This was confirmed by the Israelies too when they obtained a Syrian MiG-23MLD that was flown to Israel by a Syrian defector and tested its flying characteristics, they were impressed with the quick acceleration the MiG-23MLD had, they even claimed that the MiG-23 has better acceleration performance than the F-16 and F-18 for example, the F-16 can accelerate from 600km/h to 1000km/h at the altitude of 1000 meters in just 15 seconds, while the MiG-23 can accelerate from 600km/h to 900km/h in just 12 seconds something like this...

I checked J-6 Numbers....still not clear it J-6 have large numbers of " XXXX 4-numbers ". But you can use any"XXXXX 5-numbers" for J-6 from any fighter(not JH-7 and Q-5,maybe Su-30?)in PLAAF today(but do not use 8XXXX,they are PLANavy..). These numbers were used by J-6s

There were many different MiG-17 versions in this world. Some version is very rare or Field version... Cuban MiG-17AS over sky. Egypt Fieldversion with 2x4 Rocket rack. NV Fieldversion with 2 FAB250s bombed the USS Higbee and USS Oklahoma City in the Gulf of Tonkin Lim-6Bis of Ex-Red Polish airforce. Very strange MiG-17...Maybe MiG-17R?

Plus: 5 digit numbers is much more easier to read than 4 digit numbers.... I have read a list for this. Later translate....

Plus: I checked some historcal photos I found that the serie numbers is: The first J-5 is "中0101"But this is not the combat serie number. The first serie number must be 0001 or 0101. We know the most correct J-5 serie number is 4 numbers,not 5 numbers after reskin. And we know there are few J-5 left after 1975,so we should check the "4"numbers... After J-6 start into service,most J-5 got a A/G gunsight instead of ex-A/A gunsight,and these J-5 could be 5 numbers. And some J-5 left now update to targert drone....they have 5 numbers,like this. And I checked: So it could be like this: J-5 number is form 1001 to 1xxx,we know J-5A was producted 767 fighters But what about 0xxx? I think they are USSR built MiG-17Fs?... 3637 could be not correct number...because it is stand alone with more uncorrect numbered planes....(Most of them reskined)

Hmmm... I have some info on PLAAF skins details... But unluckly...that's not a PDF,but a magzine... But luckly I found some good stuff.......... Some of these Pics look likely not PLAAF aircraft...but they are indeed 100% J-5 for support(but not export).

Good work! But one porblem... Pakistan F-6 is not 100% a China home used J-6 in shape.. And J-6 is not a 100% MiG-19S...have some differences and many versions......
