  1. galoub, Interesting idea. I'd thought of doing this, too, but didn't track down info on red carrier groups or which red planes would fly from them. Any info/thoughts on this? Wilches, My USN/USMC and RN sea planes/jets fly off from carriers in carrier groups. Don't recall how much or what I did to make that happen but I think much is already built into the Korean V3 terrain. I do remember I had trouble finding a RN carrier from that era and am now using the Ark Royal as a stand-in.
  2. That plane or truck wasn't the only one or two on the airfield.
  3. I took a flight around an airfield in the Formosa terrain and found this: Don't know if it's a driving plane or flying truck. Could be both. Might just be a plane playing hide-and-seek or a new camouflage.
  4. Thanks for the effort. Something else to add to my list of things to do.
  5. Raven, Landing gear data as asked for. Any help is appreciated. // Landing Gears --------------------------------------------------------- [RightMainGear] SystemType=LANDING_GEAR Retractable=FALSE DeployTime=1.0 AnimationID=1 DragArea=0.278 HideGearNode=FALSE ModelNodeName=Gear_Right ShockNodeName= ShockAnimationID= ShockStroke=0.11 ;0.4 SpringFactor=3.0 ;4.0 DampingFactor=2.0 ;0.4 WheelNodeName001=rwheel RotationAxis=X-Axis ReverseModelOrientation=FALSE RollingRadius=0.4 CastoringWheel=FALSE HasBrakes=TRUE BrakingCoefficient=0.75 RollingCoefficient=0.00 MaxDeploySpeed=133.75 [LeftMainGear] SystemType=LANDING_GEAR Retractable=FALSE DeployTime=1.0 AnimationID=1 DragArea=0.278 HideGearNode=FALSE ModelNodeName=Gear_Left ShockNodeName= ShockAnimationID= ShockStroke=0.11 ;0.4 SpringFactor=3.0 ;4.0 DampingFactor=2.0 ;0.4 WheelNodeName=lwheel RotationAxis=X-Axis ReverseModelOrientation=FALSE RollingRadius=0.4 CastoringWheel=FALSE HasBrakes=TRUE BrakingCoefficient=0.75 RollingCoefficient=0.00 MaxDeploySpeed=133.75
  6. Found a Bell OH-13G Sioux and Bell 47D helicopters at the DAT site. They need work to fly in SF2 but I think they will make nice eye-candy in my Korea install. One finally showed up on an airfield. Slight problem with its attitude. Anyone know what causes this or better yet, how to fix it?
  7. Years after the French exited French IndoChina, France and South Vietnam kissed and made up. France gave South Vietnam a few air planes for it's burgeoning Air Force to help stem the communist tide as it fought along side the American/Allied Forces.
  8. You can run it from anywhere. You just need to find the install you want to load weapons in when it finally opens. Some put a weapons editor or utility folder in their installs and drop the weapons editor in those. Makes it easier to find when needed.
  9. jayo, Assuming you have the latest weapons editor for the SF1 series, try running the weapons editor .exe file while it's still in the zipped file. I.E. open the zipped file but don't extract the weapons editor. Just run it from inside the zip file. I also run the SF1 series in Windows 7 and this works for me. Good luck,
  10. Crusader, Thanks, buddy, that was the fix. No more leaning forward or trying to adjust the view on-the-fly.
  11. The problem I've found with the middle set of numbers is that it moves the view forward some, but changes the gun sight angle. These sets of numbers seem to change other views/angles. Can't seem to move forward without changing some other view/angle. Go figure.
  12. Panama Red, I'd thought that at one time, and you may be right, but IIRC I tried that and it made me cross-eyed for a bit. I'll revisit that entry and give it another try. Thanks,
  13. I know this is probably a simple fix, but I've tried many adjustments and can't seem to find the right one. I've learned to move the cockpit within the plane and in some cases outside the plane. I've learned to move the pilot and or seat around in the plane. I've learned not to mess with some adjustments; I think I was facing upside-down and backwards at one point. I just want to move my point-of-view forward a bit in the cockpit. I want to be straight forward about a foot; closer to the dash/hud. I'd like to go from the first photo view to the second and set it as the default view position. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  14. Wrench, This is like Christmas for me. And still more to come. BTW, missing the decals completely from the Panther. Thanks, again. Geary
  15. Great models. Good stuff. FYI: Don't know if you meant to do this or not, but... the 36th FBS skin does not have the insignia / nationname decals painted on as the other three skins do. Thanks for the KAW stuff. One of my favorite places to fly.
  16. Su-39: http://combatace.com/files/file/9427-su-39-supergrach-sf2/
  17. Wrench, Yeah, I know. Just that I had it in my Korea install and didn't have much of a purpose, so I converted it into a fictional, operational CAS plane. Comes with three .50 cal machine guns and a 37MM cannon. Added rocket pods. Shame to have it sitting in a junk yard doing nothing when it can be repurposed into a decent close air support early jet.
  18. It's the DAT P-59B. Old plane. If it can't be fixed. I've already done an alternate decal scheme. Guess I can just use that. Thanks,
  19. Bell F-59B Airacomet Tankbuster Original DAT P-59B Airacomet. Re-Decaled and Re-Purposed for operational early-jet CAS. Comes stock with three .50 cal machine guns and a P-59 37mm M4 Cannon that can easily open up a T-34 tank. Added rocket pods for better CAS fire power.
  20. Does anyone know what's causing this problem with decals? I'm re-decaling the tail of a plane. I'm using the exact decal.ini entries for both sides to number the tail of the plane. The left side is good, but the right side seems to have a reversed, distorted set of numbers as well. It only happens with decal level = 2 (Numbers). If I place something else there, such as insignia or nation name, it's o.k. It seems to be just the stock decal numbers that do this and only on the right side. Right Side. Left Side. I suspect a mesh problem but don't know enough about mesh/lod's to make an educated guess as to what the problem is. I'm stumped.
  21. Way to go Chief.
  22. MAKO69, WOW! Where did that A-4 come from?
  23. Sheriff001, Please upload when finished. They'll look great and fit in well in any theatre. Wrench, Those B-24 skins look great. Since I can't find them in the download section, I assume they aren't released for public consumption?? BTW, who won that battle?
  24. Wrench, I don't mind you moving this to the correct forum. Thanks for watching out for me. SayWhatt, The loadout.ini comes preloaded for strike and attack with rockets and bombs. I just love that it will carry four A2A missiles in it's primary defence role. And the 4-K carries 2 A2A with 2 laser guided bombs as well as rockets and dumb bombs. I like the 4-K because I can strike and defend at the same time. I was not much of an American standard A-4 fan due to it's lack of self-defense weapons, but these make me feel better about being able to shoot back when necessary. :sohappy: The 4-G would've been a big hit with the USN/USMC A-4 pilots during Operation Bolo. Imagine the NVPAF surpise at being shot at with missiles when they attacked slow-and-low Skyhawk formations with 4-G's trailing the strike planes.
