I think guys that you can't fault the SF2 cockpits; especially when you compare them with SFP1 versions. When I first purchased SF2 I was totally gobsmacked with the effort that TK put into them. For anybody that doesn't have the SF2 series - what are you waiting for?!!! The cockpits alone are just one of the good enough reasons to invest in them Since I bought the SF2 series I haven't looked back once. As for aircraft I'd love to see more of; well I know the Jaguar is already available in Column5. But lately I added it to SF2 and although the flight model is pretty good I do miss little cockpit additions you'd find in the SF2 models like (for example) the control stick. I don't know if I've ever seen any French Air Force versions either. Other models that are available but I think could do with a little work are two of my add-on favourites; the Mirage F1 and the Mirage IIIE. Fantastic models for the most part otherwise

Jaguar Fuel GaugesPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion No joy I'm afraid, guys. The Jaguar HUD mod is more for SFP1/WOE and the NF4+ mod doesn't include any Jaguar files. I think this is more of a minor differences issue between first and second generation SF

The Giant Claw, eh? I'd watch that one with a six pack of beer just for the sheer comic value. And what?; Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus? I bet the producers were up all night thinking up the title for that one

View File Updated Stock Campaigns for Updated SF2 Desert Terrain These are edited stock campaigns to suit the Updated SF2 Desert terrain that I recently released. While the original campaigns would work without much bother, they wouldn't give the benefits of all the additions I made to the 'Desert3' terrain. These include: * All US Navy campaigns being carrier based. * Players will now have the additional option of flying campaigns for the RAF. * The two extra Parani airfields in Desert3 are included in these campaign files. Enemy squadrons have been assigned to them. * The SF2 stock campaign files failed to give the player the benefits of having the option to fly in the new stock aircraft that are now available in SF2. These edited campaign files now include the Hawker Hunter, the F-4M/F-4M_75, the F-105D/D_66 Thunderchief, the A-7 Corsair (USAF/USN) and the Harrier GR.1/GR.3. INSTALLATION: Just unzip the RAR file and move the contents of the 'CAMPAIGNS' folder to your SF2 game's 'Campaigns' folder. For those who might be concerned; these new campaign files WON'T overwrite your stock ones. I'm not sure if the CVA-63 and SCB-125 stock carrier models were included with the stock SF2 groundobjects; but if they're not, simply copy those folders from your SF2V/Objects/GroundObject folder. If you don't have SF2V or if you've no wish to get SF2V, please let me know in this release's Support Topic and if there's enough demand for it I'll release these campaigns with land-based USN squadrons. Happy flying folks! Piecemeal Submitter Piecemeal Submitted 03/15/2010 Category User Made Campaigns

I've been using it for the past few months while populating it and there's been no problems at all as regards patches. The terrain folder itself is called 'Desert3', so patches won't affect it as they won't take any notice of add-on folders. The campaigns should work properly but you won't get the full benefit of (for example) the two extra Parani airfields I've added - the default campaign INIs won't recognise P13 and P14 airfields, as they're not listed in the default files. The Dhimari airfields I moved will still be recognised by the campaign files, as they're still called D9 and D10. I'm currently working on some edited default campaign INI files to suit the terrain better and give you more of a benefit of what's been added. They'll be uploaded as soon as I've polished them off; which won't be long from now

Korat Airbase Add-onPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion Ah, so that's why I can't place objects on it properly. For a minute I was starting to worry that maybe my SF2 installation was f**ked up.

I think I've realised what's happening. I was having trouble adding stuff in the right position due to a problem with what I've already got in the area. As an experiment I added Armourdave's Korat Airfield mod to the Desert terrain http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=1019 I was trying to put a control tower next to the runway but it was never putting down where I wanted it. Everywhere else is fine for object placement. As regards the Madagascar terrain, it's also an old SF1 mod that'll probably need a little work to bring it up to speed with SF2

A German firm called 'Style Your Garage' creates posters for garage doors that make it look as if it's actually showing the interior of your garage - and what's inside it! Prices range from $199 to $399 for the double door. All are guaranteed to make passers by take a second look!

Korat Airbase Add-onPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion So does that mean I should reverse the position entries on my TARGETS.ini or that the entry on the mod file is just backward?

Korat Airbase Add-onPiecemeal replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion Co-ordinates are from the default VIETNAMSEA, not the Korat mod. I just took a look at the height above ground level for the area: Should I go for a height entry a little above that? 331; cheers for the input. if at all possible I'd love to get to the bottom of this. This mod is too good looking to not use. I'll play around with those distance numbers now for a few minutes and see if it bears fruit.
