Question about shadows
Dels replied to Dels's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Ok, now you've lost me. What do you mean by "model over"? Do you mean build a new section of the model over the top? -
Question about shadows
Dels replied to Dels's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Thanks for the reply Julhelm. Does this mean that you are supposed to make the shadow from your highpoly LOD? Otherwise, how is it possible to match them? -
G'Day, My C-130H is finished, I just wanted to release it with a shadow file. The only problem is that the shadow has problems and I'm new to creating shadows so I need some help. I created the shadow using the 3rd LOD for the aircraft and it works fine, but there seems to be holes in the shadow as if those polys were missing in the model it was created from. However, the model is fine. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Thanks in advance. Dels

C-130J-30 Cockpit Ver 1.0
Dels replied to Dels's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
We'll see. It's not high on my priority list at the moment, but at least it's on it. Sorry to say, the C-130H will have a J model cockpit to start with for now. -

View File C-130J-30 Version 2.0 C-130J-30 As flown by 37 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force. VERSION 2.0 NOTES ----------------- This updated version of my original C-130J-30 has some changes to the model as well as the inclusion of a virtual cockpit. The main changes/additions to the model in Ver 2.0 were: - Added all the antennas and aerials to the top and bottom. - Added pitot probes either side of the nose - Moved the landing gear pods forward. (The old model didn't look "stretched" because the pods were too far back.) - Reshaped the tail and dorsal fin. (Also didn't look right) - Cleaned up the Wing/Fuselage interface. - Fixed the landing gear shock animation and made it so the rudder will turn the nose wheel on the ground. - Extended the cargo compartment inside the aircraft and added two new pallet and three vehicle positions. At this stage, the only vehicle you can load is the M38 jeep included in the game (so sorry, no chute animation). - Modelled the MAWS sensors on the nose and tail. - Modelled the damaged outer wing section. - Fixed the flight model to more accurately resemble that of a Herc. - Added two external hardpoints for external fuel tanks. - Fixed the texture mapping on the control surfaces. - New Hangar and Loading screen. I posted this over at Simhq, but for the benefit of those that don't frequent it... I am almost finished an upgrade of my C-130J-30 including a fully functional 3D virtual cockpit. Here are the upgrades with Version 2.0 and some pics... C-130J-30: New Cargo compartment: HUD: Cockpit: Once this is released, it will hopefully be closely followed by a C-130J and C-130H non stretched version.

Pilatus PC-9/A
Dels replied to Dels's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
The Texan II is slightly different to the PC-9/A (canopy, ventral fins etc.) I've never seen a cockpit picture of the Texan II but I guess it wouldn't be too different. Making a Texan II wouldn't be high on my priority list at the moment, but I wouldn't be totally against it. In the mean time, I'm sure someone would be happy to release a modified skin to make my PC-9/A look like a Texan II. -
