  1. It depends on both. Sort of. Windows XP supports DX9 max, so to see DX10 features the player has to run Vista or Win7 and have a DX10-capable GPU.
  2. TK said somewhere that under DX10 he can just tell the system he wants to use a particular GPU feature and DX will sort it out. Under DX9 he has write code for each feature both used and not used, depending on whether user's GPU supports it or not.
  3. Вышла First Eagles 2 http://www.thirdwire.com/project_fe2.htm Та же First Eagles Gold (т.е.
  4. Works for me both with TIR 4 and TIR 5 software. Hardware is TIR4. FE2 is recognized simply as yet another TW sim.
  5. Those were textures which were automatically applied when the date was right.
  6. No, TK didn't include any stock terrain tiles for seasons other than summer. Cambrai in November is still green :( I bet mods can fix it.
  7. Pity that seasoned terrain tiles didn't make it into the release On the other hand, having a new terrain engine in the works, TK probably just can't be arsed to update obsolete landscape
  8. Try setting antialiasing to 0 I'm running and install of FE2 on EEE 1000H with Intel GMA 950 on medium settings and it's quite playable.
  9. These bump samples look more like the proof of concept. Now they can be done, but I wonder for how long TK will spend resources on making both skins with shadows painted on (DX9) and full bump-maping (DX10).
  10. OK. It seems T no longer lock onto friendly planes. Yay!
  11. Not all of them are pure bump - I fly DX9 and still have some lines I think. I'll have to go DX10 to see more shaders... Especially after learning how many people already have - Steam surveys are real eye-openers. quack, GF9100 seems like the weak link.
  12. Well, under DX9 it's still same ol' FE Gold. With plane wreckage and mission saving.
  13. I think this one shows more. Look at MG and wing ribs http://www.thirdwire.com/images/fe2_18.JPG Now TW skinners will have to remove all prepainted shadows
  14. http://www.thirdwire.com/project_fe2.htm ... OK, who asked for "Save mission for refliyng" feature? You got it! NEXT!
  15. TWS mode on stock TW F-15A does the IFF scan. But, man, is it slow. First sweep gets position, second gets movement data, the third one gives IFF markers and then you can go on ramapage before you run out of missiles/fuel.
  16. Or Black Buck raids in real time, with realistic choice of facilities for the ultimate experience.
  17. A remake of this game could use it http://www.mobygames.com/game/amiga/rocket-ranger/screenshots
  18. It's getting closer http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=45654#p45654 But no date yet
  19. Why not simply pick the same squadron and see what they've got?
  20. Hey, it worked twice for us, why not for others?
  21. Remember those movies you liked as a kid but find kinda stupid now? Remember films that make no sense yet make it on TV every Christmas and Halloween? Remember series that sucked? Remeber cartoons that were simply weird? Remember Star Wars Christmas Special? There's a cure and it's laughter. Hours of it http://www.thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic
  22. Same as WoI expansion: Suez that's been announced ages ago.
  23. Greece? Finnland? + TK added a few lines to info page at FB Err.. nice name
  24. Have they announced iBalls yet?
