  4. What are the limits to the off map airbases? Will aircraft show up from them in single missions? Is there a limit to how far it can be from the map? For instance could I have Diego Garcia as an off map airbase for the Afghanistan map or Engles AB on an IsraelME map?
  5. I didn't think about the direction of flight for the off map aircraft. Good to know that comes into play. I'll have to mess around with single missions. In custom missions I know they'll show up. It's been a hot minute since I've done anything related to SF2.

  10. I'm interested, but have a few thoughts. Even in a what-if, I'm having trouble seeing Argentina providing jets, when their Mirage/Finger fleet was already in the single digits in 2010 or 2011. Or any of the South American countries for that matter just because of how few jets that they have. Israel would be a cool addition. What would the Red Air be? Angolan aircraft, Venezuelan Su-30s and Libyan aircraft? Perhaps Qaddafi orders Libyan aircraft to fly to Angola during Operation Odyssey Dawn much in the same way Iraqi aircraft flew to Iran during Desert Storm? That could be the reason why the UN request goes unanswered because the usual actors are too busy bombing Libya.

    I've been enjoying it on Xbox. Occasional bug, like backpacks spinning around machine gunners, and NEVER PRESSING START while in a game.

  20. There's no hostile airbases on the map, since the Mujahideen didn't have any air power.
  21. Well, after nearly forty years of service with the French Navy, it looks as though the Dassault Super Etendard has finally been retired. The aircraft took part in one last cruise against ISIS over the winter before making its final carrier launch in March. It was officially withdrawn from use in July. The aircraft continues to serve with Argentina in limited numbers. As for the video, it's a classic French tactical aviation video. Low level awesomeness and good on boards.   22. No worries, Spudknocker. I went through the campaign files to see what aircraft I needed and it was pretty much what I had expected.

  24. I've been messing around in DCS 1.5 for about a week now. I've got the Hawk, Mirage 2000C, and Mi-8. But simming on a budget and a laptop means I'm not able to fully enjoy and experience DCS or the new modules with the clickable cockpits since I've got a reduced keyboard compared to a desktop. Because of this, I'm pretty much limited to aircraft without the clickable cockpits, which is a shame, because I enjoy learning the starting procedures and switchology. So, until I either win the lottery or ED gives it a clickable cockpit, I'll be learning the F-15C and MiG-29G or going back to SF2.
