. The canopy opens via the Usual Suspect ™ keystroke, Shift/0.

  25. RAAF Meteor F.8, 77 Squadron

    Meteor F8, RAAF, 77 Squadron Skin/Decal Pak
    - For SF2, Full-4 Merged Installs =WITH= Expansion Pak 1 (REQUIRED!) -

As stated above, you MUST have -at the very least, SF2:I and Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the Meteor F8. If you do NOT have these minimum requirements, Do Not Download this Mod, as you'll be unable to use it.

This pak contains a skin a decal set replicating Meteor F8s from RAAF 77 Squadron, 1951-ish time frame, during the Korean War. The serial numbers are 100% historicaly accurate for
those airframes assigned 77 Sqdn during Korea. Number randomization has been activated, so make sure you're at LEAST at the June, 2011 patch level. Three historical Korean-Era nose arts are included. They are 'name listed' next to their serial numbers, selectable from the drop-down on the Loadout Screen.

Several inis are also included, as I've made some changes to loadouts (making sure the belly tank is ALWAYS loaded), data ini and year-adjusted Userlist ini. The data ini also as the canopy activated; as usual, use Shift/0 to open and close it.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....Also, it's advisable to read the "Notes" section for important comments, other instructions and general rambling.
