  1. Cheers bud. Much appreciated. This cockpit is one of the few exaples of a series one cockpit being better than the series 2 version. The only thing that needs to get working when they're supposed to are those RHAW lights.
  2. Hi guys. Does anyoneknow if the RHAW panel lights in the Nesher cockpit ever worked? I copied the cockpit over to the SF2 series a long time back but there's never been any AAA/SAM lights active on that panel in a hostile environment. I've also edited the cockpit.ini file using cockpit data from the SF2 F-4E. I'm just wondering if it's possible as it's a cockpit feature that I'd like to make use of instead of just sitting there making the cockpit look pretty.
  3. Nice skin job bud. It's a pity TK didn't allocate missile rails for the outer pylons on the A-4F_74. Shrikes and Sidewinders would look a lot better and true to real life there.
  4. Hi 23. The Malvinas mod has already been updated for SF2 and it's available for download in the SF2 download section. As to whether you'd be better off using a stand-alone install or not, I couldn't give you an honest answer. The 'Old boys' would know better on that count
  5. WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! My effects are back to normal. Now I can enjoy a good picture show again when I blow up buildings and fuel tanks. F**king yeahhh!
  6. I'll be interested to know of this patch has fixed the effects woes I've been having since I installed Exp2. Buildings, warehouses, fuel tanks etc. are just being replaced by the destroyed model when they're destroyed instead of erupting in a ball of flame and shrapnel.
  7. That's the way they were when I extracted them from the SF2 Weapons Pack. I was thinking the same thing myself. Will sort the exact angles out eventually. The attachment positions and such are all over the shop! Working on it now atm
  8. I'm working on fixing the attachment positions and angles for the Soviet MBD2 and MBD3 bomb racks for some of Lindr2's Soviet bomb models. I'm sure enough of the other entries but just not sure what measurement unit these values represent:
  9. I thought it was a message specifically for me (or should I say my system settings) to get sorted. Right then; now that that little issue's sorted I'm off to try out lindr2's Soviet Bomb pack. Cheers for the look in lads
  10. So all this time I've been unnecessarily holding off on downloading mods? Business as usual then? Only thing is that I always get that message when I want to download something.
  11. But if you read the text in the red box you'll see that continued downloading with my current set up will interfere with the servers on CA. Sure; I can still download from the site at the moment but I'd rather not get a message in the future telling me that I've been prevented from downloading material from CA. Prevention is better than cure in this case I think
  12. Can anyone with some IT experience point me in the right direction with this problem? For over the past month I've been getting this message up when trying to download something from the site here: I thought I'd sorted the problem out by switching off my Accelerators: ........ but that warning message is still coming up. As for download managers I haven't a clue what's on my system or where to find them. At this stage the problem is really p**sing me off big time as there's been a lot of great mods released over the past month and I'd rather get this sorted before I download anyhthing. And, oh yes, I've already tried googling the subject but the results have all thrown me on a brick wall.
  13. Miss Jolly Roger never looked so gooooood. :yikes:I wouldn't kick her out of the bed for farting! Keep up the good work bud.
  14. As regards decal placement, it took me a while to work out but I can tell you now that the decals need to be brought back by a value of 1.4. Some of them might need slight slight adjusting by a fraction more or less, but you'll be able to tell by looking at the decals. The BMPs are a different story. I had to do a lot of doctoring and copying over of pieces of the SF2 stock BMPs to the old ones. That's if you want them to look good Here's an example of what I mean:
  15. :yikes:I wannit! Tricky Dicky sends his regards
  16. That F-5B looks great on the tarmac. Great work , FC
  17. I have had an still do have friends that have walked down the same dark path as yourself. One unfortunately died two years ago. Unlike other 'old friends' we've had over the years I still try to keep in touch with them for the simple reason that having a family member with the same affliction enables you to understand that friend that little bit more than others. If anything I respect you even more for your statement.
  18. D'oh! Just realised that it's my typing style that's the cause. For years I've been using the Caps Lock key instead of Shift to use capital letters. I guess it's time to change my ways
  19. I was hoping you guys would say that. I've spent almost a week doing these and it'd be a shame for others not to get the same enjoyment out of them as I currently am. I just prefer to err on the side of caution so as not to get myself stuck in s**t. I wouldn't dream of uploading someone else's work without a nod of approval from a CA top dog I'll start organising them for an upload over the weekend and put together a suitable readme. I'd do it tonight only I'm going out for a belated birthtday piss-up and chances are I'll be visiting the base sick bay (i.e. the missus) tomorrow for an appointment with Dr. Seltzer
  20. Call me a stickler for correctness, but when I add a new name in the sim, the game doesn't seem to recognise uppercase letters. Don't get me wrong, I know it won't help me fly better but it's just a little nuance of mine Each to his own I suppose
  21. I've been able to do this already as I've been able to change the 'Ace Pilot' name to my own in the Options.NI file of SF2, but I'm trying to do this in SF2V and I keep getting 'Ace Pilot' up when I try to edit my pilot record. Here's what I've done in the SF2E Options .INI: [Pilot] LastName=Curtin FirstName=Enda Callsign=Piecemeal Service=USAF Is there something I've forgotten to do?
  22. Thanks for the suggestions lads. In the end I got tired of trying out different node names and decided in the end to do a little bit of decal moving about. That was one of the first of many FOTF A-7 skins I was working on and after doing a huge pile of A-4 skins I wanted to get the project out of the way so I could get back to some good ol' fashioned mud movin'! Over the weekend I'll be working on updatiing the FOTF A-6 skins for SF2 use. I believe the guy responsible for all these is Paul Nortness? I checked his profile out a couple of days ago and he doesn't seem to have been active in a while. I wouldn't mind uploading all the update work I've done if I had his permission. Oh; and here's some of the A-7 SKINS I've done:
  23. Actually that was one of my wingmen. My aircraft is to the right of the shot just visible behind the MiG. I noticed two aircraft converging very closely and firing at each other so I thought I just HAD to see this close up. I paused the game, went into freeview, took a few screenshots and then allowed the spectacle to commence. They never even clipped wings! What a disappointment when I thought a new dimension of communist Kamikaze was added to the game engine by TK
