Is that you John Wayne or is that just me...

I agree with some of the Comments though. I don't think the media should have published the guys Identity!...it puts him and his family at risk from reprisal -
Yep, in a few years, he will be forgotten...and so will his victims by all but those who knew them...and the cycle continues unabated

German Railway Map from 1910
UK_Widowmaker replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Don't forget the part played by Horses and Mules!...Railways are only good for delivering from 1 town to another...they were vulnerable too....Horses did all the Major hauling, and were dearly loved and respected by the Men who worked them! We owe a debt of gratitude to them imho (they even had Gasmasks for them)...The Top Brass often considered them more important than the Soldiers!!! -

A Twin gun on the Pup would be nice. But above all..A Pfaltz DIII that flew and fought properly would be most welcome!!! -

German's wouldn't be German's...if they weren't 'Dastardly'...... Have to admit though...it must spring from Childhood....the German's in my dreams, always flew Black Biplanes!! -
Is it just me, but I don't much like that sort of Orange Glow that extends about the same size as the victims aircraft when it's on fire. (just nit-picking) Also (thought for P4) it would be really cool to have to 'cock' your guns before entering combat...I am not on about animations....just non-firing Guns, until you press a key...and get the reassuring 'click click' as the hammers are drawn back...that would be cool...and teach you a lesson if you lined up a good shot, only to find you hadn't cocked your guns!

Great stuff...I am running out of Historical Skins to do now anyway...I have exhausted my 'Google images' to the point that there are none left! I am now resorting to stealing the ideas of skinners from other WW1 forums to feed my incurable lust to skin!!! (nice shot Olham btw) -

Nearly made me cry! In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University . On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day. Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man. Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter could not help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing, and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly. Probably wasn't the same f***ing elephant. This is for everyone who sends me those heart-warming b*lls**t stories.

I think there is much more involved in Arming, Aiming and Launching this sort of weapon system, than your average terrorist group would be able to figure out. It's one thing to fly a plane into a building...quite another to use this methinks.

Thanks Gepard...I was trying to figure out why I felt so uncomfortable with it..and you have just reminded me of why.

Well, it's only 12:15am here in the UK...So, I (think-hope) I am still reasonably awake enough to answer!...lol Firstly, before I continue, I should say that I agree with pretty much everything you have said, and I think you may have misunderstood me to a certain extent? I was only making reference to this particular incident... Not to fighting as a general rule. (although, I am quite seriously against Violence for the most part) but am adult enough to know that on occasion's it is justified. It's also natural for a man to want to protect his mate, provide for her (ie, housewife), have her take his name, and have her raise the kids while he goes out and provides and defends. That was the only comment you have made, that I disagreed with. There is no evidence, that Men and Women 'naturally' have those roles. They are 'adopted' roles of the past, yes...but are blurred more and more these days I am happily married, and don't feel those 'natural' feelings whatsoever tbh...it kinda sounds like an episode of the Flintstones!! The sort of 'Political correctness' that you mentioned however, I have no trouble agreeing with you...it is Left Wing Liberalism of the worst kind...and yes, we have exactly the same situations with the Police, Schools and Nanny State politics, that you have over there. I was surprised that it's as bad over there...I was under the mistaken impression, that it was a UK bum deal! So, all in all..... there's not a lot I can add really..... You have kinda pi$$ed on my Bonfire! And therefore, I shall bid you Goodnight, and thanks for the conversation...it's been enlightening and interesting

Oh, I agree Axgrinder...MP is good fun...but Capture the Flag belongs with FPS games I reckon?
