Still no joy. Installed the effects pack fresh. I tried it out in the stock Desert terrain and my own updated desert terrain. As far as I can see everything else seems fine; flakbursts, tracers, explosions, etc. You want me to forward the INIs for a look? I really dunno what else to suggest atm EDIT: Just discovered that these effects problems also extend to buildings, hangars, and such. The buildings are instantly replaced by the destroyed model. Just like the fuel and oil tanks. EDIT2: I've also tried running the game with the effects on lower settings without any luck.

Overall bug list for SF2Piecemeal replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion Hi all. Don't know if anyone else has encountered it but there seems to be some problems with Stary's 'Hollywood Effects' mod. The subject's already been brought to Stary's attention here: http://combatace.com/topic/61214-anyone-got-effects-problems-since-exp2/page__gopid__460676

Hi all. I've just been wondering if anyone's had problems with Stary's Hollywood Explosions pack since Exp2? To give an example, all the fuel tanks have been given these effects: DamagedModel= DestroyedEffect=LargeExplosionEffect DestroyedModel=fueltank1_destroyed SecondaryChance=100 SecondaryEffect=MediumOilFire Since Exp2 these effects don't happen. When destroyed the 'fueltank1_destroyed' model just appears. No explosions, no smoke, no fire. This probably isn't the only effect that's been affected, but this is one I've noticed so far, since I'm having trouble with something else. Anyone else got similar problems?

I had something similar happen recently when flying a Hunter9 in SF2'S Desert Thunder campaign. Struck a target in Paran and ended up having to more or less glide it in home for the last ten miles or so with all my tanks empty. Thats one of the things I love about this sim series; no matter how much pre-planning you do, there's always some extra enemy fighters you have to outmanoeuvre or one wingman who needs his 'six' cleared.

1982 And After?Piecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion That's that problem solved! What I'd like to know is how that started in the first place, if it wasn't Exp2. Cheers Ravenclaw; I owe you a cold beer at the club

1982 And After?Piecemeal posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion I don't know if it's something to do with Exp2, but now I can't fly any aircraft (stock or mod) in any terrain (stock or mod) after 1982: I've also added this prompt to the terrains main INI file thinking it might help: [AllowedDates] StartDate=1/1/1950 EndDate=1/1/2010 No joy there. I even checked the terrain INI files mentioned in the 'Changelist' file to see if anything changed there but I'm still none the wiser. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Exp2 Debrief ProblemPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion Problem seems to be sorted. I got the DEBRIEFSCREEN.INI file from the CAT pack and threw it into the Menu folder Strange though, cos I didn't have edited DEBRIEFSCREEN.INI files in there in the first place. As for the other SF2 titles, I haven't even touched them yet. I've got so many mods and tweaked files in my games that I've only just finished replacing and updating the necessary ones in SF2 since I bought Exp2 last weekend

Exp2 Debrief ProblemPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion I'm using the DESERT3_NATIONS.INI file in my updated Desert terrain. Rapier missile dataPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion Still having problems with it. Only this time it's just tracking the target but not firing. I even changed the loadout in the _DATA.ini file to Roland missiles. Same story there as well. It must be something, or rather a lack of something in the _DATA.ini file

Rapier missile dataPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion Cheers Wrench I haven't tried out that new terrain yet. You're right about the SFP1 SAMs though. I dunno of its already been done but I've got the Hawk SAMs working in SF2. I can throw em your way so you can give them a once over if you want. Piecemeal
