  1. But I roll commando.
  2. Well, so I went on to Mypay today to see if I got my new E-5 paycheck and found that I'm still getting E-4 pay. So I called up Edwards AFB to find out what's going on. They said they never got any paper work that I got promoted. So I contact my personnel office to find out what the deal is. Apparently, I was almost promoted to an E-6, the personnel manager caught the error (that was more than likely generated by him), corrected it, and forwarded it to our finance unit, who in turn had to open up a CMS case file to headquarters, in which they will have to now conduct an investigation on, and I wont see the new pay until the case file is closed. So I maybe looking at 2 to 2 1/2 months worth of back pay. Untill then, I have to budget my finances as being an E-4. Fun times!
  3. I have decided to go with the Z-06. I just heard from an "inside" source that Chrysler is on the verge of collapsing completely. That means if that company goes under, then I would be SOL if I need replacement parts for a Viper. Apparently they got hit hard from the recession and I guess they have been struggling to make due with paying up to their contracting companies that manufacture the parts for them. I know GM has had it's share of troubles too with the closing of Pontiac and Saturn, but according to my source, it won't be just one division of Chrysler that will fall, but the whole company. This isn't a gurantee, but the possiblity of it happening is very high. Besides, replacement parts for a Z-06 are cheaper and easier to come by since there are more of them out on the road.
  4. :mega_shok:
  5. What I know that will definately not be showing are the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. Apparently, at the last airshow we had, almost all the spectators left the base when the F-22 demo was done, and the Thunderbirds performance was after the F-22. So they were kind of pissy when they didn't have much of an audience to perform in front of. So when they found out that the F-22 was making another appearance for this airshow, they opted out. Too bad really. I kind of loved it when they buzzed our hangar at just a couple hundered feet AGL at mach. Pissed off our 1st shirt though...
  6. Yeeeaahh baby!
  7. I have the pleasure of seeing these things fly all the time. You always get the feeling that the pilots operating them had aspirations of being fighter pilots when they fly by doing some insane pitching and banking maneuvers.
  8. Or the blue man group from Vegas.... hey, that might explain the shiny special effects...
  9. Too bad that the sarlac in Star Wars is only a fictional creature. Would be nice to throw him in and be digested for over a thousand years. I think we could use some methods that were displayed in the Saw movies.
  10. I found this video by accident on youtube about the Gulf of Sidra incident. I wasn't even looking for it and it just popped up. I know other videos of the incident have been posted here before, but not one like this. I think you guys would enjoy this one.
  11. That is uber cool bro! Being on a photo in a museum... hey wait, don't museum's of history supposed to be displaying stuff that's really, really old? Just teasing bro! Seriously though, that is flat out cool! I would be honored if there was a picture of me in a museum... especially a USAF museum.
  12. That's what I figured.
  13. Then it would be .11 shekels since 1 pence = .055 shekels (or rounded to .06 shekels). Or .08 shekels since 1 penny (1 cent) = .04 shekels. Sorry, had to post that... was bored.
  14. Yeah, I heard about that on the news. That family is cursed... and I heard that they almost went to Taiwan. I just hope they don't come here in So Cal. We don't need those kind of earthquakes.
  15. Only problem with getting a ZR1 is that it cost over $100,000.00 and there aren't any used ones out there yet... and even if there were, they would no where get close to the price range in which I'm limiting myself at... I almost got lucky with that 2009 Linginfelter packaged Z-06. Too bad it was in Rhode Island. Here's the link to the Viper that I might be getting... It says it's posted for 49,995, but I spoke with the sales man and they said they would be very happy to lower the price for a military member. Possibly be getting it around $44-45,000.00 VIPER
  16. My thing is, I don't want to deal with renting a house out to someone. This is the same recomendation that I got from everybody that I work with. To me, it's too much of a hasle. I'm not big on the idea of being somebody's landlord. So that's why I stay with just an apartment and enjoy the simpler things in life... like combat sims!
  17. A Bugatti... right... I just happen to not have a lot of expenses to pay and got a lot left over to play with. I'm not bringing in the dough like Tom Cruise does. There are a lot more people in my unit that make a hell of a lot more than me. Infact, one guy in our unit can easily come rolling onto base in a brand new Ferrari, but doesn't. It just boils down to what your monthly expenses are and your dependents. I don't have any dependents, but can claim one on my tax forms. I don't go out and party, don't have a girlfriend (anymore - thank goodness), I don't have a smoking habit to maintain, I'm not a big time drinker, and I don't waste money on stupid things like fancy clothes and narly tattoos - which happens to be what a lot of the guys at work invest in. I probably should be saving up to buy a house, but I really don't see myself living in one unless I get married, which I doubt will happen within the next 5 years. So right now, I'm quite comfortable in my cheap apartment and my limited assortment of clothes. Besides, that's what birthdays and Christmas are for, right?
  18. Ya know what would really look nice with all of this bump mapping going on is a VooDoo with some serious bump mapping!
  19. I'm not offended... I just have a personal passion against abortion. I know that the world sees that as backwards of me.
  20. Wow Unknown Pilot, if that's what your view is on everything, then there is no point for me to argue with you about this. According to how you see things, I am completely backwards. The real question is though which way is the right way. We're both going to state that our views are the correct ones till we're blue in the face. I guess only in the end we will find out what's right and what's wrong.
  21. How can you say that? There's something special about all of us. We are a unique presence in this universe, albeit there may be other intelligent life out there, but it's got to be really freaken rare since we haven't discovered any yet. That means the occurence of intelligent life isn't a common phenomenon, which means its special. Yes, I'm even saying that you're special.... but don't hold me to that
  22. Well I am advocate for pro-life. Have been for a long time. In my point of view, anybody who does value life should be bothered about it. Now, I'm not saying to go out with signs and protest at the local clinic... by the way I think that loses support instead of gains.
  23. Simple way to answer that... Should lives of your family members, your own children should be valued and cherished? If so, then why? Shouldn't that response be the same for an unborn? What makes an unborn undeserving of such a response? Just because of its predicament of being in a womb - which by the way the unborn has no control of. The world rallies left and right for human rights but turns a blind eye to a helpless innocent being that has no control over the situation that it's in. An unborn is a human being and its out of selfishness and ignorance not to acknowledge that.
