I just bought a brand new laptop and WOE plays beautifully on it. However, whenever I go to add new weapons I do what I've always done in XP, copying the data to the .ini, but it won't let me save it. It tells me at first that the file name or path are incorrect which I'm sure they are.

I've asked this before, but are any skinners out there thinking of doing an RAAF SH skin? I've got a Boeing artist's impression of the Superbug in Aussie colours (I believe I posted it before in the Super Hornet thread) and according to an 82nd Wing member on Aussie Modeller International, the Super Hornet markings will be very close to the current 1SQN F-111 (1 and 6SQN have merged). Not sure about the colours though, although I'm hoping the Superbugs will be Gunship Grey, the Malaysian D's look fantastic in it.

I think you mean, F-35B, MAKO. MiGMasher, I think that's a little unfair. The Canberra Class are an excellent design and the RAN did do a comparative analysis of the designs available. While the Makin Island is an improvement on the Wasp Class, it is still based on 20 year-old design and if I'm not mistaken the Spanish Navy intends to operate F-35Bs from theirs so the concept is there. Given that the ADF is of the unenviable position of defending 1/5th of the Earth's surface, Canberra Classes equipped with a squadron of F-35Bs would come in very handy and would go a long way in replacing the loss of air power projection with the retirement of the F-111. Personally, I think it's an absolute tragedy that the RAN has been without a fixed-wing Fleet Air Arm and not replacing the Majestic Class Carriers and Skyhawks and Trackers was one of the biggest mistakes in the ADF's history.

I don't know about a KC-130 -- although, as been pointed out, I don't see why not -- but I found these pics of Indian Mirage 2000s being refuelled by an IL-78. Well, the real Pig dosen't have IRST either; that's the point of a fictional aircraft, you can do whatever you like. Besides which, having a nose mounted camera frees up the weapons bay for more lovely, lovely weapons.

Great minds think alike, Blackbird. ;) I was actually motivated by canadair's RF-111G to make my own upgraded RAAF F-111G. My rationale is that when the RAAF bought the 15 F-111Gs in the 1990s, they actually bought 24 and put them through a Capability Enhancement Program to deal with future threats. Basically, I've just fiddled with the .inis to give my Pig APG-70 and GE F-110s, modern weapons (JSOW, JDAM [i use the BGM-109C as a subsitiute for AGM-158]) SAHMs and Litening. However, I was wondering if any skinning/modding experts out there could tell me how I could replace the TF-30 nozzles with F-110s?

Ignore me, I've gone and disconbobulated myself again...It's actually quite funny.

It's weird, I tried a little test, I have a backup of WOE on an external hardrive and plugged it into my laptop and added the same weapons and the editor recognises them and yet when it's plugged into my PC or the main install on my PC still dosen't recognise them. WTF!

I'm up to 2110 weapons in the weapondata.ini and when I try to add a new weapon with the editor it dosen't recognise it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Indeed, your mod actually gave me the inspiration to create an upgraded RAAF F-111G. One question, how did you get the dual missile rack? I've tried everything in the dual AMRAAM thread, but I can't seem to get it.

Apart from the GBU-24, the RAF rarely uses US air-to-ground ordnance. The Tonkas use the standard UK 1,000lb GP bomb with the Hunting 118 retarding tail. I've got some good pics of them, I'll see if I can find them.
