  1. Yes, all the planes are in the aircraft folder. I've switched things around and got it to work, but then other things don't. I just don't know enough about campaign structure to identify the problem.
  2. You're right. I finally figured out/remembered how to get the decals to show up. Like you said "*aircraftname*/*skinname*/D/*decalname* in the decal ini. That's the problem with having to leave the sim alone for periods of time. I foget how to do what I had done.
  3. It never worked for me. But as I hadn't found anyone else stating they had problems with this campaign, I assumed it was just me.
  4. Hi all, I'm in need of more expertise than I posses regarding MK2's older Red Falcon Korean War add-on campaign. This is just an add-on to the Gen1 Korean War mod campaign. It's an all-inclusive add-on that allows you to fly for the Soviet or Chinese air forces. It's just drag-and-drop into the corresponding folders. After adding this, the USAF, USN, USMC and RAAF of the original campaign still work fine. The new Chinese campaign works fine, too. But, the Soviet campaign CDT's. I've stared inside at the Campaign INI's till I'm cross-eyed. Didn't fix it. Since I haven't seen other people with this problem throughout a few different forums, I'm guessing it's something I have or don't have in my Korean War insatll, but I can't figure it out. Any help teaching me is greatly appreciated. Geary
  5. Bulldog, Thanks, but that apparently wasn't the problem. I tried it and it didn't work. But, I copied the decals out of the /D folder and pasted them into the Objects/Decals folder. Then took out the old path reference in the Decal.ini: For Instance: CHANGED THIS: FilenameFormat=77Sqn/D/weatherinsig TO THIS: FilenameFormat=weatherinsig And now the airplanes are no longer naked. Also, apparently most of the original decal.ini paths didn't include the airplane in front of the skin folder. Thanks for the effort, Geary
  6. Seems like I dealt with this a couple years back, but can't remember the fix. The SF1/Gen1 Meteor F8 has a few skins with the initial download file. The skins folders have D folders with the decals. The decals don't show up on the plane on any of the skins. This is in SFG. Can't remember what the fix was. (Keep forgetting to take my memory pills.) Been searching the site the last hour. Same problem posted for SF2 but different folder organization. Any help or point me in the right direction please.   7. I don't mind debt, I have life insurance. Besides, you Ordnance guys are just sitting around counting and polishing your bullets waiting for a war to start so you can do the work you get paid for. I'll give your ini tweaks a try and see how they work. It'll take a while for me to dechiper the changes. Wish there was a manual for what all the stuff in the ini's means.

    RE: Red Falcon Korean War add on

    I know this an old Gen1 add-on campaign but I've tried for some time to get it to work. My Korea install works fine with the original Korean campaign. I add this and it crashes the game when I try to start the Soviet campaign. The Chinese campaign works. Go figure.

    Any idea what causes the Soviet campaign to crash?

  9. I think I've learned some about adding/changing weapons via the aircraft data.ini and loadout.ini files, but then I try to use my new found psuedo-knowledge and I'm brought back to reality. I've been trying to get the Hellfire missiles to work in Del's great AH-64 Apache's and get it closer to the real loadout, but....   10. Thanks, Guys, Eighteen hardpoints does sound like a bit much, but still only allows four pylons to be loaded in the arming page. More info on this helo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AH-1Z_Viper rscsjsus05, I take it what you suggest changes the diametric size of the munitions? firehawkordy, Think maybe I'll copy over the AH-1W entries. Seems much simpler and I'm a simple kind of guy. Wrench, Will make the changes you suggest. Again, thanks for the help. Now, anyone know any good skinners to make some more appropriate skins for this bird?

  12. Wrench, Your questions always make me think. I think now I have a headache. But, I looked into the two ini files you asked about and saw this, "AllowedWeaponClass=RP,RCKT" at the first two weapons stations in the data.ini. So I changed it to this, "AllowedWeaponClass=EOGR,LGR,WGR,RCKT,RP," which was in some of the other weapon stations. Now I have many weapons available to me for the first set of pylons, but understand why it didn't allow all those. Gets abit crowded down there. So where do I go now to learn what all those 'Allowed' initials (EOGR,LGR,WGR,RCKT,RP) stand for so I can pick and choose which to allow? Thanks, Geary
  13. I have a helicopter that won't allow anything to be loaded on it's first pylon. The pylon shows up in the loading/arming screen but stays empty no matter what mission type is loaded. How do I fix the pylon so I can load weapons on it?

