What the heck is going on with the positioning of that airfield? How it juts out into the sea like that.... weird. -

And in my opinion is a better looking model... cant wait until it gets upgraded to the current standard. -
(1) It is my understanding that the thirdwire lod export utility tool is incompatible with the current versions of 3ds max ... that it only works with max 2009. Is that correct? (2) backwards compatibility- can a model completed in the current version of max be imported into the 2009 version for .LOD creation and then export to the sim? thanks for your advise.

Yeah getting your TW crusaders into the 1976 start date of this title... or adding all of the other pertinent flyables such as the F-4J and a boat load of other aircraft that were still in service in the mid to late 1970's -

Hey look you've got trees... I have yet to see any. Found a bug with the jet exhaust spreading vertically... weird. I see a lot to like so far. -
I would say that we as a community probably convinced TK to take SF2NA to a higher level than he had originally planned... I think he has put a lot more work into it that he had originally planned, and that he continues to work to improve it. This is a good thing!!! I think that we should all be thankful for that and stop pressuring him about the release date.

I believe the Marines had a couple of F-8 squadrons up until 1977 or 78 -
Did not mean to hurt your feelings bro, I was not comparing the size of our E-penisis My current rig is not any where near monster stats I just quoted... but my next one will be. Just pointing out the huge difference in power between the top end systems that are available as of this year: massively powerful hex core chips -amazing GPU's - motherboards loaded with 64 gigs of memory. You wont see anything in tablet form that will touch an average desktop let alone an Enthusiast rig in the near future... no mater what Steve Jobs said about the issue. If you read my post you will see that I did not call any one names, what I said was it was a basic tool for the average joe.. meaning that it is extremely limited in power and wont do anything particularly well.

Seriously? The reason I did not upgrade was all of the issues people were having, and I am sure that is when the cloud problems were first noted. I remember exp2 raising all kinds of issues and like 4 patches needed to straighten it all out... in the end the clouds were gone. This is what i remember- CA thread 1 and this - My link and these issues too props

Still have not sorted out the issues with the thirdwire mission editor, read a little bit of the thread on the fixes to get it working with ships and such just have not had the time to play with it yet... mainly because it is so much simpler to just use Lemissioneur in WOE and then import the mission into Sf2E and convert the file to unicode.

The very latest high end flight sim rigs are running oc'd hex core processors at over 5ghz and multiple overclocked gtx580's each with 3 gigs of vram, pushing multiple monitors at very high resolutions. The idea of a tablet stepping into enthusiast level flight sim territory in the next few years is comedy. I dont see myself using a tablet to render my AfterFX projects or 3ds max scenes anytime soon either LOL. Tablet computing is for the average guys basic needs, not for anything serious .

Yep they were out of NAS Alameda, I've got more images if you're interested. that scheme was a constant with the squadron from the mid 70's right up until the end in the late 80's the only thing that really changed were a few birds done in either gunship grey or medium blue grey markings for the low vis schemes.

Ive been scripting missions using some of our third party ships that are capable of launching surface to surface missiles like the Iowa class battleships and the Ticonderoga class cruisers. I have noticed that the missiles are falling short of their targets( only 20 miles away) some self destruct but most seem to fall into the sea about a mile out from the target. This is happening with both cruise and standard missile types. Does any one have any idea how to fix this ? Or perhaps some working data they might be willing to share? Thank you for your time.
