Ok I have been testing Tir5 and the 2 different ideas and here is what I found so far. The Track pro works alot smoother and did not tend to have as many wild mis-reads. This leads to means being able to track and enemy plane easier and not over react on movements. The Clip pro must be lighter than you had I guessing. Mine clips on my headphones easy and fast. Didn't even notice the weight at all. It will swivel now so you can kinda put in a few different positions. Only real problem withme is I do not like using headphones when im playing and you need them to make the clip pro attach right. I went to the military surplus store and found an old head mic set and no headphones. SO im going to take that and mount the Clip Pro on the side and use the old mic from the orig WWII and see if It will work on TS. I think the clip is worth it for the smoothness and more accurate. Its a wierd contraption to look at so don't let the wife laugh at ya when your wearing it

This is my 1st Tir setup. Its doing great and like Red Dog mentioned, Its all in the set up where the movement feels right. I have it set up much better now so its not causing the motion sickness thing

Ok I was a bit worried it might not live up to all the hype. But I was blown away the 1st tiem I started using the system. I just got it an hour ago and flew a few fast Missions and im amazed. Now all I need to do is find something else to use the Hat toggle for I am having some set up things to work up on head movement and how fast it responds/how far it moves in game. Makes me a bit dizzy when it moves around to fast. I will try and make it to the 7pm session but I may be a bit late aroudn 7:30-8pm

According to UPS my Tir5 bundle should be here tomorrow so I will be racing home from work to test it out properly.

Holidays are over so i should get to a narmal schedule pretty soon. I should be able to make it.

well I have the software installed and the stuff should be here tomorrow if UPS gets it right. If not monday should do it. I got it for christmas so they ordered it all and im just trying to see who has played with Tir5 alot and whats working the best. I was also wondering about the head set not being the same everytme as well. I may just run it using it w/o the pro clip as well and see how it goes. I am mostly worried about the amount of time it may take to get used to flying with it. I have alwys been a fan of cockpit only sims but hat switches just dont work well in a dogfight at least for myself. Also the use of body english as im flying may result in some strange views at times.... anyways... can't wait to stay up all night working to getused to it this weekend.

I have read through the help file here but I wqas wanting to know if anyone had the track clip pro that fits on the headset? I have one otw to me as a present and wanted to know any info about it. THanks

After I install the HitR expansion do I need to re do all the mad matt and Vasco patches or will still be working fine just as they are?

I haven;t got the new patch yet (HitR). If you need to test something I am around but im on a bit later than normal. I can be a test pilot if needed.

Well retail hell is upon us and im at work 6-7 days a week so no flying online for a few weeks. I may be able to grrab the expansion by then and maybe fly more after the 1st of the year. Some cool screens of the new planes would be cool if you all are doing some flying.

MP Then & Now. ( ) Im a newer player of about 4 months now but MP is what makes this game for me. Online glitches : (7) Mismatches seem to be an issue quite often. Jittering usually at the start of most encounters. Game freeze ismy peve..... I tired of being in the middle of a good DF and everything just stops. The jittering is a problem since I have been external covering one of the other pilots and I have seen the plane in front shoot and dmg the plane in the chase position. So there are issues with the jittering causing a few mis-kills on human pilots. Ease of joining MP games. (10) I think I have had one issue that was easily resolved with Duck when I first got online and smooth sailing ever since. Online hosts. (10) Not just the host, this is just a great group of fliers all around ! Types of MP missions being flown. (10) Just like flying the single player missions but way more fun. We use the game generated missions so we never know whats next. I think thats one of the great parts. Attitude and behavior of online players. (11) again.... I have NEVER been around anything other than great attitude when we all fly together. Come join us online and see how much fun the game can actually be with other pilots.

Sorry guys, I was going to try and make it tonight but im in retail and my 6pm job turned into a 9pm job but I made great money and sold some great gear to them so all is well. I am going to jump on now so any late hight players that are around can come fly a mission or two for the fun of it.

I got the same msg today when I logged on to TS. Did you figure out what to do yet Duck? I don't really see a way to add to address book and I am not real sure about adding an IP to my address book that I don't know who it is. Any info on this would be great.

Very sorry I did not get to fly sunday. I guess I should expect the holidays to happen but un-expected family is one of my pet peves.... Sitting around the house in my robe and cup of coffee... watching "Apocalypse Now" and then a knock at the door. THen I get the "hope ya don't mind us dropping by but we were in the area".... SO now im going from a nice sunday morning of flying with you guys to in-laws and 3 kids that want to go shopping for christmas. Next thing I know I am otw to the mall to go shopping with them for hours on end. Now thats over and we are otw home and it happens.... "hey lets all go out for dinner and a movie or something". Oh God take me now im thinking... The short endng is at around 9pm they leave and the wife isn't in a great mood either. She told me to go fly for a bit and she ran to the store and got us a bottle of wine and some cheese. We sat up and watched movies most of the night and turned off the phones and lights just in case someone tried to drop by again. I did see the pic of the take off and thats just a great shot. I will try and AVOID un announced visits this next week and maybe I can get with some of you this week to fly a few after work.