  15. rscsjsuso5, Thanks, the texture files needed to be renamed. They are in the download file incorrect. The Hind has color now. Wrench, Yes, there is a textureset.ini file but apparently that isn't the problem. The texture files in the download file are mis-named. Thanks, Guys, P.S. Either of you know where I can lean to activate helicopter main guns? I've a few in a campaign that don't fire. Lots of missiles, rockets, etc. But I always like to squeeze a few rounds into whatever's in front of me when I'm too close for anything else or out of the other weapons.
  16. I've converted most of Del's great SF2 AH-64 Apache for SF1 and somhow even have some weapons working on it, but can't seem to get the main gun to shoot. Anyone know how to do this? Also, I've seen numerous referenced here at CA to a SWOTL install/campaign. Is there such a thing? I can't find it in the download section. Any help on these items is greatly appreciated. Geary
  17. I installed the Mi-24P from here by Gepard. It requires the Mi24P-R0d.LOD file from Capun's original Mi-24, which doesn't have this file, or AllenJBs Mi-24 mods which does. I installed the AllenJB Mi-24 file and the helicopter shows up...only it's an Albino. I got it all installed, but Gepard's Afghanistan texture won't show. The helicopter is white with the decals on it. I placed a texture from AllenJBs Mi-24 and it shows fine. So... why doesn't the Gepard Afghanistan texture show?
  18. Wrench, I imported the Super MystereB2, VautourIIA and MystereIVA from WOI to WOE. I put cockpits in them and they work in WOE. I put them back in WOI to activate them there, and only 1 works. I suspect that's because I used the F-100.LOD from WOE to get two of the cockpits working. The cockpit that works in WOI was a complete cockpit set. Been working all day to activate the MiG-21's in SF Gold. Can't seem to get a MiG-21 cockpit where the pilots sit in the seat and not behind it. Any idea which numbers in which file get changed to move the pilot forward in a seat? The MiG-21 cockpits here all place the pilot behind the seat in SF Gold. Suspect it's just an old game quirk. I think most of the cockpits were built around WOE, WOI or WOV. I also keep losing the weapons if I make any changes to any airplane ini files. Go figure.

  20. Hi all, I did this a couple years back and thought there is a post in the KB on how to do this, but can't seem to find it. Also lost my notes. I tried to install a campaign that requires planes from WOI be placed in WOE. I copied the planes folders over to WOE and extraced all the lod's and other plane files from the objectsdata.cat file and placed them in the separate plane folders. Also made sure all weapons are in weaponsdata.ini. Planes don't show up in single missions. What did I not do or do wrong?? Can anyone point me to the KB on this? Thanks, Geary

  22. Hi all, Anyone have any experience with any Voice Command Software, like GameVox or VAC, etc? I'm interested in trying some to avoid having to use the keyboard to give my wingman, flights and squadrons keyboard commands, but want to make sure it works with Strike Fighters 1 & 2. Also need to know if any interfere with TrackIR. Any help is appreciated. Geary
  23. Hi all, It seems to me that I've dealt with this problem before but can't seem to find my notes or the KB post that fixes it. I loaded SF2V and it was there. Added SF2V Expansion Pack and it disappeared from the SF2V install but is there in the Expansion Pack install. Any help in locating the missing inflight map will be appreciated. Geary
  24. Hi all, This topic has probably been asked and answerd many times here but I can't seem to find a difinitive answer. Will the Series 1 Strike Fighter games run in Windows 7 64-bit? Is yes, how? I know Series 1 runs in Window 7 32-bit. That's what I used to have, but got a new rig and it's 64-bit. The games start, then cdt when I try to fly a mission. Any help pointing me in the right direction is appreciated. Geary
